Folk just seem to think that OFW should happily tear up his quite lucrative contract with us and go off to any old team for buttons. Get real. as much as he will probably want to play football he also needs to make sure he gets an appropriate contract for doing so. Clearly none of the offers on the table so far have come close to what he earns at ICT so why should be move? As above, if you were being told by your employer that they didn't want you any more and they said you should leave but weren't willing to pay you off would you move to any old job for 25% of your current salary just to be able to do some work?
It's funny. When a player is offered more wages and leaves the club, 'it's a good deal for his family'. When a player gets probably as good a deal as he can get the same people will complain that 'he should leave to play football'. Funny old world.

That's the second Premiership team I've seen us play this season and the second time we've made a good account of ourselves. Calder again had a good game, while Doran looks like he's never been away. There are a few things to work on though -
- Vigurs often takes three or four touches when he only needs one or two. Now I can understand why he does it (to create space), but sometimes it's better just to keep the ball flowing and he doesn't get the time he gets in the Championship.
- Brad Mckay defensively is good, but his crossing? Good Lord.
- John Baird couldn't finish a hot dog.

The Brechin Four should return to games in a disguise!

Speculating on players wages is crass and low-class. Players wages are no ones business but their own and regurgitating "what you've heard," is just stupid. Unless of course you lead by example and post your salary?

We got Coll Donaldson to commit to a 2 and a half year deal. No reason why someone like Bell couldn't do similar.
I doubt Bell is on megabucks either. I've seen it suggested somewhere that Austin is on £800 p/w. You'd imagine Bell is probably on about 500ish.

Average Joe did well today and has been much improved recently, but MOTM over Vigurs, Calder and Donaldson? Steady on.

I see he's joined Accrington Stanley until the end of the season. Also, I don't know if it's archive footage or not but I'm sure I spotted Nick Ross training with the team during the STV News there.

To be honest, you're unlikely to get a reply on here. This section of the website is a ghost town these days.

I hope not he was absolutely rotten for Falkirk against us earlier this season. I know that's just one game but he's prone to brain farts and making crucial mistakes. We'd be as well re-signing Devine.
We won't be signing him then as he's gone to Torquay. Have to admit, I always thought he was decent at Partick and apparently did well with Ayr. Form must've plummeted with Falkirk though.

I knew in general that North Standers and away gamers were tougher than the Tory voting, cruise ship holidayers in the Main Stand but my my my this thread has opened my eyes to a breed of snowflaking pansies that until now, I had no idea existed.

It's a very real concern for any parent, no need to be an Ahole about it.
I’m sure little Prudence and little Rupert will be fine and make it to their next croquet lesson unscathed.
Also for what it’s worth, I’m not a ‘fat, old lad’. Rather a young, slim, handsome lad. ?

Its about the potential for violence and given there are young children in there too, it is not an acceptable situation. You may be an old, fat lad with nothing to be concerned about but what about the mother with two kids?
Won’t somebody plleeaassee think of the children?!

Seedorf played at centre back against Ross County and looked absolutely mince.

Wonder if we'll see Conrad Balatoni in to replace him. He is the type of player Robbo seems to be going for and he was apparently very good at Ayr.

That man’s a total amateur compared to the way Rene was turned out at Paisley yesterday
Now there's no need to be jealous because the women in the pie stall complimented me and not you!

He's from Tranent I believe. So much for still being good enough for any club in Britain outside the top flight in England and not signing for Salford City as he felt they were too small for him...
-
I thought Baird tried hard but looked mince yesterday as a winger. In the middle of the park though where he's central in the action and he may become more useful.
-
I have a slightly unusual idea but hear me out - could Baird be re-born as a central midfielder? When Butcher was the manager, as Foran slowed down, he moved him from being a winger/striker to being more of a ball winning midfielder. Could we do something similar with Baird albeit with a more creative role?
Now I know some people won't hear a good word said about him, but he is fairly mobile, a decent passer of the ball and links up well with his teammates. It's more going forward he's lacking. Would he be better utisiled in the centre of the park? I think he could be.
