Why not go the whole hog and just loan him out to Gretna :029:
  2. Define "not good enough" in comparison to some of our defensive displays this season :024:
  3. You know it's bad when you can't even predict the scorer after the match
  4. Or could Brewster make a remarkable recovery? :024:

Don't think that I've every viewed paying to see ICT was a "Waste of Money" - even following the most miserable of games. Think prices are high and things could be done to make the game more affordable for more people, but that's a different argument IMO.
  6. A ball cleared off the line and unlucky that ref was unsighted for penalty claim.....I wasn't feeling too positive about this game, but despite being a goal down the stage has been set for a big upset and I think we're more than capable of pulling this one back.
  7. Being wound up (or whatever) may have been the reason, but it is certainly no excuse for lifting his hand to the guy.
  8. Yellow!!!!!
  9. Good point about "Turbo Tokely" - He may be big and awkward looking but that was a fair shift he had on him to catch McGarry so quickly.
  10. Your not missing much from the highlights to be honest. You see Rossco move in for the kill, but you only have a couple of frames after that to ascertain the extent of the contact made and whether McGarry made the most of it by going to ground. As their was only one camera at the game and the filming was worse than some of the crepe we used to get served up in our Div 1 days then no chance of anything clearer. Opinion seems pretty split about just how bad it was, but I don't think I've heard anyone yet say that the punishment was not merited.

Perhaps so, but if I was a manager under close scrutiny and not churning out results then I'd be looking to give the fans some positive news other than adding another negative by saying that I've not even looked at what could turn out to be one of the most important transfer windows we've faced in a long time. Another example of how naive ICT and it's employee's are when it comes to PR I guess, and by now it shouldn't come as a surprise.

It was a direct quote from Brewster himself during an interview with a P&J Journalist, so if it is BS, and I would hope it is, then he is the one doing the BSing.
  14. Bambi's only in it for the doe!!!
  15. Don't knock the big hair, it's all the rage................. [img width=500 height=332]http://www.caleythistleonline.com/gallery/albums/upload/match_pics/2007_08/20071031_abdn_pp/normal_20071031_abdn_pp_005.jpg
  16. My fears remain, however they may not have panned out quite as I had seen it back then I do not believe that any problem exists between Niculae and any of the other players, and by all accounts they all get on pretty well. If any tensions exist as a result of wages then it is between players and the club, IMO.
  17. It's true I tell ya. He's marrying the local stable boy.
  18. Paul Lambert is far too busy preparing his gay wedding to be worried about coming to manage ICT :rolleyes02:
  19. A very good point troublegum, when Christie resigned and Brewster was tipped as the favourite for the job over 85% of those who voted on the site poll didn't view Brewster as "The right man for the job". A better approach to the subject might be, "Who has changed their mind?" and "Have you moved from the Yes to No camp or vice versa?" Opinion seemed to be slightly swayed at the thought of "Brewster the Player" may bring more than "Brewster the Manager" As has been noted, his impact on arrival seemed to be immediately positive. Some have put this down to "Brewster the player" but he has only played 151 minutes of football for ICT since his return...hardly a valid "sample" with which to judge his impact on the park. I don't actually think we have played particularly poorly in most of our games since his return, it seems to be the inability to change the tactics/formation as needed that is letting us down. Aberdeen in the cup was a dire result, but over the 90 minutes we played some decent football, the same with the result away to Rangers. OK, Motherwell was an absolute disaster from start to finish, but that's only one game. I wasn't for bringing Brewster back, but I think we have to stay off his back just a little longer to give him a chance to rise or fall by his own hand. Be that sorting out tactics or dealing with whatever else is going on behind the scenes that might be having an influence I don't know....but as I said already...for me the jury is still out.

  21. Why do these discussions always have to diminish into petty bickering and points scoring???
  22. Big Oaks from Little Acorns grow!!!! When you consider that they have 20,000 people paying ?35/year to be members of the trust that are buying the 51% share, than that's an annual income of ?700k over and above whatever the club itself may be able to generate....A pretty healthy income stream for a club of that size. Add on to that the fact that they now have an extra 20,000 people with a vested interest in the success of the club and your sure to get a few more through the gates each week, a few more shirts sold, a few more scarves etc etc. I shall be watching on with interest.
  23. My biggest worry when Brewster was appointed was whether or not he had the experience and strength of character to get the lads clicking again. The answer to that early on seemed to be a resounding yes, but aside from the Gretna match these last few games have me wondering whether the improved performances early on were simply a player reaction to a new manager and wanting to impress and were not creditable to Brewsters ability as a manager. I don't buy into all this "It's not his team" carry on either, apart from Pele we've never had a manager who could say "this is a team of their making"...the simple fact is, that a good manager gets the best from the players he has and other than a couple of replacements which would happen under any manager in the Transfer window, it will be a longgg time before Brewster could say this was his team. For me, the jury is out at present.
