I forgot about the referee.....and that's a good sign :015: - Think that's probably one of the best referee performances we've seen at TCS this season. Let the game flow and kept control without the need to go waving cards at every man and his dog. Would have been easy for him to have book the boy where Wilson took the knock, but it was very much a 50/50 situation where both players had studs a little higher than they should have. Only thing I think he missed was the handball in the middle of the park where the Killie boy jumped with arms full stretch above his head and palmed it down....volleyball anyone

Has Niculae been worth it?
CMIB...It's more a case of the damage being done and there's no point now cutting off our noses to spite our face. He's here, he's doing a good job and we've gone through all the pain that has been (allegedly) caused by the wage scenario. Moving him on in the summer would change nothing in any of that, we (club, fans and players) just need to learn from it and move on.

Has Niculae been worth it?
I heard something today which would suggest that offloading Niculae in the summer might not actually save us all that much and that his weekly salary isn't a far out of line with other top earners at the club as we first thought. If what I heard is right then we should be offering him an extension this summer unless we're offered a sizeable transfer IMO.

Inverness wins
First off, apologies to the lads in the Innes for me going AWOL and landing up on here. Was skipping my round honest, and next time the first drinks are on me. The game started a bit slow and I thought it might turn out to be a drab 0-0 or 1-0/0-1 type affair as the teams tried to suss each other out....so much so that we were paying more attention to the twat of a steward trying to stare down the young lads in Section G than we were on the game and missed Imries goal :029: The game lifted from there though and we were doing what we do best, keeping the ball on the ground, passing it about and maintaining possession. Very hard to spot any weak links in the team today, and in fact, it was equally difficult to single out anyone for special praise as it was an all round top-notch performance by the whole squad. It was also a relief to see players all playing in the best positions. Fraser - Never had a lot to do, but was there and solid when needed. Very few (if any) stray kicks as well which was a bonus. Rossco - Once again showed just how effective he can be when he has Wilson in front of him, put in a tireless shift on the right and was solid in the challenge. Proctor - Players like Proctor aren't easy to find and although he may not start every week, having someone you can drop in to so many positions and be comfortable that they will do the job there is a luxury we're fortunate to have. His position was alongside Munro but whenever the opportunity presented itself he was forward adding numbers to the attack and quick to recover so as not to leave us exposed at the back. Munro - We always get the best from Munro when the guy alongside him is playing well and that happened again today. He was able to concentrate on his own game without having to worry about covering for others as he has been of late. Don't think he put a foot wrong the whole day. Hastings - I was getting frustrated at him a little as he seemed to be leaving too much space on the wing and drifting inside, but it was then pointed out to me that we had been doing the same on the other side of the park also so I think it must have been some kind of tactical decision. Again a solid performance and not a missed tackle in sight. Wilson - Had a fantastic game on the right and to have someone who is willing to run at defenders the way he does really lifts the team and instils a bit of fight into the squad. I've doubted his ability to last 90 minutes the last couple of seasons, but had it not been for the heavy knock he took today I think he might have done just that. Was good to see him back and I hope to see him for the rest of this season and next season also. Cowie - Had a quieter than normal game, but I think that's partly down to the fact that he's now settling in to the squad and doesn't feel the need to "show boat" to prove himself so concentrates on doing the simple things well. He was getting a foot on the ball and then distributing it consistently and accurately. McBain - Please, Please Please Brewster do not ever let McBain play out on the wing again. I've seen him play well at left back this season and fantastically in the middle of the park, but don't think he's had a good game on the left wing. The one part of his game that has always shown him up is his ability to vanish (and he's not too hot at crossing either) but stick him in the middle where he has nowhere to hide and he comes alive. He must have covered twice as much ground as any other man on the park today and it wasn't just chasing shadows. Some reports are giving the 2nd Goal as an (og), but without having seen a replay then I think McBain might have got a touch on it....and deserved it would be too. Imrie - Fed dangerous balls into the box time after time today and because of the way we were playing we had players there to get on the end of them and cause problems. He's pretty hot at taking the old corners as well and was delivering them with pace, something we've not done much of at all this season. The pace of his delivery caught us out a couple of times today when players were slow to get up and ended up heading over, but if we stick with him doing that then our players will soon get used to it and start reading them a bit better. Wyness - Some people reckon he didn't have the best of games today but I thought he did a fantastic job of holding up the ball and giving us time to get players forward. I would say he had a very different kind of game than we are used to seeing from him, but certainly not a poor performance. He did seem a little rusty with regards to his old twisting and turning, but hopefully if he gets a run of games to the end of the season that will come back. Wyness....don't be too quick to sign a pre-contract elsewhere as I think you are still very much needed here and will have a job to do next season, and I think your performance today did you no harm whatsoever. Niculae - What a goal...in fact, I'll go so far as to say it was World Class. Never had as many opportunities today as he might have had as he's still dropping too far back to pick things up in midfield, but if we can sort that out keep giving him chances like the one he scored from then he has a very bright future at ICT. As soon as he scored I knew he was coming over the wall to greet the fans at the front of the family section with the Romanian Flag....you could see it in his eyes. Ok, so it's wrong and he rightly got booked for it, but who gives a flying f**k, we've not had much to cheer about of late and sometimes it's good to see the players take one to show a bit of appreciation to the support. Subs - They never really got much of a chance to do anything, but the changes certainly didn't break up the flow of the game or look like weakening what was a solid 90 minute performance by the team. Wilson came off because he'd picked up a knock and the others were just killing time....and for once, I think we were right not to be have brought subs on sooner as nobody looked like they deserved to be replaced. I went to the game today with very little expectation. All I wanted to see was 90 minutes of entertaining football and the players playing with a bit of fight....that's exactly what we got and long may it continue.

