  1. Still think the club should have issued limited pre merger kits to celebrate the 25th anniversary. They would have sold like hot cakes and a tidy profit would have been made. Sadly there seems to be a lack of forward thinking in our commercial department. Am I surprised? NO!!! Dougal
  2. Ryan Christie is on his way to the English Premiership he’s too good for Scottish football Without doubt the most talented footballer that has come from Inverness Dougal
  3. From a football point of view it has to be the Scottish Cup Final it’s been the pinnacle yet the club has sadly been on a steady decline since however and the fans have dwindled away. From a non football point of view it has to be Bannerman’s resignation from the forum never have I seen toys thrown so far out of a pram in what can only be described as a seething mess. Both the above glorious days IMO dougal
  4. Welcome to the forum Joseph. Inverness has expanded massively in the last twenty five years and the influx of incomers to the area has been huge so much so you really struggle to hear an Invernessian accent in the stands during home games at times. Ross county have as many Inverness born and bred supporters if not more so than ICT astonishing that may sound but it’s true. Think there are a number of reasons for this but Inverness has never embraced ICT and continue to not do so. The so called guardians 25 years ago got it so terribly wrong the stench still remains today lingering about in the city all be it not so strong. Time being a great healer and that I suppose. We do attract fans out with the city from the likes of your rural Aberdeenshire’s, Chorley and Caithness yokels Etc but they also seem to have the baggage of being old firm fans. As Inverness keeps expanding let’s hope more incomers arrive and swell the attendances at the dump Dougal

    Arrogance?

Could you not have enquired regarding the availability of the lodge from the brethren or did you have another ceremony Saturday evening? Does it not speak volumes that no one on CTO appears to have attended the Hall of Shame Dougal

    Arrogance?

I still find it absolutely astonishing that there is still a lunatic fringe within our support that think rank and file fans mean something to the guardians of this club. I very much doubt there were any true supporters in the Drummossie last night. You could probably count them on one hand at a push. Hall of Fame more like Hall of Shame Dougal
  7. Fat John Skinny John’s barmy army RIP Dougal
  8. Now that was a huge passionate and predominantly Invernessian support it certainly puts into perspective the football experience from a fans point of view every other Saturday down the dump under the new guise. I do remember the snow that night and I also remember the Airdrie section B for bigots hurling snow balls at The Caley Ball boys and Hamish Morrison. Watching that footage reinforces to me why it was and still is an absolute disgrace that Caledonian Fc weren’t allowed to go alone but then again the merger wasn’t done for football reasons. what could and should have been eh? ? 9. I’m not on CTO much these days mainly due to the soul destroying happy clappers but there are some amount of melt downs on Twitter regarding the move of Joe Chalmers and rightly so IMO. It appears now instead of being a feeder club to Aberdeen for years which I could grudgingly accept, we have now an unhealthy allegiance with County(Draper,McKay,Vigurs etc)and this certainly doesn’t sit well with me and many others. Its quite frankly not good enough and it is bound to have a detrimental effect on the purchase of season tickets for next season. It clearly shows the so called guardians of our club have very little or any ambition on returning to the top flight. A club from a city with a population of nearly 100k bowing down to a club from a village that has 5k sounds absolutely ludicrous but that’s what’s happening and only highlights this new worrying trend. 10. Utter nonsense ICT as a club need to engage with Invernessians first and foremost before they even attempt to dip into the wider community. The loyal core you speak off are mainly incomers. County indeed have as many fans in Inverness as they do in Ross-shire but what’s even more alarming is the growing generation of Inverness based born and bred County fans that have no affiliation to Ross-shire whatsoever. Im not for one moment saying the franchised highland experiment has failed but there are sizeable cracks developing. A solution would be starting to target primary schools within Inverness with free tickets this could be done by selecting one school per home game even if it was say a mini bus full using ICT transport. dougal
  11. Maybe the club could introduce a cost cutting initiative in the boardroom. Replacing Diet Coke with tap water for the local press would save on the supermarket bill at least. Every bit helps no matter how little. Dougal
  12. To try and compare us to Hearts is absolutely ludicrous we are not even remotely similar in terms of fan base and local involvement within the club. My concern is that we are on the brink of entering administration let’s be honest these rumours and we have all heard them have been circulating in Inverness since we were relegated. Worrying times regardless. Dougal
  13. Hopefully the county fans won’t be allowed to park their agricultural vehicles within the vicinity of the ground and there is a complete ban on entering the stadium with their whippets. Regardless there will be some stench down the dump that afternoon. Dougal
  14. Buster hopefully in the cold light of day and you sufficiently sober up your view will have changed because if not you seriously need to take a long hard look at yourself! Anyway how accurate are these figures you have quoted they are deeply concerning if they are. Dougal
  15. Morals go right out the window when money is involved! This latest bombshell takes me back to the time of the M Word, quite fitting I suppose seeing it’s coming up for the 25th anniversary. Dougal
  16. Decent performance in my opinion we matched County once again but the real problem here is JR’s inability to kill off teams tactically once we get the lead. He can blame the defence all he wants but it’s the same defence tactically he sets out week in week out I think the replay is a huge game now for Robbo, he has to change something and I would start to try and play the game on the deck I just think we are too predictable and County know that now Bigger park will actually suit County next week so we can’t afford to set up the same like last night. Dougal
  17. Had The supporters trust or any group of ICT fans for that matter been in possession of the flag last night it would have been the ideal time to display it due to the number of fans in our end. It certainly would have added to the occasion especially with it being on live tv. Cutting it up would be an absolute outrage and I would have to question the motive for carrying out such an act. No-one would want a rag as a momento. The only place to benefit would be the clootie well or the nearest landfill site. Dougal
  18. Well that alone will help the sales. Dougal
  19. Think handing it over tho the newly named ICT supporters trust as a free gift would be a goodwill gesture. Doofersdad would it be something the trust would be interested in? That way the flag remains within the club and can be displayed at any game in the future Dougal
  20. ^^^^^ Fake news I think the more likely scenario was that you were outside the main gates involved in the demonstration calling for John Barnes to resign. Dougal
  21. Nah as I’ve matured I’m more choosy who I drink with Dougal
  22. So the fact that you don’t have a season ticket ,rarely attend home games and freely admit to not buying official merchandise you ain’t really adding to the coffers or contributing to the club you seem to have a lot to say about then? Dougal
  23. Well I will give you a comparison from my own experience. I went to Stenhousemuir in the Scottish cup early nineties on the bus organised by Finlay’s Bar. Maybe you were on it but then again you might have been in the East end of Glasgow that afternoon? Now that was an away day probably only bettered by St Johnstone in the replay same campaign I think! The away day now is now unrecognisable you are sitting amongst numerous blue rinses where the highlight of the journey is sampling the home baking that they take turns distributing each week and that sadly is no fishing trip. Dougal
  24. Only some of the stuff? So what stuff are you ok with? Dougal
  25. Robbo alluded to this very subject yesterday in his post match comments. Robbo we do indeed have a minority away support that create a better atmosphere than the entire home support however they aren’t the ones paying your wages ya rocket. Caley Away are lining the pockets of all the other clubs they visit and they should remember that instead of coming on here and shouting how good they are compared to the home support This is the time that all fans home and away should unite it’s not all about my dads bigger and better than your dad.
