The point is....it's just a bit of fun. Andrew has explained the situation and admitted that it wasn't perhaps the ideal way to have done it, but he did the right thing and stuck by the rules as he had been doing throughout the whole tournament and that is precisely how it should have been handled IMO. And can you remind me who it was that recommended the Metro Fantasy League that went t!ts up for days on end and who it was that got all defensive when people started to get critical of it? Your doing exactly what you had a go at others for doing in that situation, which is just a tad hypocritical don't you think?

You can argue that Bayne wasn't quite good enough, but it's the manager who decides who to play and all we can ask from any player is that they give it their best shot when called upon. When it comes to Bayne, what he lacked in finesse he more than tried to make up for in effort and you can't fault a player who gives 100% every time they are on the park....and lets not forget that he scored some very important goals for us during his time here too. I think it's safe to say that he leaves ICT with no bad feelings, thanks for the part he played in getting (keeping) us where we are today and best wishes for his future with Dunfermline.

What's the situation with Zibi? I've heard stories ranging from "we couldn't afford his wages" to "He might be going to C*unty" to "Brewster is keen to keep him". He got a lot of stick from our own fans last season based on performances before coming to us but I think he looked as solid as anyone when he got his chances and wouldn't be upset in the slightest to see him here again next season. Cuthbert is one of those keepers who, despite performing reasonably well, always seems to have been second choice at St Johnstone. Perhaps after 10 years of it (and only 5 appearances last season) he's decided he would rather be somewhere that he's going to get a more regular start? If that's the case then he could either be looking to go somewhere he'll be an immediate first choice or he may be hungry enough to come into a team (like ICT) and really push for his place. Their might very well be other reasons he's been let go, but my gut tells me he'd be worth a punt.

C*unty will be due something in terms of compensation as he's not yet 24 but I can't imagine it will be all that much as he'd only been with them a year and will be 24 in 6 months. I'd be surprised if it worked out at anything more than ?8-10k. I think it's even more important now that we sign an experienced and proven SPL scorer to play alongside him or retain the services of Niculae. Barrowman has an obvious eye for where the net is and he'll need someone like Marius to feed him and draw defenders to give him the space to shine....something we saw Marius do against Killie at the end of last season when they had 2 defenders on him the whole game, he constantly drew them out wide leaving space for others to get in and score....do that for someone with a talent for finding the net and we'll get full benefit from Barrowman......stick him (Barrowman) alongside someone like Bayne or Rory and we'll get little from him IMO.

The point I was making is that it's just a headline and journalist beliefs....no direct quotes from club or player confirming it. Not saying it's wrong, but it's not exactly unknown for the BBC (or others) to get their wires crossed on these things.

Some of our guys went down and had a look at the Sheffield setup and some of there's came up here I believe. Other than that I've not heard anything more. Think it was more of a "business" connection that Sutherland has/had with someone there that never really came to anything. Don't think their was much in the speculation about us doing business with Romanov. From what I can recall at the time it was just Sutherland taking a look at whether or not Eastern Europe was somewhere we might be able to get a player or two and, again, nothing ever came of it.
