  1. In your very next paragraph in your above post for a start.... If he's not being "blasted" then it's probably safe to assume that he's playing the roll he's been sent out to perform. Is it his fault that the Manager isn't playing him in a system that suits his strengths??? We know Niculae can make a hige contribution to the team, he's proved that already, so when he's played in a system which has been failing away from home for some time now it's hardly down to his lack of ability and ENTIRELY down to the tactics being employed by the manager. Maybe he shouldn't be played away from home when we are playing him in the wrong place, but again, it's not his fault and I don't know of any player who would say..."you know what boss...that's not my strongest position and I think you should play someone else". As the saying goes....."a person can only p*ss with the c*ck they are given". You have a lot of valid points to make regarding the carry on at the club this season but, IMO, you are losing/have lost the respect of a lot of people on this site through your insatiable desire to try and use Niculae as some kind of route to express your disappointment and have a go at the club. You seem to think that he has something to "prove" aside from his performances on the park. I don't disagree that it's nice to see a bit of loyalty, but you seem to want Niculae to do something which has never been expected of ANY ICT player in the last 14 years. Many good players have left ICT with the best wishes of the fans because we knew that, when push came to shove, we just couldn't afford to keep them....why should it be any different in this case if Niculae moves on? I've agreed with you on many things this season when others have laughed at the prospect of your being anywhere near the truth, far less bang on the money. But your fascination with knocking Niculae is turning into victimisation, especially as many of the problems which (may) have arisen as a result of his signing are nothing to do with him as an individual or his ability on the pitch.
  2. If you were goading a large group of Hearts fans then the chances are the escort was as much for your own protection as anything else to be totally honest :015:
  3. Many people probably wouldn't consider ?3.99 a month a lot of money, but yesterday I went to see if I could tune into the Toronto FC game to listen to the match and I discovered that you can get Live Game Video for $19.95 for the WHOLE season or Audio for $4.95 for the Whole season!!!.....and to top it all off you get a choice of Home/Away commentary in either Spanish or English. This country has a lot of catching up to do with these things.
  4. You can't have it both ways Johndo....your on another thread slating Brewster for playing Niculae in the wrong position and then you come on here and slate Niculae for not being up to scratch!!! Which is it?
  5. It's actually quite amazing just how much strength we do have in the depth of the squad when you take Wilson and Wyness back into the picture.....something I really hope Brewster takes into consideration when it comes to crunch time for keeping these guys or letting them go.
  6. Have edited the Poll to include an "Undecided" option and set it to allow people to change their vote.
  7. Ok guys and girls...it's time to forget all the other goings on for a few hours and get down to the business of discussing the football. I had hoped to make it to the game today but alas, it wasn't to be. I have a feeling we're going to see (hear) a great match and if the results of both teams from last week are anything to go by then a good few goals to boot. BRING IT ON............. [li]Discuss the game in this very thread right here :004:[/li] [li]Get to the chatroom HERE[/li] [li]See the subs / bookings / report - after the game starts - HERE[/li] [li]See the stats etc after the game has ended by choosing today's game from HERE[/li] [li]At the game ? - Dont forget to vote in the POLL after the game has ended. 8. I hope Malky has brushed up on his tapping technique before they arrive :tic01:
  9. Something else that has been bugging me the last couple of years....... When Sutherland stepped down as Chairman he said that Tullochs Shareholding in ICT would be getting transferred to a new "Inverness Sports Trust"....yet this doesn't appear to have happened. I also heard rumour not so long ago that he (Sutherland) had been in the throws of signing over proxy on his shareholding to the Supporters Trust but it was put on hold/reversed as he had things to take care of first. At the time I didn't think too much off the rumour that he was going to hand over his proxy and thought the "had something to take care of first" line was just the get out for it never having been a reality anyway....but now it makes sense.
  10. If you check back the forums you will see that I have been saying for the last 2 or 3 years that the club would not be where it is in the next few years. Sutherland has been buying up all the land which will border the new Western Distributor road (including Dunain Park Hotel and all the outlying farmland/fields) for some time now, and with the value of the land the stadium currently sits on poised to go through the roof with the advent of the new Harbour development and Sutherland best positioned to better develop that area for higher return then it's no coincidence that he is championing a stadium move.
  11. That article with Savage mentions a few of the "bigger" things he wanted to do, but if it had gone in to a lot of the smaller stuff then you could probably write a short novel on it. He wanted to do so much to try and improve the match day experience and was blocked, not just at boardroom level but by the outright refusal of certain members of the staff at the club to take his ideas on board. There's a few people out there (not just at the club) who are in positions of responsibility who could, and should, be speaking out to let the fans know exactly what has been going on, and the sooner they do so the better.
