Today was the day that I finally gave up on us getting to the promotion play-offs.
At the end of November I was confident we could do it. End of January after the win at Raith I was hopeful. That hope has been fading through February, and now I finally accept it’s all about staying up. Offer me 8th place and I’ll take it.

Anyone else still clinging on to hope?

    Outstanding bait Yngwie 👍

  2. So big Dunc says we were dominant in the first half and created a lot of chances?

Reality check here for all the happy clappers that lap this p1sh up, Arbroath are the only part time team in the top two divisions in Scotland so we should be more dominant and create more chances it’s not rocket science.
I still believe part time football is on the horizon I would even go as far as saying that some of the so called guardians would welcome it.
Im actually really looking forward to the Inverness Amateur League starting down the bught will be far more entertaining than watching a number of jobbers hoofing the ball about.

One positive though we already look like a part time outfit on yesterdays performance so the transition from full time to part time should be an easy one.

There a few comments on 'X' regarding this post. Appears the away team/fans are treated like royalty.

There’s only one club who would get the red carpet treatment in Inverness and they also wear predominantly blue coincidently.

This allegiance we have with Sevco is not healthy in my opinion.

Do we really want to be known as the orcs from the north?

Blue rinse brigade? Average age of passengers on Tuesday was about 30. Don’t know when you were last on a Supporters Travel Club bus Dougal but we are not in the habit of serving home baking and shortbread. Although rumour has it there will be cupcakes on offer on Saturday from a regular who turns 21 on that day.

    Hi Hearach

Admittedly it’s been many years since I travelled on the supporters bus maybe late late 90’s early 20’s.

From memory numerous blue rinses and some hairy legged men hating feminists thrown into the mix.
It was quite intimating at first but the atmosphere lightened when the shortbread came out.

Enjoy the cup cakes on Saturday.

Could be wrong, but I think the company was set up before the football club existed. Season's greetings old chum 🥃

Season greetings to you too Mr Mantis and all at CTO even Caley 100 who appears to be morphing into Victor Meldrew as the years pass.

Company was incorporated February 1994. Still doesn’t explain why the name hasn’t been changed since then to match the club’s name, it’s easily done.

Exactly something not right there maybe ICT are not allowed to change the name I wonder? Like I say very odd very odd indeed

Maybe the supporters trust or whatever they call themselves these days can find out

Actually it was a quite a happy bus home with a lot of laughs!  We forgot about the result, had our quizmaster extraordinaire with his footie questions, then a singsong.  Home before 10pm so - all ready for Ayr on Saturday - we are nothing if not resilient!

Well said lizi I always applaud the blue rinse brigade they are always upbeat regardless of the performance and they are there through the good times and bad so I’ve given you a well done 👏

Do you lot still dish out the home baking the shortbread was to die for?

Rebuilding, getting rid of the deadwood and bringing in new (better) players will cost. Lots. We haven't got it. We're skint. We have to survive this season there is no doubt about that. Relegation would almost certainly mean going part time and the slide will continue. Dunc had turned around our fortunes with that 'new manager bounce' but that bounce has now gone flat. Has he got what it takes to get it back? :ponder:I certainly hope so.

You say we are skint but yet we can pay the current manager a colossal wage?

You could argue Gardiner is deliberately taking us down the part time route in an attempt to start from scratch again there is certainly no evidence against such a stance anyway.
The club has been in a constant decline since the Scottish cup win and while communication is non existence you have to wonder what really is going on behind the iron curtain

  8. Why on the companies house site is the name Inverness Thistle Fc and Caledonian Fc named rather than Inverness Caledonian Thistle Fc which it surely should be?

It’s just an observation but it’s very odd.

  9. Ok there is an undoubted overwhelming stench of currant bunnary within the club and we are classed as the Sevco of the north by all other supporters.
Having said that Big Duncs appointment has put shock waves throughout the football world a lot further than just Scotland.
Master stroke or disaster I think it will become clearer sooner rather than later but I wish the big man all the luck in the world.
One thing this appointment has done has highlighted how many ICT fans support either side of the old firm something I suspected all along.

Am I alone in feeling the most frustration that the club is not actually approaching the Trust or issuing some kind of Board response to the growing dissatisfaction. That just totally smacks of could not care less and just heightens the tension.

  11. ICT were formed for the businessmen, the businesswomen and the ego trippers.
It comes as no surprise to me that the so called guardians of this club treat the trust or any fan for that matter with utter contempt.
I’m afraid it won’t matter if the trust has five members or five thousand members they will be looked upon and treated the same.

