Caley 100 being positive is the most heartening post I have seen in ages OR has he been hacked?
Agreed even I’ve given Victor Meldrew a green dot.

Remember the young team have watched green street and as a result think they are some sort of wannabe ultras.
We have plenty previous of this type of behaviour they need named and shamed and banned. It should not happen to any player regardless of ability but Billy Mackay is a true ICT legend he gives his all and he has done so every time he has pulled on the jersey so to do this to his son is deplorable.

Some posters on here here need to get their facts right… so I’m correcting you because you are very wrong!
Pot kettle black springs to mind if I was to correct you about your so called facts over the following years I’d be able to write and publish my own book .
My point still stands that it’s outrageous a cash strapped council would throw 900k at ICT especially when it came out of the Inverness common good fund.
Anyway I thought you left this forum after you threw all your toys out of the pram in inconsolable tears and a highly entertaining tantrum from memory.
Not a man that keeps his word then eh?Again correct me if I’m wrong

Thought the purpose of town-twinning was to provide jollies for Councillors, VIPs etc., all sponsored by the generous Council Tax payers!
A fair point Buckett on hindsight such a trip would indeed attract some of the worst type of Invenessians I.e the local press the pretend journalists the free loaders and the hanger onners!!
Probably do more damage to Inverness than good.

ICT and sevco’s close friendship must suit you nicely give you a chance to air your old Union Jack

I agree with many things you've posted, dougal, but your comments on this thread are nothing but bigoted nonsense, and have no place on here or anywhere.
Sorry I’m not following you if it wasn’t for the amount of incomers there would be no ICT so I applaud them fervently.
My gripe is the lack of invernessian input or support so I’m targeting the locals that don’t attend or engage.

Duncan isn't paid by the club.
Keep fishing but try using fresh bait.
So can whoever is playing Duncan’s inflated wages not foot the bill for the German trip?
Fail to see how you know who is paying what are you on the board ?

Thats inevitable though, we were never going to exceed that anyntime soon although another national cup final last year is pretty exceptional.
Not sure what fans expected - challenging for the Premiershiptitle, a European trophy? In context there are plenty professional clubs in Scotland who have had less success in the last 100 years than we have in 30.
The more I see the glaring sense of entitlement on here and whinging about refs and 'deserving better' the more I see how SG thought an orange strip might be popular in certain sections!!!
I compare the IcT board since 2015 to the Celtic board of the 1980s once success was achieved they let it all slide away due to neglect and mismanagement.
if it wasn’t for Fergus McCann coming in Celtic would have done a Rangers and died.
Do we have a bunnet in the background to save us ?

We can barely as a club afford to run buses to the friendlies in Elgin, Brora and Costa del Lossiemouth, so doubt they will be able to fly the squad to Germany.
^^^^
this is the short sightedness I talk about I think the above is more due to the fact that ICT fans willing to travel to yokel villages are thin on the ground. What do you think big Duncan is getting paid then ?
what an odd post

Tm4tj or Yngwie here is a positive post for you both
Ok we are all used to short sightedness since ICT were born from various inept boards that’s something even the most fervent happy clappers can’t really argue with!
Inverness is twinned with Augsburg in Germany has anyone from ICT ever thought of contacting FC Augsburg to strengthen the bonds further between the two cities.
FC Augsburg are now an established bundesliga outfit would it not be great to get some of their fringe players over here to get game time it would greatly benefit both clubs.
Their loanees would be far superior to the jobbers we attract from the Vauxhall conference or the seaside leagues.Even setting up pre season friendlies would be a positive first year in Scotland the next in Bavaria what’s not to like we could build up a strong firm friendship.
ICT fans would travel for such a trip I know I would German beer and Bavarian women are marked upgrades for a start.Thoughts?

Let it go, ICT sounds like a class in high school. What other teams limit their team name to initials?
Caley, Thistle, Caley Thistle. All fine in my opinion.
Sorry paisley I genuinely respect you but I won’t let it go I will take this one to my grave and nothing will change me even over exuberant moderating on here!
I never picked the name the board did. I think it should have been Inverness United or city or plain Inverness.
When you have more County fans that have an IV post code than ICT fans then there is something fundamentally wrong with the DNA.Dougal

Had we scored three in each half Arbroath could have no complaints, plus the penalty....
I'm not sure why some people bother to say they are fans of a club but prefer to criticise everything about it. Is it a sort of Pie&Bovrilism.
It's OK to compliment them from time to time. Trust me, it doesn't hurt.
Yes there are glaring issues that need resolved, but constant grind is like listening to a spotty teenage keyboard warrior.
The club has been on a terminal decline since winning the Scottish Cup how you can’t see that is beyond me.
Question when you become a site admin or moderator is there a test you take to see if you pass regarding how big a happy clapper he or she is?
I admire your stance but I see no positives at present.

Hi everyone,
I attended my first Caley game last weekend on a complete whim as I was visiting close to the area. My hometown is Blackpool and I support Blackpool (I loved seeing Nathan Shaw score that third goal as a product of our academy) but as life has taken me around a bit I now live in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, not far from Leeds. I also follow Pontefract Collieries home and away because of this. 8th tier of English football.
I wanted to join the site to firstly say I really enjoyed the hospitality of your club. We spoke to a few locals around the city before and after the game and they were very welcoming us of foreigners.
Secondly, the football was brilliant. Now, I know I may come in to some criticism for this but it was like watching lower league English football but with an immaculate pitch. However that is EXACTLY what I want to see in a football match.
Lastly, and my only criticism of your wonderful club would be the home atmosphere. I expected booming when the third goal went in last week but it fell flat. Even at 2-0 up it was very quiet. I’d love you to create more of an atmosphere. Get that drum banging and get singing guys!! It’ll make a massive difference to your results!
I’ll be forever keeping my eye out for your results now. Hope you manage to string a few wins together and get up the table.
Come on Caley. Cheers
Welcome but it’s ICT not Caley.
Caley were killed off in 1994 we are the newco similar to Sevco who are the old Rangers.
Both predominantly blue but different entities

Afraid many of the lemmings have a very short memory when it comes to the Council.
Correct me if I’m wrong but did the local authority not gift us 900k from the Inverness Common Good fund to push the merger through this was deemed ok but now the council are the bad guys because they are rightly hesitant in making any rash decisions regarding this battery debacle.
Some posters on here need to think before they post.

Today was the day that I finally gave up on us getting to the promotion play-offs.
At the end of November I was confident we could do it. End of January after the win at Raith I was hopeful. That hope has been fading through February, and now I finally accept it’s all about staying up. Offer me 8th place and I’ll take it.Anyone else still clinging on to hope?
Outstanding bait Yngwie

So big Dunc says we were dominant in the first half and created a lot of chances?
Reality check here for all the happy clappers that lap this p1sh up, Arbroath are the only part time team in the top two divisions in Scotland so we should be more dominant and create more chances it’s not rocket science.
I still believe part time football is on the horizon I would even go as far as saying that some of the so called guardians would welcome it.
Im actually really looking forward to the Inverness Amateur League starting down the bught will be far more entertaining than watching a number of jobbers hoofing the ball about. One positive though we already look like a part time outfit on yesterdays performance so the transition from full time to part time should be an easy one.

There’s only one club who would get the red carpet treatment in Inverness and they also wear predominantly blue coincidently.

Blue rinse brigade? Average age of passengers on Tuesday was about 30. Don’t know when you were last on a Supporters Travel Club bus Dougal but we are not in the habit of serving home baking and shortbread. Although rumour has it there will be cupcakes on offer on Saturday from a regular who turns 21 on that day.
Hi Hearach
Admittedly it’s been many years since I travelled on the supporters bus maybe late late 90’s early 20’s.
From memory numerous blue rinses and some hairy legged men hating feminists thrown into the mix.
It was quite intimating at first but the atmosphere lightened when the shortbread came out.Enjoy the cup cakes on Saturday.

Exactly something not right there maybe ICT are not allowed to change the name I wonder? Like I say very odd very odd indeed
Maybe the supporters trust or whatever they call themselves these days can find out

Well said Danger
You know and I know there are large areas of Inverness who hate us profoundly I.e the communities of Dalneigh and Merkinch being two examples but sadly there are plenty more, they want us to fail and are delighted how much we are in free fall.
ICT are a business catastrophe when you compare us to our neighbours 14 miles north.
Look at the advertising for example around both pitches they have massive multi national companies pumping money into them while we have one man bands and local yokels etc
Our advertising is more suited to a highland league outfit.
Many business want nothing to do with ICT especially after the concert debacle but being honest the problem was there long before that.
You are 100% right a city of 75k should be able to support a competitive full time senior football team easily.
Would dropping down to part time status be such a bad think and regrouping it certainly would be better than administration or worse still liquidation.
It happened to the orcs so it could happen to us.
