  1. This was one game I really enjoyed. We totally dominated them in the first half but we came back out without a plan for the changes they had to make. Still we eventually adapted and made life difficult for them. We defended extremely well and nothing we could have done would have stopped them equalising but we didn't let that get our heads down. We kept going and won a very well deserved point.

Two complaints though. My fave player RD needs to look in front of him before giving the ball away.

Odi was crap and should not get a start.

    Get well soon Nick.

Oh and Shinnie deserves his new contract

Eric can be a good player, just not strong enough for SPL, both in tackling and passing.

  2. Hi everyone.

I wanted to send you a holiday greeting, but it is so difficult in today's world

to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my lawyer

yesterday, and on her advice I wish to say the following:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an

environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, nonaddictive,

gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practised with the

most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your

choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of

others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically

uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year

2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures

whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply

that Scotland is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard

to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual

    preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms:

This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely

transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise

by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others

and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of

the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual

application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a

subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to

replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the

    wisher.

Disclaimer: No trees were harmed in the sending of this message; however, a

significant number of electrons were slightly inconvenienced.

    Regards

    J.

  3. I'll admit it's taking time, but this team are improving with every game. I thought our passing game last night was as good as I've seen for years, the defense is starting to gel, and plenty of width on both sides of the park. Only criticism was some unnecessary stray passes in midfield and a lack of confidence in front of goal. Rossco back made a huge difference and although not his greatest fan, Imrie would have enjoyed himself last night. All in all a good day at the office.

  4. Stunned at the level of support for Imrie. I like him as a player but he has serious discipline problems. The reason he was hooked was because he had lost the plot and was in danger of being yellow or red carded. He was fairly (and easily) robbed a few times, and deliberately fouled his opponent. In recent games he has made decent runs down the wing but has also run out of ideas or steam when he gets there, the ball ending up out for a throw or goal kick.

A lack of discipline was CC's downfall, it may also be the end of CB.

  5. The match commander on saturday was Andy Cowie, a policeman with a sensible approach to policing. I have no doubt there would have been a wee word in someones ear to "cool it". If theres no hassle, why create some?

Long may the tolerant approach continue.

    Well played section "G".

  6. Here we go again, same old sh*te. Season after season we rely on "teamwork" and "team spirit", when what we really need is for the team to learn how to pass the ball to someone else wearing the same strip.

For those who were there watching the St Mirren game, you might have noticed their pre match warm up, scared the crap out of me when I realised their whole routine was fast one touch passing! My fears were realised when they controlled the game for most of the ninety minutes.

You can be as fit as f*ck, but if you give the ball away like we do you are going to lose.

You cannae score if you don't have the ball, and know how to keep it.

It will not be our lack of goals or how many we concede that will bury us, it wil be our lack of ability to keep possession that will do it. The latter will lead to the former.

On a brighter note, we have a young team who could really go places, top six is definately up for grabs. Go get em!

  7. That will be the same forum and fans who have sponsored him for the last how many years ?

Yes Scotty, but reading this topic and others, there seems to be a differnce between sponsoring and supporting!

My post was only meant to indicate that we are a few days away from the start of the season and the majority of the posters on here have doubts about our captain. I'd just like to see the guy given the benefit of doubt.

By the way, that is the gayest hammock I have ever seen! Frilly bits? You've been away too long.

  8. I hope Grant doesn't read this forum, but if he does I hope he ignores all the negative sh!te and realises that most of the fans support his captaincy, and applaud the time and effort he has put into his career at ICTFC.

As for you " he's all we've got" types, GIRUY.

Go Grant, all the best for the season ahead. :rotflmao:
