Scottish Cup Draw
Why bother with a draw, they should just all sit round a table and decide in advance - lets help the big clubs and make sure that the wee teams dont make the final. Re-draw is a farce - yet again another cup draw which creates suspision around the credability and impartiality of the draw. Another embarassing affair by the SFA. I wiouldnt be surprised when we beat the Edinburgh team we will have a semi at Hampden against one of the OF - expect Rangers, as we will be seen as a more probable win than putting them against RC or DU. An OF cup final is overdue afterall lol

Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
Not suggesting its a fix, but really is all rather predictable!!!

Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
I expect us to get another spl team with a trip to dundee or edinburgh, but id take anyone if we got a home draw for a change, fully expect the OF avoid each other at this stage too.

January transfer window.
Disappointing seeing him go to another SPFL club, we know he can score goals in this league and sadly we will see him paired with Billy in a strike paring I think every one of us would have loved to see last season.

Contract Situation
Perhaps our players (or agents) reject early offers thinking they can do better or get more elsewhere, why accept in the first half of the season when if they do well could hold out for a bigger deal. Sometimes i think we are victims of being a fall back option. The board focus on the most important or influencial in the hope that we keep our best to build around or they may help persuade other members to stay. Based on Warren, Draper and Esson deals first that may back up some of those assumptions? But it is frustrating as I posted weeks ago we seem to be slow at getting progress.

Greg Tansey
Now the west coast media want to write about us, clearly winning the scottish cup and having plaudits about our stlye of play last season dont do anything for football journalists compared to creating some kind of immature celebrity type trash tv war of words. Clearly a credible football source to care about.

Team for WELL
Whats wedderburn done to be excluded from the rig lineup, surley a holding mid role at the expense of warren is reasonable?

January transfer window.
Probably because a player with the history, baggage and attitude isnt welcome or wanted at our family friendly club.

January transfer window.
Ha ha, cant believe some on here are giving negative feedback for suggesting one of our strongest players is under priced. Crazy.

January transfer window.
I'm not sure how anyone can see £200k for a player who when you watch him has possibly the best passing range in the league is good business. At 27 and 18 months left on a contract it's hugely under value. The accuracy and way he can ping account ball about is a skill missing too much in the Scottish game, add to that his free kick and long range shooting in tight games and unshakeable nerve show by his excellent penalty record even in huge games. He's a valuable member of our team and I think the board will regret that clause.
-
January transfer window.
If its now public and the release fee really is as low as £200k then i suspect there may be other clubs making offers too. If he goes it may not even be the dons a player of this quality at such a bargain price could create more interest.

January transfer window.
Strong rumours that the dons are offering to unload robson to us for the rest of the season on loan. I hope thats not true either as hes well past his best and not near tansey quality now.

January transfer window.
£200k release clause for a key player with his passing ability. Shocking if he leaves for so little. He only recently signed a new deal so hopefully that means hes happy but to loose another player to the dons will be sickening.

Good Luck Ross County in the Cup Semi
Well county have a chance to win the league cup now, much like us last year in the SC they got a bit of semi final luck. We lost the final a few years ago now they go into the final as favourites. Great for Highland football, thats 3 major finals between the 2 teams in the last few seasons, both cups could be in the region - this has to be beneficial for both clubs, its getting harder for the media to ignore the region and football teams, hopefully the national coverage will help both bring players up north. As much as I dont want RC being successful, I'd rather that than see the OF continue to dominate football and their fans who think they will win everything year on year. Just sad that we didnt play better in the quarters or we would have played that semi today. Hopefully the sucess of RC will push our players on to be even more deterimined to get to another final in the Scottish Cup.

January transfer window.
What about someone like Tony anderu, was was a goal threat when at Hamilton and his loan has finished elsewhere. Has never really had a lol in since following neal down there. Big strong and technically good, be great to get a guy like that in.

Contract Situation
Great news, it creates the nucleus to build around, with Warren, Meekings, Draper & Tansey I almost feel we could put any mix of players around them as its such a soild unit. But next up priorities should be as many of Brill, Danny Williams, Doran, Vincent, Polworth, Storey and Raven as possible. The rest I'm not overly fussed about, if Tremarco and Devine wanted to stay as cover then thats positive and i hope both Ferguson and Sutherland stay another year hopefully to break into the team but everyone else is replaceable. Regarding Fon Williams, I think he will be away. He came her to get first team football and get to the Euro squad which I think he will, there may be bigger offers because of that down south. Overall he has been a decent servant this year but his distribution has been poor in several games, constantly punting upfield or out of the park. Brill used to throw or pass from the back to allow us to build, I think this is something Hughes probably prefers based on our style of play.

Nat Wedderburn Shoulder dip

St Johnstone Ticket Allocation for League Cup Semi-final
Add that to St J play an edinburgh team in edinbugh, almost sounds like a faimilar story for a small club......cant think where I draw a parallel from though. Its all about trying to get the 2 biggest clubs an advatage to get them to the final to suit the sponsors and beaks.

Team for Hearts
Like mutumbo he has a almost cult following on here where if you say the slightest negative comment you get hi with the reds. Roberts has been injured a long period but if he was that good and rated by yogi im sure he would start or get more game time afterall look at warren he got thrown back in very quickly before he was even 100% cos hes a match winber and game changer and i bet there are some others in that situation or close to being thought that way.

Willie collum ref for this. Last time i saw him at pittodrie on boxing day he was god awful so expect more of the same.

2016/17 Season and winter break
Winter break = opportunity for celtic to play overseas money spinning games, just a coincidence that rangers look fairly certain to return to the spfl in time for this. But thinking that is cynical its got to be about player and fan travel safety doesnt it?

Mid-season report
Missing creative players like Doran & Roberts through injury hasnt helped added to we lost Watkins in the summer and now Christie is gone too. Roberts may come good but he needs to get fit, I do think we have Williams who is a great attacking threat showm last year when he played on the left and got forward, playing balls in the box and going past players yet somehow Yogi see his best postion at LB, when we have a capable player in Tremarco who can play there. Unfortunately injuries to Mutumbo and Sho-silva never helped as these guys never got going? Unfortunately unless we add width through Willaims (L) and Doran/Roberts (R) we will continue to struggle to create. Through the middle we have too many defensive minded players so nobody to unlock the door there either.

Player of season to date
To pick a best performer is difficult as nobody has been consistent to date, due to injuries or just poor form. Warren since return from injury has been solid at the back and Fon Williams has performed well although is still think his distribution is questionaable - long punts loosing possession regularly needs improvement. I think Danny Williams has done ok in the roles he is given, but do feel he would give more further up the field and playing him at LB is stiffiling what he can contribute. Tansey has found form and in some games if you watch his passing its pin point across field whit accuracy that would be lauded if he was at a bigger club, but he started poorly this season, as did Draper. Polworth is the most improved and has been getting better but still needs to work on his control, distribution and consistency. Storey has worked tirelessly up front and over the last few weeks has become a more isolated figure than ever as we seem to be getting more and more negative in play. On balance its between OFW, Storey & Tansey so far, but whats easier is the list of those who need to really up their game.

Mid-season report
I think I agree, we seem to be able to sit in and keep possession deep letting team play infront of us, but when we have to step up against teams who sit in we lack a cutting edge or creativity to open them up. When the 'better' teams come to us they try to go for the 3 points where as the 'poorer' teams tend to be more defensive and dont want to loose - with our lack of width, no overlapping runs and slow approach play its easier for them to stiffle us and hit us on the break, where thats what we tend to do against attacking teams.
