  1. That's lucky, when I say the title of the thread I thought something bad had happened to him! Anyway, if you want my own view on the matter for tomorrow, then I don't think Ross should start the game..........which'll mean he probably will.
  2. I agree, if ICT win tomorrow then they'll win. But, who knows, anything can happen in life.
  3. I see ICT can still be relegated!
  4. HT - Ross County 1-0 ICT FT - Ross County 2-2 ICT Ross County 1st scorer - Gardyne ICT 1st scorer - Rooney Attendance - 6,153
  5. I reckon it wouldn't matter a jot if this legal stuff was banned, they'd still take it anyway.
  6. I personally switch between a wide 4-3-3 and an attack minded 4-4-2/4-2-4, which is 4-4-2 with wingers and wing backs. Sometimes I go 5-3-2 but only against bigger teams. I don't think I've ever gone with one up front. I managed to get ICT into the SPL, and am now being head hunted by Marsailles, Real Madrid, and a whole bunch of Mexican teams.
  7. That's a good point. And to be honest, I think this may not be the game to try it out. On the other hand though, there were a few moments on Monday night when he joined the front line. He certainly looks like a better striker than defender, and his overhead kick was superb (just a shame it went just wide). If he were to be played in the centre, just behind the striker(s), where he could attack, whilst using his pace and be out of harms way at the back (where he can be a liability) then I think he would be a very dangerous player.
  8. Aye, I felt they were somewhat less important.
  9. Who do you think is the most important player in the ICT squad? For me Hayes. If he wasn't a regular in the ICT squad, ICT wouldn't be anywhere near the top 4, let alone challenging for the league title.
  10. Ah well that's okay then, not rating a player is one thing, but wanting him to fail (a philosophy that seems to be true in a few posters) is another. On the other bit, it's not just Tokely and Lionel that can't pass, it's about three quarters of the team!
  11. :) This coming from the poster who goes on and on about how amazing Butcher is? A bit boring and tedious is it not?
  12. . for example your favourite for the job Robbo, apart from what he achieved with ICT he has done poorly at Hearts, C*unty and Livi... does that make him a bad manager?? Maybe you should go back and check who my favourite candidate was at the time. Can't be ersed.. Well it wasn't Robbo, it was Butcher.
  13. Why is it with Lionel that some people are just desperate for him to fail? You can just imagine what's going on in these people's heads - Go on Lionel, fail Fail so I can gloat at everyone {Lionel has the ball at his feet} Go on Lionel, mess it up! {Lionel complete's pass} Oh no, he got it right! Maybe next time.... {Lionel, who's been playing well, makes one bad pass and the opposition score} Lionel messed it up! Look at me! Look at me! Look at me! I was right! What a bombscare! What a terrible game! Get him off! I was right! I was right! Yet these same people (like hypothetical dimwit above) seem to treat Ross Tokely as some sort of God, when most of the time, he ain't much better.
  14. . for example your favourite for the job Robbo, apart from what he achieved with ICT he has done poorly at Hearts, C*unty and Livi... does that make him a bad manager?? Maybe you should go back and check who my favourite candidate was at the time.
  15. So that's where Angus the Stag went!
  16. I don't care what he did elsewhere, I'd rather go on the fact that he has one of, if not, the best win percentage since Pele. You're argument about the league doesn't stand up... you manage the team you have, in the league they're in he can't do anything else but try and get the wins. No other teams will touch him because he's our manager... are you actually comparing to Butcher to Sir Alex Ferguson here? Have you asked yourself why a manager with decent calibre would come anywhere near ICT?? I'm not for a second suggesting he's the answer to all our problems but he is what we have and he's obviously doing all he can for ICT and at the moment a lot of what he's doing is working. I don't buy into the "we live in a blame culture" boll0x but after reading your last sentence I see what they mean. You have no idea what went on behind the scenes or what influenced Butcher's decisions at that time... it was his decision to make and he was obviously doing what he thought was neccesary to keep us in the division. If Tokely doesn't get caught on the wrong side of Higdon (?) then you would be kissing the ground he walked on for it being a piece of genius. We were relegated and he was incharge at the time but to say that it was his fault when we were in such a dire hole before he arrived is well off the mark I get some of your points, just the thing is, I just don't rate the guy. I'm not the only feels that way (despite what you'd read off this forum), I feel that he doesn't play good football, seems a bit tactically naive and if he thinks Stratford is better than Vigurs, then there's something not right there. The point you make about him "not being touched because he's ICT manager" I think is an interesting one. What is a man of that footballing calibre doing here? To me that says quite a bit about his ability. You say you don't care how well he did elsewhere, but if you don't learn from the past then you're bound to repeat it and some of the traits he displayed here are almost identical to what he has done elsewhere. It might not seem like it just now, but I won't be surprised if it ends in a similar manner as well.
  17. After watching last nights game, I'm gonna change mine about a bit. It's time to win the league in style, bring back attack! Esson Tokely Bulvitis Munro Golabek Cox Duncan Djebi-Zadi Odhiambo Rooney Hayes Subs - Allison, Proctor, McBain, Ross, Eagle
  18. I was surprised and disappointed with the attendance at this highly prestigious Cup Final. Couldn't have been any more than around 350. I reckon it was more like 200.
  19. For me - County Not because I love them in any fashion, just because I don't want to see teams (like Dundee) buy the title, County have played good football this season, and most of all, if County were to be promoted, I doubt ICT would like to be seen as the "little" team in the Highlands, and could give the club a boot up the backside and make the team strive even harder to be successful.
  20. Wow, there's nothing like the 4-2-4-1 formation is there!
  21. Aye I think it was, he was that ginger haired bloke.
  22. Was that boy Smith for ICT the number 3? I thought he had quite a good game.
  23. Two draws would be the best results for Dundee.
  24. I was there and it was an all right game. ICT had to resort to long balls for parts, but only because the pitch was in such a bad condition. I remember a one point, Bulvitis passed the ball to the right and it bobbled about for about a yard and then pinged in the air! And it wasn't just that, the pitch seemed to make a strange crunchy sound at times too. Of the team, Nick Ross played well and looked tricky and speedy on the wing, Stratford was good, Bully was solid, Lionel was good, as was Eagle. Sanchez I though had a good first half and seemed quite comfortable on the ball. Did anyone else notice that the entire Clach team (who actually weren't that bad) looked about S4 age and looked about 5"7 or below, except the number 11 and their big second half goalie. The best moment - Lionel Djebi-Zadi came so close to scoring an amazing goal. What an overhead kick, but sadly it went wide.
