Very impressed by the manner in which they won the game too. They went out there with the attitude that if they were going to lose goals then they would have to score more and took the game to Aberdeen. Right up until the final whistle they never looked like they were panicking or letting the pressure get to them. A well deserved victory, and I hope we don't get the usual media p!sh whereby they attribute it to a poor display by Aberdeen.

New Home Shirt for next season I believe.

Bus prices in Inverness (and surrounding areas) are among the most expensive in the UK....FACT. Do you realise that when you pay to use a bus, that's actually the second time your paying? Your taxes are already used to pay the subsidies to the companies...StageCoach could run their buses for free and still turn a profit based on the subsidies they get.
  4. I think Black has been very lucky that he has a bit of talent or he would have been shipped out from the club a long time ago for some of his antics. I was one of the ones who thought he should have been heavily punished for his treatment of the shirt last year, to the point that it wouldn't have upset me if he had been shown the door. So, I'm certainly not trying to absolve Black of his responsibility, just making the point that it was perhaps unwise to risk leaving a first team player on the park and risk not having him available for selection. As it turns out the cards may not carry over to the SPL proper, in which case there's no issue with leaving him on the pitch.

A Chairman without the full support of the Board and the staff is on a hiding to nothing and IMO that's the situation Alan Savage found himself in at ICT. I don't for one second believe he was without his faults but he was constantly being undermined and had his hands tied on many things which he wanted to do. I'm a great believer that people should be allowed to succeed or fail by their own means and although I also think that he is/was the wrong type of Chairman for ICT right now, he never really had the opportunity to do things his own way. I haven't always agreed with things Alan Savage has said or done and as Chairman he must accept that the buck stops with him, however I am aware that much of the criticism lumped on him during his time here should have been directed elsewhere and that had it done been for one other person then certainly the relationship between club and fans would not have degenerated to the level it has. All being said, the bottom line is that the last couple of seasons have seen a lot of unrest and instability at ICT, something we've never had before and something which wasn't doing us any favours. Something was going to give and if it had been a straight choice between Alan Savage and someone else then it would have preferred that the other person be shown the door. I've been as critical as the next person about how things have been going, but I still thank Alan Savage for the time he's given to ICT. I now await, with more than a little apprehension, the appointment of our next Chairman.

I don't really care too much what team we put out for the final 5 fixtures so long as the players give 100% and we see some entertaining football. We have a couple of guys who have been told they need to earn new contracts and we have some who we need to get a look at properly to see if they are to be a part of next years squad so the sensible thing would be getting them some time out on the pitch.....so let's see some subs with 20+ minutes still on the clock to give them a chance. However, you have to balance that against the clubs desire to finish as far up the table as possible in order to increase revenue and an extra 60 or 70,000 per place could mean we can have one or two extra players in the squad for next season. Games against Kilmarnock are generally the most entertaining of the season with no shortage of goals and I would love to see us put out a squad where the intention is that if they score 2 then we'll score 3 (just like the Pele days) so I wouldn't be overly upset to see a 3-4-3(2-1) type formation - I'd rather lose 3-4 than 0-1 Rossco - Munro - McBain Cowie - Proctor - Black - Patti Imrie - Niculae Wyness Subs - 4 of the younger lads + Bayne and Wilson Above all else I want to see the team keeping the ball on the ground and playing football. Many people see the remaining fixtures as "meaningless" so if you want the crowds then you have to at least be entertaining.

If it was up to me I'd dig up the A9 at Perth and keep everyone out :001:
  8. 751 is what I thought I heard them say on the radio earlier.
  9. By all accounts it was 2 very soft yellow cards.....and I have to say that if this leads to him missing games for the first team then it's the fault of whoever was managing the reserves and left him on the park after he received the first yellow. To do so with any player who is part of the first team squad is a pointless and stupid risk to be taking.
  10. Not sure about the idea of Brewster with pigtails!!!
  11. Meaowwwww :015:
  12. Are you part of the coaching staff at ICT and as such have been watching him during his last couple of days, or are your observations based on Scotch Mist?
  13. CaleyD replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
I strongly disagree. The realists know that with ICT's recent history of such things that anything is possible and that Brew staying or going is far from certain.
  14. I think that's probably about as good as we could have asked for to be honest. If I could have picked 2 away days it would have been Hearts and Falkirk. Gretna at home avoids the possible embarrassment of another 3-figure crowd. No Long journey to Killie. St Mirrens a chit hole.
  15. 19th April - Home - Killie 26th April - Away - Hearts 3rd May - Home - Gretna 10th May - Away - Falkirk 17th May - Home - St Mirren Feel free to correct me if I heard wrong

Robbo in the dugout on matchday and taking care of team tactics. Brewster in charge of health and fitness. Pele as Sports Psychologist and #2 in the dugout. :001:

I got to about the third line and then a migraine kicked in :029: One thing I gather from this thread is that the site users seem more evenly split on the prospect of a Robbo return as opposed to the feelings that were going round when Brewster was tipped to return. It's never boring being an ICT Fan.

History speaks for itself. The rumours of Brewsters return appeared weeks before CC stepped down and they received the same initial response that it was all BS from people who thought they were "in the know". The "rumours" regarding Robbo carry far more weight when you consider that he is currently being employed by Orion as a "Development Consultant" or something along those lines. This information has been doing the rounds for a while now and the club have yet to make a statement on it one way or the other. You can argue that it has nothing to do with us, but such rumours can be unsettling and if there's nothing in them then what's the harm in the club making a statement to that effect....in fact it would do far more good to end the rumours or to have made comment/statement at the outset to prevent them. Sometimes you can learn a lot more from what's not said than from what is said. Here's another "rumour" that I posted a couple of weeks back when news of Robbo being employed by Orion broke..... Grassa to go to Clach as the new Chairman and Robbo to come in to ICT as Director of Football. If i'm right then I think it is a far more positive development than Robbo coming back in as Manager.

  20. :024: - Funnily enough we seemed to be having the same conversation around about this time last year with regards getting in a commanding Centre Back. I wonder if we'll have this conversation again next April?
  21. I've never watched an ICT training session where at least two people have failed to fall out over something :015: Even if I give you Keogh as a Bust up, that's still only one. I don't think Rankin had any bust up with Christie, he just failed to see what he had to do to get back into the first team.
  22. Johnboy, I don't think we have a desperate need for wholesale changes in the players, but it looks like that's exactly what Brewster and Co are gearing up for. I'm a great believer in the saying "if it's not broken, then don't fix it"...however it seems that those pulling the strings at ICT disagree. What went so terribly wrong with the squad of players we had last season that justifies not only the changes we have seen to date this season, but those which are almost certain to happen in the summer. You can argue that it is what is needed to move the team forward...only time will tell if that's the case. I think to cast aside the values which have served us well for 13 years, kept us progressing steadily and got us where we are is a mighty dangerous game to be playing. It takes just one season to undo 13 years of work, and it'll take a helluva lot longer to put it right again if it doesn't pay off.
  23. What bust up did he have with Keogh other than letting him go because he spent more time on the treatment table than he did on the pitch?
  24. CaleyD replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Believe it or not, but CC was far more into the "Sports Science" side of player development than any other Manager/Head Coach we have ever had and was working alongside one of the top researchers on the subject during his time in charge. From what I understand most players had very individualised programmes. I could be wrong, but this seems to be in stark contrast to a more "one size fits all" training regime which is used by Brewster, and which wasn't liked by a lot of the players during his first stint in charge.
  25. I'd Move McBain to Left Back, he played there earlier in the season and I thought he did a terrific job - the position played to his strengths and was more forgiving of his weaknesses.