Rumours are rife regarding the clubs poor finances are we closing in on part time football?

    Are we heading for liquidation?

I see parallels with ICT and the Orcs there certainly seems to be the same deluded mentality from board level and a large section of our support.

I actually feel sorry for Billy Dodds let’s be honest no one in their right mind would want his job while the club is in this state.

Even some of the most deluded happy clappers are now seemingly seeing it as it is shame it took them 30 years but hey ho.

  12. Let’s be honest the real problem here is finances and as a result we find ourselves light years behind our highland friends further north.

Our fan base is just not sustainable for a SPL team it could be argued that we are punching above our weight to even survive in the championship.
The honeymoon period for the great highland franchise football experiment is well and truely over and there are now some serious cracks in the armoury.

For younger fans they are at least experiencing what it was like supporting Inverness Thistle back in the great days of yore.

Unless there is a serious change in direction which I don’t personally think will happen imminently anyway I’m another not setting a foot back into the dump.

Boycotts organised walk outs or demos outside the main gate may help but I doubt there are enough fans that are that interested anymore.

  13. If big Kyle does sign will we start to see the union jacks reappear again at the dump and the unsavoury songs from a loud minority?

We do seem to attract has been ex orcs not sure why but maybe that has something to do with the armed forces days that are encouraged and the loyalist marches that have appeared in the city in the past.

I don’t want him at the club if I’m being honest too much unwanted baggage.

  14. When a franchise is created being that a business or a football club communication diminishes or completely disappears.

Fans groups or trusts etc are wasting their time trying to work alongside folk that DON’T WANT to work with normal working class punters.

Fans groups have historically failed miserably to attract decent numbers to join up because the majority of sane minded fans know it’s futile.

Unless there is a complete rethink and direction change at board level communication will continue in its current form.

The so called guardians of this club present and part are not interested in the fans we are just going round in circles discussing the same p1sh

If I’ve got Celtic fans near me, especially if they set off these colourful but choking flares, and loudly cheering their team whilst around us ICT fans, then I’ll be shouting for the stewards.  I’ll also be doing my utmost to show these fans they are in the wrong area and should get to .....  Celtic fans have no place in the designated ICT section.

Well said Lizi 100% agree with you.
I will be doing the same if I see any fans that have Celtic tattoos and speak in strange Lancashire or Canadian accents the nearest steward will be informed immediately.

We can certainly afford to exclude half the site admin, moderators and prominent posters, but we shouldn't be excluding half the population imo.

The club was formed on the basis of exclusion and division.
It’s maybe a little late now to come to that conclusion

Tbf I don't think Council have stepped us this time so far?

They had a lot more going on in 2015 with displays etc. I think the shop in town was rent free and the open training at the bought rent free too. They also have the common good fund to utilise?

Why should the Council step up at all they are after all the Highland Council and not Inverness District Council.

The clue is in the name any council funding is long gone.

Astonishing that some ICT fans think the club should be bank rolled by the local government especially when there has been so many budget constraints over the last twenty odd years.

I've noticed a couple of posts on here recently where the posters could be construed as harbouring sympathies or loyalties to one of either Celtic or Rangers. Just a reminder that if Celtic and Rangers are your big team, then you are not welcome in the home end at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. Thank you.

I wholeheartedly agree with this however it sadly would have a drastic effect on our home attendances which are already at an all time low.

Do we really want to exclude more than half the site admin and moderators along with a very large number of prominent posters on here?

There’s no point naming names they know who they are and shame on them however in their defence they were the exact type of supporters the initial board of ICT wanted to attract while they shafted the football fraternity of Inverness.

  19. Maybe it’s just me but CTO seems extremely quiet?

This could well be down to the way ICT are playing presently I guess and the lack of direction from the board or indeed the silence from the Supporters trust or a combination of all three.

Have ICT fans left CTO for Pie and Bovril I sincerely hope this is not the case I used to enjoy P&B but now it seems to have attracted the moronic fringe of our support. You would be lucky to scrape a brain cell if you merged SandyCromarty and Sophia there really is wiser eating grass!

Im thinking of some of the great posters of yore that you dont see anymore, yer Scarlet Pimple, Dalneigh Caley, sneckboy, top six etc even CaleyD

Thats only a few I can think of off the top of my head but feel free to add any names you would like to see post again there will be a large number I reckon.

    We need them back!!

Best wishes and a happy new year to all or most ICT fans out there from myself

Yes it sadly seems so unfortunately  the majority of our support reminds me of  the Sevconian orcs at times where they just bury their heads and walk away.
