  1. Yes, but that was an opposition fan, not one of his own.
  2. No, he's probably not - but maybe he should. Not played for Dundee United this season, and Levein may be up for a loan agreement on him. I saw him yesterday, and he's bored. Gary's got a lot in common with Ross Tokely, and I think a back line with those two in would provide enough to make the ring of many a striker twitch - enough to make a swine flu victim cack himself, I would have thought. Discuss, but quickly; we only have 39 hours, 7 minutes left.
  3. PMSL - almost literally. I'm so proud you're my namesake (in the real world). (Posted through a cloud of red wine, J?germeister, Golden Rum, Weissbier etc).
  4. Now which team might you support? Let me think for a moment because it's not patently fecking obvious to me, as I'm from Dingwall too, and the fact that my mother is also my sister and my girlfriend has impaired my ability to see through a completely transparent facade.
  5. A game in which he was playing.
  6. But look at the company you have to keep.
  7. OK - I've had a dig, and it's not a case of where, it's a case of when. It seems that designated goalkeeper subs only existed for one season; 1994/95. :D If only I'd made my original post 15 years earlier. :D http://www.corshamref.org.uk/lawchang.htm
  8. Re: Shop - yes I've seen it now - i wasn't arguing, I just wanted to know, 'cos it's cool. Re: Subs rule - I'll get back to you, I'm on cerebral go-slow due to too much "Mount Gay" rum, possibly brought on by all the singing about loving Cox.
  9. Do what? :003: Sub a Substitute goalkeeper for an outfield player. As Caleyjag pointed out (and I missed), the announcer had Rooney as the sub GK, and this seems to be where the problem arose. Life is tougher without names on shirts. Which reminds of the wee man (about 10yo) I saw at East End Park, and today, with "3 Djebi-Zadi" on the back of his 09/10 away shirt - how'd he do that then? By going to a shop and asking for it on the back! Pretty obvious Allison didnt come on outfield but you could do that if you wanted. If you really wanted you could sub Rooney for Esson and put rooney in goal and put allison on upfront for foran. a: So which shop would that be then? b: No, you can only replace a keeper with an outfield player if either the keeper has been sent off, or the keeper has been taken off injured. You can only sub the sub keeper for an outfield player if the outfield player is playing in goal for one of the aforementioned reasons (or immediately following the sending off/injury for any outfielder).

  11. I'll go with those - don't believe the BBC - they're using third hand info, and got it wrong last week as well.
  12. Yes, I liked that - something like "Jeda <mumble, mumble, fade>..."
  13. I saw the Cox booking in the first half - he fouled no 9 McMenamin (I think) in front of the main stand after about half an hour. Can't remember the Hayes one at all (63 mins according to the BBC). EDIT - I see Cox was reported as 44 mins. Hayes was booked at the other side (in front of the converted terracing).
  14. Since I live just along the road, I was aware that I haven't seen Dens so busy on a Saturday since Premier Division days. The announcer then said they had given 1000 tickets away to schools and clubs - that would probably have brought an extra 1500-2000 in. Excellent game, which could have had any of three results right up until the final whistle. I was happy with the football I was seeing, with the exception of Eagle's unwillingness to take on his man. Sanchez flagged a bit towards the end, but I think he'd done his bit by then. Munro's definitely got it back from wherever he left it last season. As for Allison being used as a sub, as far as I recall, that's not allowed. Biggest disappointment for me (apart from not getting a third to clinch it) was CaleyD not having time to change out of his working clothes into something a bit more vibrant.
  15. It's still there - I passed it a couple of hours ago, and saw some of the patrons exercising their human rights by stepping outside for a fag. I don't know if it's still any good - the last time I was there I could still have a fag without stepping outside.

    Booing

I sat beside a pensioner (one of a pair) at Dumfermline who was exactly the same about Munro (and Imrie) - I wonder if they're related?
  17. You could have saved yourself the bother by reading "Who's all going to Dundee then?" Especially: I've just confirmed these prices at their ticket office. Yes, Mr_W, students are included in the concessions: SENIOR UNDER 16 STUDENTS DISABLED
  18. Well enough to catch the incompetent officials out more often than they did Foran. Part 1: yes Part 2: who knows? - would it have made any difference on Saturday?

  20. By the season ticket prices, they show the full gate price as ?306 (?180 concession), which makes it ?17 a game, and ?10 concession.
  21. Well I was in the Main Stand when you came out, and I was so shocked I dropped my bag of sweeties. I'd just like to apologise to everyone for the rustling noises I made trying to find them again during my temporary loss of sight.
  22. I was mocked when on the way home last week, I suggested starting a pie league. I wasn't too impressed last week. They were a bit soggy, and too peppery for my liking.
  23. Doing a perfect Mexican wave?
  24. No, I was driving - only going as far as Dundee (shhhh!).
  25. No, it was me who saw you waiting for the bus to Cowdenbeath, wearing your home top, with your girlfriend As soon as you said you were half in the picture above, I thought it must have been you. You stopped looking like him once you turned around and faced me.
