  1. Sophia actually turned up on P&B recently, here's her reaction to the Rangers game:

    I agree with RiG.

Have to look on the bright side though, at least Proctor never sold all three goals (Fir Park) by not bothering to get close to his man.

How others can call for The Emperor Rosko to be replaced by him is beyond me.

It pains me to say it, but Pressley for Proctor would seem to be sensible at this juncture.

All it took today was the loss of a goal to render Thistle completely shapeless and beaten.

I note Barry Wilson made an ostentatious entrance five minutes into the game and took his place amongst the home fans in the North Stand.

    Mmm.

And here's her reaction to Black going to Hearts, yet again in that bizarre style:

Another ineffectual effort saw WeeIan pulled off by Brewster.

Brings to mind a dolly chuck (did he storm out of the stadium?) incident when a poster on an ICT website pleaded for special allowances for special players. George Best was cited.

    Good old "gillian black"!

Now, George Best was one of the finest players ever, WeeIan is not even the best midfielder ever to play for Thistle!

The only allowance I would make is extra shooting practice, his efforts today were down to his usual standard.

God, I hope she doesn't make a return here. Her long metaphors were just bizarre and the irritating way she used to go on these strange witch-hunts was just weird and she could start an argument with a brick wall.

  2. After another shambles it's time for a big change me thinks:

    ---------------------------------Esson-------------------------------

    -----------Proctor----------------Duff--------------Munro------------

    ---Cowie-------------------------Black-----------------------Imrie---

    -------------------------------Djebi-Zadi-----------------------------

    ---------Tokely*------------------Wood------------Rooney-------------

*If Tokely is out injured, stick Imrie up front with Hastings at left wing or Lionel to replace Tokely with Vigurs coming in infront of Black.

Partick seem to be big on the 3-5-2, so with 3 up-front, they have to keep the denfender back at all times. If Lionel uses his pace and joins it to make it a front 4 then they'll have to keep more back (if he was played in this position he'd be a real handful I reckon). Esson in goal, Proc right back. Duff centre-back and Munro left-back. The midfield three of Cowie, Black and Imrie, with big Lionel just infront, for some presense in the midfield and so he can knock it on to the front three. Wood up front as the target man, Rooney to knock it in and Tokers right forward to jazz around there as well (know there's a thought, Roscoe and Lionel unfront, hmm). There you go, makes complete sense.

Subs: Fraser, Hastings, Barrowman, Duncan, McBain, Vigurs, McGuire

    next manager?

    Me

  3. You are obsessed with Lionel! :o

I wouldn't say obsessed, I just reckon I know the best place to play him, further up the pitch where he's quite good, not at the back where he's a liability. Same goes for Tokely.

  5. I dont get it!! Robbo did really well when he was our manager then left for his boyhood club and did rubbish, brewster did the same as robbo, doing well for us then off too dundee utd and did rubbish so getting a former manager back is not a good idea at all considering whats happened since brewster came back. Personally i would rather see rowan alexander in charge, the former grenta manager. I know he is unproven at spl level, but the players listened and the morale at gretna when he was in charge was sky high and thats what this club needs right now!

No chance, one of the reasons Christie resigned was because of the stress of the job. This guys got heart conditions and the stress of managing an SPL club could be fatal for him.

  6. I say they just give Rangers the three points and go for a **** up. Rangers need to keep winning so they won't settle, I feel we will be ripped to shreads.

Dear oh dear. :rotflmao: This language is truely disgusting and this makes your anti-swearing argument completely redundant. It also make you a hypocrite. You should be ashamed of yourself.

haha your so funny. I wouldn't class saying a p i s s up as a swear word. Where did I actually say I didn't swear though, never said that.

    Whatever

Now I know who is likely to be in and out of the team for Sunday, I'd go with this:

    ---------------------------------Esson------------------------------------

    -----------Proctor----------------Duff------------------Munro-------------

    --------------------------------Hastings----------------------------------

    ---Tokely-----------Duncan------------------Vigurs--------------Imrie-----

    -------------------------------------------Djebi-Zadi----------------------

    ---------------------------------Rooney-----------------------------------

Subs - Fraser, Wood, Zander, McBain, Barrowman, McGuire, Kerr (returned from loan spell at Elgin)

My god what planet are you on.Brewster must have really got to you with a selection and formation like that.

But you can just imagine it. Big Lionel terrorising the Rangers back four with his height, slinky skills and blistering pace. Well some of us can dream.

  7. Having witnessed the reaction to a single banner against Aberdeen I would say that having many of them throughout the stands is the way to go.

They don't have to be big, mine was on the back of some old wallpaper, but even if all you can manage is a sheet of A4 then your adding to the overall effect. If you only have access to A4/A3 then spelling out a message on individual sheets is a good idea to increase size and make them readable from afar.

Keep the messages short and to the point and avoid expletives so as not to give anyone any excuse to remove it, not to mention the fact that the camera will not show anything with expletives on....thus lessening the impact of any display.

Why doesn't CTO produce "Brew Out" printable sheets like the ones for advertising matchdays as I mentioned on another thread?

  8. One question - would you prefer Bayne to Wood, Rooney, Rory or Barrowman. And just think about playing Cowie just off him.

Absolutely. Bayne is better than all of ICT's strikers at the minute apart from possibly Rooney. Bring Back Bayne!

