1. Goal Highlights....4 cracking goals by the looks of it. I actually listened to much of the game with brief spells of video and Marius seemed to get plenty of mention. As it was in Romanian or something I can't tell you why though :015:
2. Anyone want to take bets on it being our friend Neil MacGregor :015: BBC Link
3. That was in 2000 when the SPL increased from 10 to 12 teams....They had 3 up & 1 down that season to balance the numbers. As to the situation with Airdrie Utd/Stirling. When Airdrieonians went bust in 2001/02 they still had relegation with Raith getting relegated and Falkirk were saved from relegation/play-offs despite being second bottom. So this year is consistent with that.
4. Sorted....looks like you deleted the

tags. Although I may need to check the forum settings as not everyone has permission to use them and I might need to amend that. (i.e. it may not have been your fault)
5. I hadn't thought of that :029: :tic01:
6. It's not a wholly unsubstantiated "p!ss take".
7. :021: 4-0 and I took a wad of money off punters on Betfair in the doing of it. Looking forward to reports on how Marius got on....loads of subs (as you expect in these games) and he came on in 48 minutes.
8. Just attach them to your original post and then those who want them can just download them :004: If you want them converted to PDF so people can read them without the need for Microsoft Word then e/mail them to me and I'll do that for you.
9. Which is tomorrow (Saturday) :015:
10. I agree with doing the specifics "on the quiet" but I still think it would be a positive thing if the club were to say what plans are for the new season in terms of how they want to build/rebuild the squad. You look at Falkirk and whilst Hughes has never named targets, he has said that he is looking to bring in older more experienced players...and that's what he's doing. ICT should be undertaking similar communication with fans....it's become my favourite saying, but "The club need to manage fan expectation better" Personally, I don't know enough about players outwith ICT and the SPL, so I won't comment on the standard of player we may or may not be looking at. That's a job for the club to do and I will only comment in hindsight. I also don't really give a toss where we look either. I've seen enough players come to ICT from all other areas of football over our short history to realise that signings from lower leagues/teams can often prove more valuable than signing/loaning players from bigger leagues/teams - Fetai v Imrie anyone? I have fears about next season, but they have very little to do with who we do or don't sign and more to do with the managers ability to get the best from whatever the final squad is.....so I won't be getting to upset or excited about anyone we might sign (or not) during the summer.
11. The final squad has already been selected :017:
12. Unfortunately not, but I will try and keep it as up to date as possible during the Tournament. Mee can also update it as it's her original post, and you can too as an mod (with the ability to edit others posts) Just copy and paste the text from the third box on THIS PAGE and paste it between the HTML tags I created on the opening post.
13. The description I was told was mainly blue with red/black/white panel design under the arms (side panels) and on the collar.
14. I had....I just managed to delete it while screwing around so am in the process of redoing it :015:
15. I've added code for the league table to the opening post :001:
16. Anyone with more knowledge of these things want to hazard a guess at what they think Romania's starting eleven will be?
17. Looks like Niculae also got his requested #18 shirt :021:
18. What were you searching for caleyd? :015: Was trying to find a source for summer transfer activity.
19. No.....He's our Marius!!!! And if the board at ICT can come to the realisation that progress is not simply measured on the size of the bank balance, then he might continue to be "Our Marius".
20. I happened upon a very interesting list of player "values" whilst searching for something else.......... http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/verein/2451...startseite.html Makes for some interesting reading....especially when you see Wyness was valued as our second (equal) most expensive player at 600,000 Euros...how much did we get for him exactly??? It also says that Craig Brewster is worthless :024: :015: My German isn't great and I can't work out what the values are based on, but it makes for some interesting viewing all the same.
21. CaleyD replied to BornCaley's topic in Caley Thistle
It provides a starting point, even if it is a "they all suck" people will at least know which direction not to go :001:

I'll see if I can dig out the entries from the Song Competition we did in conjunction with the Courier....might be some inspiration in there somewhere for something.
23. You mean something like the one I had designed for them back in 2004?
24. I can understand the Motherwell fans being a bit peeved at the parading of the Trophy. The match should have been closed off in a more fitting tribute of some kind to Phil O'Donnell. However, I think some people are getting a wee bit carried away by the whole "hijacked" thing. The aim of this match was to raise funds for the Family Trust.....and it did that. The Motherwell Fans will have a chance to pay (another) tribute to him when they have the match to mark the renaming of the Main Stand at Fir Park. If they think a fitting tribute is to spend 90 minutes crying into their Bovril then they can do it then.
25. If you had asked me this very same question during most of last season then I would have said 'No'. It was my view back then that the armband was effecting him as a player and distracting him sufficiently to be impacting on his performances. However, I agree with much of what he's said to the reported insomuch as he's grown into the roll and embracing it more and more with each game. I also think that a large part of his dip in performance early in the season was attributable to not having someone playing alongside him in whom he had full confidence and he found himself often doing the work of two centre backs. He's gone through the "pain" of learning and come out the other side and I don't see anyone in the current squad who would be more suited to the task.....for that reason I think he should remain as the Captain. On the subject of Brewster having not given him any assurances yet...that's just the nature of things right now. We don't have a clue as to who the squad will be next season (and I suspect Brew also has little clue). The final decision has to wait until we know that otherwise you risk telling someone they will be Captain, then signing a more suitable character and either not having the best person in the roll or upsetting the person you have given it to early by removing it from them.
