  1. Now I'm not really wanting to go over old ground regarding the good, the bad or even the ugliness of the stewarding that we experience at TCS, but I can't help but think that our support last Saturday has done us no favours whatsoever I wasn't aware of this but apparently the security firm that do our stewarding are the same people that do Ross County Ok I realise it was a minority who tarred the reputation of our support by throwing flares and entering the field of play but the actions of these so called supporters have probably made the relationship between fan and steward a lot worse My point being we can't have a go at the stewarding unless we start eradicating the bad boys amongst ourselves Cmon boys let's keep the flares at home and keep to the stands no-one should enter the field of play no matter what the circumstances Dougal
  2. A definite step in the right direction if the club is indeed looking into ways of giving away fans access to eating and drinking facilities Due to the remote location of TCS must admit I'm surprised it's taken nearly twenty years to do so but this could be a real money spinner for the club as I could see it taking off and it might even encourage more away fans through the turnstiles It would only be a success though if away fans behave so it will be interesting to see how the Derry Boys get on, let's hope they refrain from singing some of their Ulster numbers Dougal
  3. ^^^^^^ Orc If you ask me Dundee Utd will be celebrating the fact that there will be no hate filled bigots at Tannadice at the cup tie Pretty sure Utd will shift more tickets than they normally would as a result, let's hope this is the case and they humiliate them in what should be a party atmosphere My prediction Utd 3 Orcs 0 Dougal
  4. If we've only sold 2/3rds of the allocation that's shameful and the excuse of the game being on tv doesn't cut the mustard I'm afraid The way we are playing and our position in the league I'd thought this would have been a sell out long ago, I shudder to think what ticket sales would have been like had we being playin sh1te Dougal
  5. Are you being deliberately stupid? I'd hazard a guess that the would contact Scotrail to enquire about availability and costs Football specials have been on the go for decades it would be the ideal way to get the majority of both sets of fans to the game seeing there is as many County fans based in Inverness as there are ICT fans You could even segregate the carriages if need be but due to the friendly relationship I doubt it would be an issue Dougal
  6. The point being when I go to watch ICT play I go to support ICT not to hurl abuse or boo an opponent just for the sake of it If anything you come across like an old firm fan with that kind of medieval attitude Defend the booing of Tokely all you want but you know it and I know it that it was wrong for you to boo him in the first derby Dougal
  7. I would have thought the club would have looked into organising a football special train for this one I'd imagine traffic congestion tomorrow will be a big problem and this could have possibly eased or prevented it Maybe Caleyjagsforever should be looking into such worthwhile ventures? Dougal
  8. Surely we have sold out are allocation by now I know the game is live on terrestrial tv but I find it quite staggering that there still seems to be tickets left for what is the biggest game of the season so far Does anyone in Caleyjagsforever know how many we've sold or how many away tickets are left? Dougal
  9. ^^^^^^ would be better off at Eden Court seeing Mother Goose than attending the footie I agree with Tokely the booing was a disgrace to be honest it was done by the minority but it was still hugely embarrassing, a guy that sweated blood over the years for this club should never have been disrespected in such a way and I would like to take this opportunity to appologise to him knowing that he will read this thread Dougal
  10. It beggars belief that this could happen and it shows Elgin City in a very poor light regardless whether it was an admin error or pure greed Ok Elgin is a pure dump anyway but at least the postponement will keep it intact for a while at least Dougal
  11. The word legend is used far too easily to describe players in the modern game To me a legend is a player that has spent most of or his entire career with the same club and who has always had a great relationship with the fans of said club Who are these ICT fans that refer to Ian Black as a legend? Those with Orc tendencies no doubt Dougal
  12. Well let's put it this way say a pet cat gave birth in a kennel it doesn't make the kittens puppies does it? You are a perfect example of the type of ICT fan that the club targeted and that make up a large proportion of our support Yokels can accuse me of fishing if they want but the fact that other posters agree with me only shows that I and others don't tow the party line on CTO and have our own opinions. Is it any wonder more and more posters stop logging in and choose Pie & Bovril as an alternative? Dougal
  13. It's time the majority on here realised that most Invernessians are not ICT fans and in my experience there are quite a number out there who take great pleasure when we get beat or are in a poor run of form If it wasn't for the many incomers that have settled in Inverness in the last twenty years with cash to burn attendances would be a lot worse I can't think of any other town or city in Scotland who's locals are so against their local team ICT had NO fan base when it started so I think they are actually punching well above their weight to get 3000 odd home fans through the turnstiles for run of the mill games Dougal
  14. Likes others who have stated on this thread County sold their allocation at the first derby which included a designated singing section Let's not kid ourselves it's hardly rocket science to set this up and those who claim that it would be difficult to administer are sadly deluded If you ask me this would have been the ideal opportunity for the likes of Caleyjagsforever to get involved as they are the self acclaimed voice of the fans are they not? Dougal
