  1. I think Black made up for Rossco's missing physical presence today....lol. A couple of Proctors "mistakes" came about when he was chasing to cover other players who found themselves out of position....something you rarely see Rossco doing....probably because he's the one most often out of position. With the setup as it was the last 2 games we don't need to be relying so much on our backs pushing forward so often, and in fact, I think we are showing up as a stronger unit when we choose to pass the ball out of these positions instead of trying to run it out all the time (or hoof it up the pitch). Perhaps under the 4-4-2 then Rossco may have pluses to go on, but in a 4-5-1 he has nothing to offer that Proctor has not shown he is capable of doing just as well.
  2. I totally agree and think Proctor has done enough to make the place his for now. The ball is back in Rossco's court to keep pushing himself in order to dislodge the lad.
  3. It's the small minded Highland mentality at work yet again :tic01:
  4. These are the only problems any manager wants to have, and long may they continue as strong competition for places will keep everyone giving 100%

IHE is a poor misunderstood wee soul....when everyone thought he was berating the guy, it was all reverse psychology and he's actually his #1 fan. I actually thought that we may have got it wrong today by starting with the same team at home and I feared we would lack any penetration at the front. I wouldn't say Niculae played poorly, but he did play differently. On occasion he has been criticised for making the wrong decision when going forward (passing instead of shooting and vice versa) and I think that by removing that choice it has allowed him to become more focused on the task at hand....allowing him to become a little more selfish for want of a better analogy. I said after last weeks game that I didn't think he could operate as a lone striker...but in a setup where he is well supported from the Midfield then I may find myself having to eat my words if he continues to play the roll as he has done the last couple of games.....it shouldn't work, but it seems to be and I ain't going to complain. The only question that will arise in the near future is...How the feck do you fit Wyness back in to the setup???
  6. BBC Match Report I thought this stuff was written by people who might actually have some clue as to what's going on in the game!!!! And when you read the rest you wonder if this person was actually at the game with their talk of a "poor first half". Wonder if the BBC highlights of this one will be any the less biased towards Hibs than the ones from our trip to Easter Road :014:
  7. If Niculae is reading this - you can now claim to have the body of a God and a Goal Scoring Machine :015: (Private Joke)
  8. Performance reminiscent of the one at Easter Rd, but this time we are getting our rewards. Need to dig in now and hold ball more and ensure we make no mistakes.

I agree that a need for extra transport back to town after the matches exists. It may be worth you contacting the club to raise your point and pass on the suggestion.

Gordy, I think it is a case of "Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it" I believe the club received complaints of a two kinds... 1. Away fans causing problems on the bus 2. People who had got the bus out from town not being able to get it back as others were using it for the return only. Fans insisted they put a system in place to prevent this problem and they have done so. The club will never be able to cater the individual needs of everyone, but in terms of running a safe and manageable service I think they have got this one spot on. It may be possible for the club/Rapsons to tweak the system slightly so as to allow any unused seats to be filled on the return journey, but you would need to contact the club direct to speak to them about that.
  11. come on....Come On......COME ON......COME ONNNN!!!! That's about the only thing he said that I understood :015:
  12. There's always someone who tries to turn everything in to an episode of Hollyoaks :023:
  13. You missed the bit about him returning with backup in what looked to be an attempt to eject the youngsters and had it not been for the not so young gents sitting behind leaving him in no doubt about where he should go then that may have very well been the case. We've had a few issues with the Stewards there over the past few seasons, but this was the largest act of f*ckwittery I have seen in...well...ever. Even the Police were standing shaking their heads in disbelief. Fans are ejected from stadia all around the country every weekend for doing things which could incite trouble....yet here we had one of those charged with looking after our safety acting in a manner which, if he had followed through on the ejection, would have without a doubt caused total mayhem. In fact, I would say that everyone was fortunate that the ICT crowd are a largely placid lot as many other supports would have turned it in to more of a physical than verbal assault on the steward in question. And just to clear it up...we were talking about one of these plastic horns you blow in to...not an airhorn or any such item.

The way I see it, anyone who has not been commanding a regular start since Brewster returned is a candidate for the off in January....that will possibly include some of the younger guys as these were choices made by previous managers and Brewster may have his eye on other young guys who would rather bring through and give a chance. In the past we have been used to the idea that new managers have inherited the previous managers team and only made minor alterations. I believe we are witnessing the next stage in team development where Brewster is very much of a mind to make this team his, to firmly stamp his mark on it and shake off the ghosts of managers who have come before him. I share the reservations of others in regards to some of the rumours going around about which players may be leaving, however Brewster is the Manager and he has to be given the opportunity to rise or fall by his own choices and decisions.
  15. I said elsewhere that Proctor reminded me of a young Rossco and I think he can do everything Rossco does and does it well. Rossco brought about his own suspension and Proctor has stepped up, shown he is worth of the place and it would be tough on the lad to drop him immediately upon Rosscos return. Brewster himself has said that he wants players competing for places and to hook Proctor for no reason when Rossco becomes available again would, IMO, undermine that concept. If Rossco wants his place back then he's going to have to work hard for it and hope that Proctor does something to justify being dropped again.
  16. I only made the second half of the Rangers game earlier in the season and although I have a season ticket I walked straight in without anyone even looking at me twice. Can't see you having any problems.
  17. Boo our own Keeper for a few bad kicks and stand and applaud the opposition keeper....I think the world's going mad :crazy07:

It's the pantomime that gets thrown up with even the most simple of things that causes all the problems. All they needed to say to the Press at the weekend was that they weren't in a position to give any details....end of story. I'd rather be told nothing at all than be fed half truths and fairytales. Perhaps if they credited the fans with a little more intelligence then we wouldn't get these issues arising time and again. Just like Brewsters appointment...it was so obvious who was going to be appointed...but the club still felt the need to try and make everyone believe that it was going to be something that it wasn't....do they really think anyone fell for their attempt at smoke and mirrors. It's one thing to have the fans of other clubs laughing at making jokes....but when you become the laughing stock of your own fans then it's time for a reality check.

As opposed to getting rid of him because of a rumoured afflair :dunno:

The manner in which they went about appointing Brewster played a large part in a lot of the negative comments that were directed towards him, IMO, and detracted from the positives aspects of his appointment.....you think lessons would be learned from that, but oh no, they go and do the exact same all over again, and to top it all off they issue an excuse of a press release which you would only believe if you were the kind of person who had a zip running up your back.
  21. Gringo Jnr is one of the longest contributing members of CaleyThistleOnline.com and it has taken him since 1994 to finally hook himself a woman...we suggested he might have had better success with the dating sites, but his patience has paid off and I believe "First Contact" was made with CCC on this very forum.

Official Statement from Club Just goes to show how wrong everyone can be when Grassa tells us that the deal was not finalised until today. :tic01: That was a helluva risk Malky took in leaving Chester and traveling north when he didn't even know if he was going to have the job.....balls of steel, and just the kind of confidence we need emanating from our coaching staff. :tic01: Anyone have any useful tips on how to remove the word idiot from ones forehead? :029:
  23. ........to CuteCaleyChick and Gringo Jnr. The eejits only gone and proposed to someone daft enough to accept :029: I jest....and would like to be the first on here to wish them all the best for the future. :021:
  24. Not a rumour and has already been confirmed by the club.
