There are problems and concerns, but come on, you seem to have forgotten that only last season we beat 2 Premiership sides on our way to the final where we put in a very competitive performance against Celtic.

My main concern is our very, very poor home form (it's been like that for a number of seasons). Until we sort that out, we'll continue our downward trend.

I'd like to feel more positive......................

  2. The club seem to be on a continuing descent. A similar cup tie 20 years ago would have been a competitive affair with ICT giving as good as they got.

Our first 20 years were a more or less continuous upward progression where everyone from top to bottom of the club were in it together....................we now seem to be in reverse and if nothing changes, we'll be back in the bottom division in another 5 to 10 years.....

    Truly awful.

  3. I have given up hope for this season.

Just hope we can muster enough points to avoid the play offs : really can't believe I am saying that. It'll soon be 10 years since we won the cup and finished 3rd in the Premiership....

    Utterly depressing.

  4. it's good to see results improving. was at the match and clearly we were very lucky to be one to the good at half time. For the first 20 minutes or so of the second half we played some great football and all but went 2 up. We then seemed to just sit back (really don't know why) and invited Dunfermline to score and at the end were lucky not to lose.

Noticeable even though we are undefeated under Duncan, our performances seem to drop off the longer the match goes on. We need to fix that quick.

  5. From what I have heard, I am really hoping the board are working on getting Wotherspoon's contract extended until at least the end of the season.......

Looking forward to going to East End Park on Saturday.....

Thats so easily solved so that does not need to be used as an excuse . Get rid of our useless non speaking scot Gardiner and also the elusive John Robertson . That money would more then likely pay of Dodds contract and also go towards a coach that actually  knows how to coach . .

Agreed : awful to watch a once great club being run by people who seem not to care and worse have zero accountability.

He can fek off to county or anyone else that has money to burn . We certainly don’t have money to waste on him or ceo .

Apparently Dodds is on a 2 year contract (surprise surprise!!!!!), so I guess we can't afford to give him the boot.....................

No excuses on the Robbo front though : also believe he can be seen watching the odd shinty match...........

We need to get back to when we seemed to be able to pick up out of contract guys mainly down south who more often than not seemed to gel with each other and turned that into a winning mentality. Not quite sure what the current team train at in between matches...

A genuinely mortifying performance. You think it can't get any worse but every week we sink deeper into the mire. Big trouble folks.

.....and those in charge don't seem to give a f**k. No apparent interest in getting us back to where we should be.

We are a totally different club from only a few years ago

Gardiner is a little weasel. Him and Dodds need binned asap. He seems best mates with our chairman though who promised fan communication was going to improve from the previous regime but it's gone way worse.

That's how I believe things are : unless there is a change of ownership, it seems we are stuck with both...................

Gardiner seems to enjoy his status but it would appear he has little or no interest in the club's great history or for that matter it's future....

  10. The really depressing thing is, you really don't have to be very good nowadays to have a better than even chance of beating ICT.

The fantastic work and even better achievements of the first 22 years of our history has been completely undone by what has happened in the last 7.

    Quite the opposite.

Quite the opposite.  We have become worse.

We do still have Robbo.  But do we still have - did we ever have - a video analyst?

I am not sure what the sporting director has actually added since his appointment.............

Not just them, still some real hardcore fan boys within our support who still can't see the decline before their eyes.

The decline set in under Foran and has gradually gone downhill..

Listening to the post match interview, it sounded like Dodds was talking about the team lacking motivation.  Unsurprisingly, he didn't seem to have identified it as that and just talked about how disappointed he was and how he was feeling.  Yet again, no signs of leadership or accountability, so little wonder he can't motivate the team.

He is the manager FFS!! What hope have we with his and Gardiner's love in???

I have my season ticket and will see it out again supporting my team.  If the shinty is that good you can always do a report on the game in the Other Sports section on this forum.

We stayed in Inverness for around 20 years up until 2009 and hardly missed a home match. along with my 3 sons at various times.

Since we fell into the Championship for the second time I have rarely been to a decent away match. Last season in particular was pretty awful even though we just missed out on the play offs.

When you travel 100/ 150 miles return a midweek evening it would be good to see something decent now and again. For years the team has lacked a leader. shape and anything resembling a winning mentality.

The outlook for the season after today and our miserable League Cup exit does not fill me with expectation anything is going to change.

Absolutely dominated by QP , who passed it around us for fun and imo did us a favour by time wasting and not going for a 3rd or 4th goal. Could have been embarrassing today.

We really are devoid of any fresh ideas and the opportunity for change in the summer has been a badly  missed one.

Barely 2000 for an opening day fixture ,sez it all really, nobody gives a toss about the clubs current set up.

Yes. I really get the impression that Dodds & co seem to happy with a little above garbage..
