  1. Some people are in danger of crossing the line between opinion and defamation of character. Please bare in mind that just because you post something "anonymously" on a forum does not mean you are above the law should someone pursue action for what you say against/about them.
  2. I thought Brewster did his UEFA "A" Coaching Award recently....unless he failed it???
  3. There's one small part of Brewsters comments that really irks me and that is - "There was no fall-out but" That one part of the comment alone reeks of the type of arrogance where people in a position of authority will not listen to what others have to say and make comments like "There's no argument, what I say goes, end off" To suggest there's been no fall-out is just laughable. If there's been no fall-out then I can only assume that Brewster is happy not to have Black training with the first team and that Black is happy to be training with the U19's and that would be an even more worrying situation.
  4. This situation explains all the missed calls on my phone last night :015: Juanjo took a while to find his feet and get used to the game when he signed for us, but when he did he definitely added to the team. After his injury I never thought he recaptured his previous form and believed the club to be right when they decided to move him on. As has been said, his primary reasons for being here may not be the trial, but if he's a free agent, likes the area and is keen to move back then it does no harm for either him or the club to see him come in for a trial to see whether or not he's back to the player he was pre-injury. Trying not to get ahead of myself, but we have few players who are willing/able to run at defenders that are "in favour" just now. Wilson, who may be on his last season. Hart who is away at the end of the season. Wyness who nobody knows wtf is going on. IMO a player of Juanjo's style would be a welcome addition to the squad, so for that reason I hope he is up to scratch and it all works out.
  5. No mention of Woods? He's being doing well whilst out on his loan spell (although I think he had or was waiting surgery for something) and thought we might have heard noises about him being signed up for longer.

No, it's a mash up I did a while back. One of these days I'll get round to putting up all my doctored/funny pics in one place. In the meantime here's one I did when Brew joined Dundee Utd which would seem quite relevant now also [attach=1]
  7. What player in their right mind would want to sign for a team with a manager who asks for a players opinion and then punishes them for giving it? Never mind replacements for Black, we'll be struggling to sign ANYONE in the summer if this is not sorted, or indeed if Brewster is still in charge. The situation with Black is not an isolated incident. It appears than any player with an opinion or who has the respect of the other players and perhaps a bit of influence is being slowly motioned towards the door. **NEWSFLASH FOR BREWSTER** - Being a manager does not automatically mean you always get it right, and if so many people are telling you your getting it wrong then they might just have a point!!! It's how you handle these situations that shows you for the person you really are, and if you can't hack criticism then your in the wrong job. I don't believe for one second that Blacks statement came out of the blue, and I don't believe he is the only player who feels like this right now. These situations don't just develop overnight, and regardless of your opinion on what Black said, the very fact it was allowed to get as far as it has speaks more for the inadequacies of the manger than it does foe the discipline of Black. We can get rid of Black, but it will only be a matter of time before we're right back in the same position again with another player IMO. I've been swaying on the subject of "Brew must Go", but the more I hear the more I think it's for the best for the team and club. Changes are also needed elsewhere, but the relationship between manager and players is having the largest detrimental effect right now and the sooner it is halted the better.

  9. That's certainly what we're all suppose to believe :023: Do tell. If I had solid proof to back up what I know then I would say more. For now you'll just have to treat it as another one of those "people who think they are in the know" type comments.
  10. That's code for "don't hold your breath"

It's time to call a day on Gretna I'm afraid and I'm of the opinion that they should not have received a penny from the SPL nor get a penny more. Payments from the SPL should be subject to them completing the season and to be shelling out money to them in this manner is ridiculous. They are now talking about paying them a ?250,000 parachute payment in advance, money which would normally be paid to the relegated team. In order to be relegated then a club needs to finish the season. and as that cannot be guaranteed in Gretna's situation then they should not get a single penny of that until they take up their/a place in Div 1. I've defended Gretna in several matters on this forum in the past, but there's no way I would defend them in this.