  9. Now I know who is likely to be in and out of the team for Sunday, I'd go with this:

    ---------------------------------Esson------------------------------------

    -----------Proctor----------------Duff------------------Munro-------------

    --------------------------------Hastings----------------------------------

    ---Tokely-----------Duncan------------------Vigurs--------------Imrie-----

    -------------------------------------------Djebi-Zadi----------------------

    ---------------------------------Rooney-----------------------------------

Subs - Fraser, Wood, Zander, McBain, Barrowman, McGuire, Kerr (returned from loan spell at Elgin)

  10. What methods have they used at teams down in England? Any ideas from down that way??

My suggestion would be to get a group of people to wait outside the entrance after the game and try and speak personally to the board? Maybe with print outs of conversations on here? A list of pros and cons to keeping this manager? Why you all feel this way. Do it in a non aggressive way, shouting about Craig will not help get your issues across. If you speak to them face to face (that's if they are brave enough to walk out) then hopefully they could address all the concerns???

Or another one would be to make boards that don't say get Craig out but suggest that the fans aren't happy. As a small club I don't think they would take kindly to behaviour directly attacking Brewster, I feel that in Inverness people want to stick up for people even if they are at fault. It's this bizzare highland trait. If they see it as a campaign for ICTFC interests over an attack on one person, they may take more interest? Just some ideas.

    No chance of that working.

  12. Thaking in mind that Black and Cowie will almost certainly be gone (though I don't think Wilson will be) I'd go with this:

    -----------------------------------Esson---------------------------------------------

    ---------Proctor----------Duff----------------Munro---------------Wilson-------------

    -----------------------------------Duncan--------------------------------------------

    ----------Tokely-------------------Vigurs--------------------------Imrie---------------

    ------------------------------------------------Djebi-Zadi-----------------------------

    -----------------------------------Rooney----------------------------------------------

Subs: Fraser, Hastings, McBain, Barrowman, Wood, Zander, McGuire

  13. With Wilson departing, who is highly likely to be followed out the door by Cowie and Black as well as Paatelaeinen who went a while back, ICT could do with with at least oneor more midfielders. But who? Trying to loan in that Graham Doorans could be a good who hasn't really featured much, if at all for WBA could be one option. Eddie Gaven, 22 yr old American internationalist at Columbus Crew (I think), Canadian TFC player Dwayne de Rosario (he can hit a good free-kick) or what about former Chelsea midfielder Jodie Morris from St. J?

  14. Okay, okay I see that the Muscat suggestion isn't the most popular, I would've added the possibility of loaning in Craig Moore (who's still really good BTW) when the A League finishes, but with him recently getting over cancer, I can't see him leaving Queensland Roar anytime soon. This Graham Gartland ICT are possibly after could be good though as he seems very popular in Ireland.

  15. I believe that Ch4 are showing a xmas message from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Needless to say, this has p1ssed off certain folks, not to mention Israel. So they prob see it as a reason to bomb Iran now!

I wonder if this was done to rile folks, as I really cant see why the need to air his views at all....although, the other part of me thinks...why not.

It's all quite bizarre really. The Israelis, most politicians and the media constantly churn out again and again and again that the President of Iran said that "Israel should be wiped off the map". It's actually utter nonsense. He never actually said that at all, but it seems to give "lets bomb Iran like we did Iraq crowd", ie - Bush a wee bit of excitement.

  16. Muscat is a thug and he's 35

Muscat may be 35, but he's a great passer of ball, a leader on the pitch and a world class penalty taker. He's also currently better than any defender ICT have ever had, including Darren Dods. And he may have had his moments, through the years, but who wouldn't want to see

    done to Gordon Strachan?
  17. Oh dear that's that not very nice is it. :rotflmao: We all have to have a bit of fun in our lives. Mine is football. Yours obviously is complaining. And secondaly this is a football forum. I know this bit isn't but a large part of how I feel about my football team is in my signature. Understand know? It's really very very simple. Am I ashamed? You bet I am. I'm really really really ashamed. So ashamed I don't want to see the outside world ever again. Maybe you should do the same.

You as a typical man are totally missing my point, my point is if it is alright for you to mention about how you want Graig Brewster to leave as he obviously isn't up to your standards, then why isn't it ok for me to complain about swearing?????? I don't see why me saying swearing is wrong should be compared to children dying?? Really don't get that, if there is more important things in the world then you certainly shouldn't be supporting football.

I understand it is a football forum, that's why I am on it, or maybe I missed the point???

It's very true, football is just a game and there are far far more important things but for millions, if not billions around the world, football is of huge interest and following football and supporting a club has almost become an institution. Swearing, on the other hand aren just some syllables put in a certain order. And I for one do not find that offensive, especially if it is not directed at you in an offensive manner. Just for the record, I hardly ever swear and even more rarely, infront of people or in public and I do find people who seem to open their mouths and every second word is a swear rather annoying and tireing, but I don't find it offensive.

  18. ICT are in desperate need of a real replacement for the great Darren Dods. What are your suggestions?

One of mine is 6"4 former New Zealand captain Danny Hay. Big, a leader, expreience from playing with Leeds and Walsall. Perfect.

Another is Dave McKay from Livingston. Fairly big, played in the SPL with Dundee and also in England with Oxford. Could be good.

Robbie Raeside, South African centre-back for Arbroath and described by Garry Wood would as the toughest opponent he played against last season.

And finally Kevin Muscat. Leader, very good defender, experienced, versatile, strong, always entertaining. He can single-handedly replace Darren Dods, Black and Cowie as he can play right-back, centre-back, right-wing and centre-midfield. Aussie league also finishes in January so he could be loaned in. Sign him up Brewster!