  12. The fact is....most of you are making huge assumptions about what Niculae is getting paid and none of you have a clue. The ?4000/?5000 per week is nothing but press speculation and has been since day one.
  13. I disagree and think that we should be hearing talk from the boardroom on a regular basis. If you go back to the days of the "Boardroom Banter" where the club gave regular news to the fans we didn't have near as many issues with fans getting p!ssed off by the board as we've had in recent years. The information has a habit of getting out to the fans anyway, and the club would be doing themselves a lot of favours if the grasped the nettle and made sure it was done properly and not via rumour and conjecture. If people know what's going on then less time is spent discussing the rumours and more time can be spent focusing on events on the field. As the saying goes...prevention is better than cure.
  14. It would very much depend on the companies Articles of Association. It's not uncommon for a Board of Directors to have the power to veto new shareholders, but I can't think of any instance whereby they could veto the transfer of shares to an existing shareholder. Certain regulations kick in if a person is trying to obtain a majority shareholding (like making an offer for all shares in the company) but we're not talking about that right now.
  15. George Fraser comes over well in his interview with Charles Bannerman http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/7365237.stm
  16. My first thoughts were "Why the feck would anyone want to be Chairman of ICT right now". I then thought that this could be the first step towards regaining some stability....before realising that George Fraser was a member of the Board who sanctioned actions which caused the instability. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens......
  17. The appointment of George Fraser as the New Chairman is now official Clicky Clicky
  18. I think a few people are guilty of stretching the truth or allowing assumptions to continue to suit their own needs. Orion were happy enough for people to think they were directly funding the Niculae deal because it gave them positive press and the club were happy because it meant they didn't have to fess up to the fact that the board had sold 12% of the club to fund the venture. Alan Savage seemed happy enough to walk away and cite "Business Reasons" for his departure, something I'm sure the club were glad of 2 weeks ago. However, when this caused questions over the arrangements for payment of Niculae the club raised the doubt over the ability to continue paying him, tried to pin blame on Mr Savage for his appointment and putting the club in that position...Mr Savage then, quite rightly IMO, has to move to protect his integrity. As is said in the Orion Statement, that was a Board decision. Many of the assumptions being cleared up by the statement were rife among this forum, and this site is the largest single means by which to get news to the fans. We also have a policy of publish statements in full an unedited which means there's no journalist spin and people don't have to read between the lines of the journalist before reading between the lines of the statement. So if you want to get your message/news out quickly to the fans without it being tampered with by journalists, where better to do it? It's not an "exclusive" service and anyone who has news or information relating to ICT is welcome to approach us...the club more than anyone. I suspect this years AGM will be one of the busiest in a long time.
  19. He's a professional footballer, he has not been affected so far, so i would imagine he will keep going as lomg as we pay his wages. OK, so because the club pay his wages they can treat him how they wish? Give me a break!!! Should read: Now Savage has left, how long will his legacy continue to cause unrest? I don't doubt for a second that Alan Savage has made mistakes during his time as Chairman, but as I've said elsewhere....it takes a majority agreement by the board to make these decisions. It would appear however that some people at the club are coated in Teflon and (once again) managing to fly under the Radar as the chit flies from the fan.
  20. Don't think it would be too hard to work it out Johnboy.....The guys probably just listened to the Interview with Sutherland which as good as says he's not wanted by the clubs largest shareholder because he's doing damage to the club. He'll still be expected to turn up for training and carry on regardless though!!! How many more people are ICT going to 5hit on this season?
  21. Your last line is almost carbon copy of something I have just said on the "Orion Statement" thread.
  22. Sutherland didn't like the Orion Groups statement today (no shock there) and the ?500k thing is simple scaremongering as he beats his chest....we've all done it. Looking at the time stamp on the Sportsound clip the interview must have taken place shortly after the statement went out on this site or immediately after North Tonight. As I said, Sutherland answered nothing and it was probably just a case of someone getting something out there in response.....perhaps not the wisest move, but we'd all be criticising the club for being slow to respond if the hadn't. I'd expect any reporting in tomorrows newspapers to be of a similar ilk, which means it will either be by way of the radio/news that we get anything more substantial from the club, or Fridays Newspapers. However, the offer remains open for the club to give their statement direct to this site where it will be printed in full without being tampered with by Journalists.
  23. This is the reason that this site produces statements in full and unedited......... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t..._ct/7364125.stm Amazing just how much an interview can be twisted by mixing in some selective quoting and a substantial amount of conjecture...and when what the person says doesn't read write....don't quote him and give your interpretation. It's enough of a mess without journalists trying to dramatise it any more :029:
  24. ICT's new motto should be "Shoot Yourself in the Foot"