  15. Whilst I agree the SNP find themselves in the strongest position they have ever been in at present they are still light years away from gaining independence 2014 is way too soon for the referendum and it will end in tears for Salmond and Sturgeon and as a result set the SNP back decades At present Scotland is stronger in the union whether we like it or not and it's widely known that many Scottish businesses have threatened to up sticks and relocate over the border should independence happen in the present climate Dougal
  16. Every SPL club will have lost out to some extent but ICT and County will be least effected because of the return of the Highland Derby Sadly there are still a sizeable posse of ICT fans who will miss the Orcs mainly because they still class Rangers as their "Big Team" Personally I don't miss them and I for one won't be degrading myself to attend the bigot fest at Ibrox for the up and coming cup tie The longer they remain in another league and we avoid them in all cup competitions the better The sooner Rangers and Celtic join the English leagues like yer Cardiff's, Swansea's, Wrexham's and Newport's did Scottish society will improve as a result Dougal
  17. Some amount of roasters on this thread Let's not beat about the bush here if Terry was offered any of the three dream jobs in his head( England, Orc/Sevco or Ipswich job he'd be off down the A9 without as much as a farewell wave Butcher is a nomadic manager who has been with various clubs in different countries I'm afraid those who thinks he will stay for sentimental reasons or because the highlands has nice scenery are sadly deluded Butcher is a legend at Ipswich Town, he captained them and to manage them would be a great honour for him If the rumours circulating regarding him selling up and buying property in East Anglia are correct I will wish him well and there will be no negativity or public outcry from me Dougal
  18. Erecting seating on existing terracing does not class as a rebuild as you put it Only the main stand was rebuilt, a great opportunity was lost by the SFA and shame on them, we have a national stadium that is a complete eyesore when you compare it to Wembley, The Millenium Stadium in Cardiff and the Aviva Stadium in Dublin Parkhead, Ibrox and Murrayfield are all far superior stadiums with higher capacities to Hampden and that's where showpiece finals and internationals should take place I'd personally leave Hampden as an athletics arena after the Commonwealth Games Dougal
  19. After getting thumped by Stirling Albion the day I don't see why we won't be classed as favourites for this one seeing the form we are in Ok it's at Castle Greyskull but I can't see them shifting more than 20,000 midweek so a flat atmosphere should work in our favour If Queen of the South can go there and win then there is no reason why we can't Dougal
  20. Like the Dundee Utd game another thoroughly enjoyable experience for the fans A very good attendance too and a lot more than I thought there would be, already looking forward to Dingwall for the new year game which could see some scramble for tickets Hopefully the last two performances will entice the glory hunters/stayaways back A slight improvement in atmosphere too but it still feels a let down somewhat sitting in the main stand, both ends were reasonably loud in short spells but it doesn't really project around the ground because of the crap stadium design Player wise everyone got pass marks from me but I'm still not convinced with Raven im afraid, time will tell though and I hope to be proved wrong As for Reguero the boy could become a real cult hero, eccentric goalkeeping but he deserves a run in the side A platform has been built in my opinion and there is now a real opportunity to build on it Dougal
  21. Now I have clear memories of an eyesore of a boat on the Beauly firth between North and South Kessock Does anyone else remember this boat which looked like it had been fire damaged and remained in the same spot for years on end Can anyone shed any life on this I.e how many years it was there, when was it removed and basically what was her story? Dougal
  22. A couple of questions to ponder 1 Do you think Edinburgh would fully embrace a merged Hibs/Hearts side? 2 Do you think Dundee would fully embrace a merged Dundee/Utd side? I deliberately never included the old firm because that would be too ridiculous to even consider No matter where you go in the world the answer is the same The city of Inverness may well fully support ICT at some point in the future but it won't be in our generation sadly Dougal
  23. Every ICT fan no matter where they are in the world should make the extra effort to attend this one seeing it's the first ever SPL highland derby Yes the game is being shown live to a world wide audience via satellite tv but I'm genuinely worried that we will see a half full north and main stand Let's not beat about the bush here had the game been in Dingwall it would already have been a sell out weeks ago There is a real opportunity that these Highland Derbies could be shown live on a regular basis but I have my doubts ESPN will be back if there are scenes of mass empty seats Dougal
  24. A couple of catchy numbers that should appeal to all the farmers amongst the away hordes but also the IHE lookalikes http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v=tb63PdPweDc http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v=DFyg739E2Tw Dougal
  25. Can safely say that was the first home game I've found thoroughly entertaining in the last few years, a real transformation and it sets us up nicely for friday night Huge performance from Foran, take a bow son although I can't think of any home player who can be criticised the night as it was an all round solid team performance Have to say if I was a United fan though I'd be pretty worried tonight as something really seems to have gone wrong at Tannadice as they look a shadow of the team that they were the last season or two Finally don't really want to put a downer on things but what about the attendance today a total embarrassment to be honest and it's very worrying how many punters are now staying away Anyway roll on Friday night its going to be a cracker Dougal
