  1. Is Zapata still on trial? A number of good players were freed on deadline day so I'm hoping we may land someone out with the transfer window.
  2. I remember the courier stating a similar article saying Paul Hartley had the ICT job...A few hours later it went to Yogi. Hoping this is true regarding Mixu though. If so then the board need to do the right thing and tie Yogi down to a new deal. **Scratch the above. Just been confirmed by Sky. Paatelainen is off to United

    Thank you L_G

Don't tell me Yogi is taking her to Dundee United too?? In all seriousness. Best of luck L_G. Been a massive help over the years. Club shop will never be the same.
  4. In many respects Yogi has maxed what he was capable of achieving with us in such a short space of time. He inherited a fantastic team that was very capable but he was the one who got the best out of them. He was never going to better last season. What would have been intriguing was whether or not this current crop would have progressed under his reign as it was the first time he'd had to recruit so extensively. Despite a rocky start there have been massive signs of improvement and a lot of promise shown, especially from some of the new boys. Would be a pity to see him go as things were beginning to turn things around. I dont like pointing fingers but I feel the board have to shoulder some blame if he does go. The summer was always going to be a bit of a rebuild and on the back of what Yogi achieved the board should have taken care of him first and given him a new contract. Build stability again from the top. If I were Yogi I'd have been a bit scunnered that my long term future was not a top priority on the back of European qualification and our first major trophy. United see in him the success he achieved here and its no surprise they want him. The challenge there will be a massive one. Its poorest United team I've seen in years. If Yogi wants to go then he cant be stopped. Get the best compensation and start gaffer shopping. I'll be forever grateful to him for giving us such an amazing 2 years as a club. In terms of who we should get to replace him I'd like us to go for Stuart McCall if its affordable. He favors shopping down south which suits our budget and squad and he's spoken highly of us in the past. He had a terrific run at Motherwell, may not have ended great but still achieved plenty and built a formidable team. Doubt the board would give the job to Richie but would like to see him get a coaching job. Maybe as McCalls assistant or something.
  5. Hibs have bid for him too...

    Trialists

We don't need anymore wingers. Breaming with enough quality there already
  7. I know it's a division below but Hibs have Cummings, Keatings and Malonga on their books and Farid El Alagui is still there too. Would it be worth trying to get him on loan maybe? Very capable player.
  8. Hooman was carrying a long standing injury and as a result of that he was let go. He was given time to see if there wad improvement but unfortunately there wasn't.

    Nairn v ICT

Any word on who the trialist is?

    Dani Lopez

I'm not surprised. Yogi was clearly a fan. Lopez did look very unfit but hopefully with some game time he will shape up nice. Wonder if any of the other trialists will share a similar outcome.

    Trialists

Be surprised if we don't offer Lopez a contract. Yogis been a fan of him for years.
  12. Any of the trialists left backs?
  13. Was Pavels Mihadjuks not a loan signing? Same with Bulvitis...will leave folks to decide who goes where
  14. Would just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who has supported us and been kind enough to pass comment throughout the week. Myself and the rest of the boys in the band could never have predicted the acclaim and coverage we would recieve but the song was written ultimately for the great people that follow ICT through thick and thin and we are so glad its captured the hearts of those people. We've done our utmost best to get folks well and truly psyched for tomorrow. Cannot wait!!
  15. Really appreciate all the positive feedback and kind comments. I speak on behalf of the rest of the band when I say we never anticipated the level of acclaim we've got. A huge thank to you all. Mannys hints are correct. We will be playing the song live for STV on Friday in the social club.
  16. We've released a music video for the song. Selection of our favourite moments as ICT fans from time gone by. Hope you enjoy it.
  17. Written and recorded by yours truly and my band Tale of two cities. This song is the result of a bet I lost after we beat Celtic. I promised I would deliver a cup final song if we made it to the final. Released an acoustic demo and it received such acclaim that I felt it was only right to put together a finished version. It may not be everyones cup of tea, but I wrote it myself. Very easy to write about something you either know a lot about or care a lot about and in my case it fits both those categories. All of my band are ICT fans and the song was also produced by ICT fans too...basically its for the fans.
  18. Have to hand it to Yogimeister. He took his time and did what he felt was the best business for the club and we now have 2 new arrivals who have decent records. Will be looking on with great anticipation between now and May.
  19. From the sounds of it Kink might be a decent player to play just off Big Eddie
  20. Not a cheque book manager? He shelled out a 6 figure fee on Anthony Stokes for Hibs
  21. I like the idea of Ojamaa very much. Was also looking at Lyle Taylor. He seems to be struggling for game time at Scunthorpe. Would a loan deal for him be a possibility.
  22. Billy must have been on a decent wage. Hopefully between that and the fee we got we should be able to bring in at least one player. Rory Loy is a great shout. With a contract expiring hopefully Falkirk would accept around 50k for his services. I must admit I like the idea of Scott Mcdonald too. His experience and ability at this level would be excellent. I really rate Dominique Molonga at Hibs too but I doubt that would be possible.
  23. Billy is offski, Marley 50/50 but I doubt he will stay. Meekings, Ross and Raven I'd retain. All three are key players and there contribution will be even more pivotal if we face a bit of a rebuild. Polworth has done nothing to convince me he is worth a place in the team and the fact he barely makes it onto the bench says it all - time to bin him. Same with Horner, hes no use. Devine by the summer will have been here for 2 and a half years and while he looks decent he's never been able to break up Warren or Meekings for any length of time. If he values his career I would imagine he will move on in search of games. Though were Meekings to leave I'd get Devine signed up.
