Would that be the one in the Times? The one in which respondents are asked to choose between a referendum in "the next year or two", a referendum "in about two years"(after negotiations), or no referendum "in the next few years". Can you explain how a referendum, possibly taking place some time between Autumn 2018 and September 2019, when the terms of the negotiations should clear, or even be ready to be debated in all EU Parliaments, do not conform to both "the next year or two" and "in about two years" questions...making that 32% + 18% (ie 50%) in favour of Nicola Sturgeon's time frame....and 50% preferring "not for a few years" which could be any time after "about two years" ...couldn't it? Anyway, it is pretty much the same split as in the last poll.
I notice, incidentally, that a Comres poll has 52% of those polled saying that any second Scottish referendum on independence should not wait until Britain has completed the process of leaving the EU....which does fit nicely with the preferred option of Nicola Sturgeon..
The last seven polls have had three with an increased pro-indy vote, two with the pro-indy vote much as it was in 2014 and two with a drop in the pro-indy vote that one and one which does not include the 16 and 17 year olds in their sampling.
Must admit, I have never given polls any credence since I was once polled, during a General Election in a constituency with an SNP candidate(who won incidentally) but there was no SNP(or "Other" option) on the form...so I was put in by the person asking the questions as a Lib/Dem...and I haven't believed a poll since. But they're fun to talk about.
You have my support Oddquine I could not imagine you as a LIB/Dem

I've always thought it is more romantic to be in a partnership than to be independent.
You are right but the Prime Minister is just about to file for divorce

Well Laurence that makes me a romantic person and I am happy with that

My thought was Ford Anglia 105e but that is not an Anglia badge, the bumper has large overriders, number plate in middle not below and the indicators in the grille are different so I have to say I am not sure on this one! The registration SST111 was registered between July 1961 & March 1962 most likely August-September.

I am sure there will be many of us going down to the tower at the castle when it opens at Easter to try and get better photos

Another good photo showing the old youth hostel at Viewhill Gate which is likely to be the last we will see of it! The building that is now the Castle Tavern looks like a house but I think it may have been offices and Brian Macgregors Garage down the Haugh, the white gable end with the roof to the left in front of the open grass area is the old rifle range.

Overall, there was enough in that performance to suggest we can turn things round. The big worry is OFW's fitness. Richie may have a big decision to make there. He certainly has a big decision to make relating to Garry Warren. We now have decent options in defence and Warren has made one or two crucial errors and is lacking a bit of pace.
Spot on there DD, although he has been brilliant this has nor been Warrens season!

Things we learned this evening:
1) Celtic are miles better than anything we've seen in Scottish football for a long time. Didn't need to get out of 2nd gear.
2) as hard as this is to say, the presence of Gary Warren significantly weakens our defence. In the interests of the team and results he should be dropped for Saturday.
3) Brad Mckay can't play left back. I know that celtic were getting joy down the left early on but they weren't getting in behind or creating anything clear cut. Switching him and Raven didn't work and it should have been left as it was. Raven on the left and Brad on the right was the least worst option.
4) we have no pace if Mulraney doesn't play.
5) OFW is the streakiest keeper we've had.
6) tonight means nothing and was never going to. We need to pick up points from the rest starting this Saturday at Firhill.
Hiro you are right in all you say but the game at Firhill is a week on Saturday.

Must be from an paper out of your loft IHE no chance of CB spotting Betty Munro The cars Morris Marina, Hillman Avenger & Volvo 245 estate. The lorry is a Volvo F86 which became very popular and led to the demise of the British truck industry. I think the van is a Austin JU250, the photo was taken when the old magic roundabout was in place in the town.

Which was the one where the landlord was refusing to serve Campbells*? Was that the Haugh as well, or somewhere else?
* ie refusing to serve drink to people called Campbell. Nothing to do with tins of condensed soup...
That might have been grumpy Bob!

Haugh Road runs from the Ness Bank Church out towards Bellfield Park. NOT the riverside road - that's Ness Bank - but the main, two-way road on the other side of the church. I always thought of "the Haugh" as being the area on the left if you are going out of town.
I don't think I was ever in the Haugh Bar, though I do remember an off-licence somewhere along Haugh Road!
My parents used to be members of Clachnacuddin Small Bore Rifle Club. Back in the 60s or early 70s - before the Club moved to its current range at Kinmylies - they used to shoot in an attic somewhere down the Haugh. I'm not sure exactly where - I'd have to wander round and see if any memories came back. The club's website says "apparently shooting in an attic above a pub", but I'm not sure about that.
The off-licence is Chalkys and it is still there. The 25m range was part of the same building upstairs right behind the Haugh Bar where I fired my first real bullets .22, it was freezing cold and poor lights but it was a great introduction to shooting.

Gringo I was not upset just disappointed! Like all political parties we don't give up the SNP support independence so we will keep trying just like all parties in Scotland.