"No rush to sign players up on new deals"
That's fine, if a player isn't performing or is past their best then they shouldn't expect to just walk into a new contract, but it's extremely amateur on the part of the Manager to say that he will be judging them on the last 5 games of the season when he has been working with them for so long.....what has Brewster been doing all season if not constantly judging his players and working out which ones are the best and which ones he wants to keep? We constantly hear how Brewster should be judged on the full season blah blah blah, yet here he is saying that the rules for him are different than the rules for everyone else....a "do as I say, not as I do" scenario. I think Wilson and Wyness deserve to be treated with a little more respect than that, especially when you consider the service they have given the club. If your going to let them go then at least do it with a little more dignity, and if there's a chance they will stay, then do so, but don't go to the press saying your basing your decision on 5 (almost) meaningless matches....that just makes you look like a fool, and in turn the club. As the saying goes...."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt"

Ticket Prices
Again it comes down to the fact that it's not "what" you do, it's "how" you go about it. The Club issue Season Tickets every year with a stack of additional vouchers tucked in at the end, as all they have to do is offer cheap admission for a friend/relative using a voucher. Results through the gates will be vastly similar to a blanket reduction as most people will know someone with a season ticket and it becomes a season ticket "perk" as opposed to it being viewed as removing value.

VIRGIN VIE - FUNDRAISING PARTY NIGHT
As promised.....your chance to inflict pain on a member of the Site Admin :029: As part of the fund raising efforts of the HM this year I have agreed, subject to the raising of lots of cash, to have a (near) full body wax. Here's how it works............. [attach=1] Left Arm = ?50 Right Arm = ?50 Left Leg = ?75 Right Leg = ?75 Back = ?200 Front = ?250 TARGET = ?700 You can donate/sponsor me for as little or as much as you like. How much gets waxed depends on how much is raised in total. Body Parts will be waxed in the order shown. e.g. ?500 raised will see me have both arms, both legs and my back waxed. I shall be in the Innes pre-match tomorrow and at the Hearts game next week and will have my Form with me. If you want to donate online then go to www.HighlandMarch.co.uk and use the button on the left, just remember to add an additional note saying that it is for the CaleyD Waxing. The time and location of the waxing is yet to be confirmed (blame Health and Safety), as soon as I know I'll let you know, but either way I will ensure there's photographic evidence.