  13. I heard tonight that he will be training with the U19's until he sees fit to apologise to Brewster...and that there's more chance of **** freezing over than the apology being forthcoming. It would seem that the "clear the air talks" have turned into a battle of principles with neither side showing any willingness to back down. As I've said before on this forum, I'm all for discipling players if they step out of line, but this situation between Brewster and Black (and a few other players) seems to be in danger of getting totally out of hand. If a player is disrupting the team and they won't take a telling then they have to go...however, I fail to accept that so many players would be falling out with the manager and that the fault doesn't lie with him. Never before have we had so many rumours about so many players being unhappy and having run ins with the manager.

Definitely agree with you there. Give Malkowski a run out on Saturday. Mikey looks like he's lackng a good deal of confidence in recent matches. Nothing wrong with Fraser that wouldn't be helped by him not going out on the town the night before we had matches.
  15. If you want to use your "in the street" analogy then the crowd that were inciting the individual by shouting abuse at him which provoked him to run up in an aggressive manner would all have been lifted for Breach of the Peace also. If your suggesting that the police would have been within their rights to arrest Duncan then they should also have arrested the vast majority of the Aberdeen Support. In fact, the Police should be investigated for their negligence at nearly every match for allowing any set of fans to shout anything towards any player, team or opposition fans.....perhaps it would be better if you just took a step back into the real world don't you think?
  16. What a lot of twaddle - if that were the case then arrests on Friday and Saturday nights would number into the hundreds in Inverness alone. "Hey Mr Policeman....that bloke looked at me funny, I think you should arrest him" And what about all those fans that punch the air in celebration....should they all be arrested too? Give me a break!!!
  17. Just spotted this on their FAQ
  18. I'm getting "not available in your territory" message also. About to send them an E.Mail.

I had to laugh when I saw that the club were introducing yet another Mascot. I spent a lot of time investigating the subject of the club mascot on their behalf back in 2004. I spoke to fans, I asked opinions on here, spoke to people at the club both on the footballing and commercial side to see how the mascot was to be used....matchdays, at childrens parties at the stadium, going out to schools, high street leaflet drops etc etc. During my investigation it became apparent that neither the club or the fans wanted a "Nessie" (or one of several other ideas) as they wanted something which had a little more thought put into it that would give the club a bit of it's own identity. At that time the club had been offered a free Nessie costume by the Exhibition Centre (those who have provided this one) but they had rejected it because they felt that all that others had ever been looking for was free advertising for them..... Angus The Stag (Highland News) Caley Croc (Aquadome) Fox (Foxes Pub) My work had narrowed down the most suitable Mascots as either a Dolphin, in connection to the Moray Firth, or a styled/characterised Highlander figure. I approached several companies to get quotes and had prepared a presentation which I was die to give to the club and the BoD. I had also been asked if I would be interested in taking on the roll of the person to wear the suit which I had agreed to do. So you can imagine the surprise I got when I woke up one morning to find that the club had launched a competition via the local schools for them to design a mascot which was to be paid for by the SPL Sponsors....I had put in weeks of work on the mascot and all the time they had been coming up with another plan themselves and nobody had thought to tell me and they just let me continue wasting my time....not to mention the money I had spent (out of my own pocket) on putting together a proper presentation with large printed graphics etc. I never even got so much as a proper apology. We're now on to our 5th Mascot....and to date every one of them has been nothing but the club allowing themselves to be used by others as a means for getting some free/cheap advertising and, IMO, we still don't have something the fans can identify with as being representative of the club/team. The choice of mascot and the way in which yet another fan has been treated poorly is just indicative of the clubs attitude towards us and the half a55ed manner in which they do things. I've lost count of the number of times the club have p!ssed on me, yet it's my club and I was passionate about doing what I could to help so kept going back for more for long enough. There's only so many times you can let someone treat you like an idiot before you lose all respect.
  20. Caley...if you believe that winding up the opposition fans is such a heinous crime then would it be right for me to assume that you believe all players should be booked and arrested for scoring goals....surely nothing winds up the opponents more than that?
  21. Old News........ http://www.caleythistleonline.com/communit...hp?topic=6281.0
  22. I believe a player can be carded for their actions up until they get back to the changing room and it was reported that it was for something he said as he was leaving the pitch....can't imagine what kind of verbal offence could have justified a straight red though.
