  1. Is it only possible to get 4 tickets per person for the final? I'd like 5 to go with a group of friends, but the ticket site is only allowing me to buy 4. Any ideas how to get the 5th?
  2. Shocking stuff. Real lack of belief, players barely even challenging at times. I really don't want to hear another "can't fault the effort" interview from Dodds. Hard to see where we go from here atm.
  3. Thought that was pretty poor. Dunfermline were winning every first and second ball in the second half. Lucky to get away with a draw in the end. The co-commentator must be a nightmare to work with, he was constantly interrupting the commentator . Found myself agitated listening to it. Anyways, despite a poor performance, a point on the board away from home to what we thought would be promotion rivals, which is positive.
  4. Most pleasing result and performance of the season for me after going behind. We struggled first half but the heads didn't drop. Still think there's more to come from us too. 15 pounds well spent watching from Saint-Etienne, France. Beer time!
  5. What a farce this pitch is, players falling all over the place
  6. Solid performance. Watched the game from France and it was a tenner well spent. On paper this is the best chance we have at promotion since we went down. Looks like we have a nice bit of depth in the squad too.
  7. It's not just this week though, there has been a lot of fixture congestion of late with mid-week games. These things can add up when you don't have the depth to rotate your squad. It's more of a psychological thing rather than physiological. Anyways it's not really an excuse, if we want to get promoted through the playoffs we should be beating the likes of Alloa. Hope Toshney is back soon, we will really struggle to win play offs with a McHattie and McKay partnership at the back.
  8. He was left with what was a very poor post-Foran team, and he's improved us and brought in some decent players at this level. Agreed he's make tactical errors and we've struggled against bigger/better opposition, but if we chuck him the greater likelihood is that we'd go downwards. He's well respected considering his career as a player, and for that reason we've attracted players that others couldn't, especially managers like Billy Ried (where has he even been for the last decade, this was a very random choice).
  9. Ridiculous that people call for Robbo's head. Can you imagine the budget of Hibs compared to ours, especially these days. Who exactly would you replace him with? People forget we've got to a cup final, quarter final, and are well in contention to be promoted to the premier league. Totally clueless.
  10. Dissapointing end to a dissapointing week. I hope we can get someone of quality over the next week even with the window being shut. Surprised to see a loss for DU at home to Arborath too
  11. Osman Sow was very decent at Hearts, had the mobility plus the size. Would happily have White offloaded with him as replacement.
  12. Judging by match stats we are having a stormer so far ?
  13. Is there substance to this? I heard he’s being released and saw a couple of things on Twitter linking him with us. It seems logical that White could be on the way out given we’ve now got 4 players up top. If he’s away that would potentially leave funds available for Tansey. I wouldn’t imagine his wage demands can be that high given that he hasn’t achieved much since leaving us.
  14. Not surprised with the outcome of the play-off. Usually the better quality team will win over two legs and United are a better team with better resources. I think everyone knows that we are building and next season the aim should be automatic promotion, but it won't be easy. I think it was an OK season. We got to Hampden, and finished 3rd in the league behind two teams who are better than us. Looking at it objectively, we're a small club, with a small following and limited funds, so we've probably finished where most predicted we would. As such, I don't agree with the doom and gloom, as at times we've played some excellent football this season. With some promising recent signings, next season should be interesting!
  15. Plenty of very good players in the non-leagues in England. I worked with a university team in the 9th tier and one of their players is now a regular starter at Port-Vale. Jamie Vardy, Iain Wright both came from non-league teams.
  16. What channel with the game be on? I live in France but get most british channels including bbc Scotland.
  17. Keatings is a very decent player at this level. Could be a nice combination if him and Whyte are to play up top together.
  18. 4G pitch is expensive but the cost of maintenance is surely lower than grass, and you might have opportunities to gain income by allowing other local clubs to use it. BUT we are at enough of a disadvantage with recruiting players because of our location, I think having an artificial pitch might put some players off signing for us.
  19. McDiarmid!? Horrible place. If the semi gets moved there I won't be booking a flight over from France especially for it. Hampden isn't the best stadium but for me it has a special feel, especially after our cup win.
  20. Watched the game all the way from France (I recently moved to St Etienne), what an unbelievable performance. Some of the best football I've seen from us since Yogi was at the helm. A brilliant mix of doing the ugly stuff well and showing attacking intent. White is not the most elegant but he is definitely a handful, he held off the defender on a number of occasions. Trafford battled for everything, Doran wreaked havoc, Polworth was always a threat, Ridgers made some really important saves. Absolutely buzzing. I'll be booking flights back home for the trip to Hampden!
  21. Another solid win, we’re creeping towards a play off place now, 5 points off. If we can bring in a clinical finisher (easier said than done given our financial predicament) we can really push on.
  22. 17 shots, sounds like we should have taken all 3. An improvement from recent weeks at least.
  23. For me Robbo's comment are a breath of fresh air. With Foran there was too much tip toeing around what was really going on, and seldom did he criticise the players until it was too late. Like any manager when results aren't going well, Robbo is not blameless, but a lot of what he's saying is correct. It's basic errors that seem to be killing us. Allowing an attacker to score a rebound from a free-kick whilst totally unmarked is schoolboy stuff, and many goals we've conceded seem to be of a similar mold. Ultimately though, there's clearly an issue with psychology and the mentality of the team as a whole. Do we lack leaders? Warren is (or at least was) someone who could rally the troops, but maybe all he's been through with the club in terms of relegation has affected his motivation. Tremarco is an experienced player who we need on the pitch to help motivate his team mates as much as we need his quality as a player. The off-field problems with the board in recent times can't help either. Robbo is most certainly a motivator, and he has a huge task on his hands to be able to improve the teams confidence and turn our season around.