Jam Tarts game
I shall be running a Minibus to this one from Inverness for anyone that wants to get down there good and early to...eh..."get in the spirit" before the match. It's a 15 Seater and the cost of the bus and fuel will be split equally among everyone, which means if we fill the minibus it should be about ?10 a head. Let me know via PM or e.mail [email protected]

"No rush to sign players up on new deals"
I read that article and the only thing that comes to my mind is......WTF has Brewster been up to since he came back as Manager if he is only now looking at what these guys can do with a view to keeping them? Wyness had already earned a new contract by all accounts and if we believe what we were told it was withdrawn because of a disagreement over some of the details....if the club were being consistent with their story then surely it is only a case of negotiating price with Wyness. Not to mention the total disrespect that an article like this conveys when your dealing with guys who have given a good few years of service to ICT.....if nothing else they do not deserve to be patronised with public statements of "you've got 5 games to prove yourself"....they've proved themselves through years of service at this Club, a **** site longer than you, Brewster, and if we're basing futures on runs of 5 games, what about the 7 losses in a row or 11 games without a feckin win under your stewardship....should you not be showing yourself the door based on numbers like that.

Ticket Prices
Whilst I agree that pricing is extortionate, it's not the same at all clubs by any means, certainly not when it comes to post-split fixtures. Hearts have reduced prices for next weeks game to ?12 for all and I am sure there's several other examples to be found at other clubs on the run in to the end of the season.

McGuire out.
I find it all rather confusing...as far as I am aware he wasn't suspended for the Gretna game, so how can he be "returning from suspension" It also said in the P&J yesterday he was suspended..... Source BBC don't have him listed on their Match Preview page either!!! In fact, the only place I can find anything saying he will play is our own official site, which you would hope would be correct, but you never know with us of late :015:

"No rush to sign players up on new deals"
When it comes to signing players ambition always has to be offset against affordability. Whilst I welcome the idea behind bringing in players such as Niculae we have to accept that this will, for a long time to come, be the exception as opposed to the rule. Keeping the club solvent should be viewed just as much as an ambition as the signings we target, the day we forget that we really are fooked.

McGuire out.
With Duncan also out I think we'll more than likely see Proctor filling his shoes with Watt coming in to get a chance at the back. The only alternative I can think of is moving Hastings inside :029: and playing McBain at Left Back :022: Black not listed as available for tomorrow is a bigger worry IMO, as the only real straight swap for him is Hart and as he's offskee then I think it's a waste of time playing him and would rather see one of the youngsters getting a decent run out.

Season Tickets
Hope you don't mind FanofFooty but I thought it might be an idea to add a poll to judge who feels like they will be renewing their ticket and who won't. I've left it open for people to change their vote as I suspect many will be feeling like events over the next few weeks could decide things for them one way or another.

Depressing
This forum is well read by people at all levels of the ICT infrastructure....no "inside knowledge" on that one, you just have to look at the number of times the site has been referenced and who has referenced it in the press during this season to realise that is the case. I suspect Beastie won't be alone in not attending any more games this season and for many if it wasn't for the fact they were season ticket holders then I doubt they'd bother either. Personally, I'll be there (when I can) but all I'm really looking for from the team is some entertainment and a bit of fight.....I want a reason to be able to cheer my team off the pitch, win or lose. As for wishing for the end of the season....I agree to a certain extent, but I am a little more apprehensive as to what the summer/next season will bring and wonder if we really do want to wish that any closer than it is. We've not been without our issues in the past, but I've always had a certain confidence that we had people at the club willing/able to get it sorted and allow us to move on. I don't have that same confidence at the moment and I don't think a new Chairman is going to prove to be the answer unless his immediate task is to remove a few others....which I can't see happening when certain people have so many "mates" on the Board covering their @ss for them. I've even lost faith in the Supporters Trust who constantly remain silent and seem more intent on organising wee jollies than rallying the fans to bring about necessary changes....we hear about these regular meetings they have with the club, but as yet we've seen very little if anything come out of them. Can't see the point in paying them ?10 not to be listened too when I can rant on here and not be listened to for free. I guess if I had to sum it all up then "disillusioned" would probably be how I feel about ICT and all things related at the moment. I may be down, but I won't be counted out. I just have to decide where I personally feel I want to go from here in terms of doing my bit.
