  1. If this ends up true, which it looks like it will be, it's a sad day all round. Afte what Yogi helped to deliver last year, he should have been leaving the club a hero, not like some pantomime villain. However, the rhetoric he has been spouting for past 3 months is akin to a man who simply didn't fancy it anymore. The job itself is exact same as when he took it on (unless promises were made when he signed his new contract) and we will never be a club with lots of cash to spend, so unsure why he is wingeing about it so much now. Maybe the board have reservations about Yogi's ability to sign quality players, I know I do. Anyway, it's a case of move on Yogi, thanks for the great job you did, and get someone in who is fully committed to the job ahead.
  2. I wouldn't say sacking Yogi is the answer, but unfortunately he is the one who has created the doubts. Sub standard signings, seemingly unable to vary tactics, lack of use of subs. I personally think a lot of our isses this year stem from the lack of pace throughout the side. Last year we had Watkins and Shinnie who could break at pace with the ball and stretch the game, we have nothing like that in the wide areas to do this, and that is compounded without having a real goal scorer to rely on. injuries haven't helped, but due to European football, some of our guys are near on completing 2 seasons without a decent break.
  3. What is the rule with domestic football being broadcast live on a Champions League night? I always thought that there was a blanket ban on any domestic footie being broadcast when Champions League was on, yet tomorrow night Arsenal v Hull FA Cup is live despite it being a Champions League night. Can anyone shed any light?
  4. Great result today and all that we can ask for. Looked like Storey was carrying a knock before being replaced, was a yard off his normal all day. We looked better than them all day but created very little. Roberts strike was a joy to be hold. Bring on the quarters.
  5. So Yogi questioning a player/players desire to play through injury. He obviously knows who he is targeting, but I can't help feeling it's a dangerous route to go down. Given our players are a close bunch I can't see what good this kind of thing is going to do. The reaction Yogi is looking for may work in the opposite way.
  6. reading elsewhere suggested that due to Storeys form Swindon want more cash for loan to be extended whilst we thought it would continue under original terms, and the haggling is the hold up.
  7. Hopefully with having Yogi signed up, the players will start to follow suit. Good news to have that piece of uncertainty removed, let's hope results now pick up.
  8. It highlights how little money is currently in Scottish football. Amazing season we had has given little financial reward, and just shows why as a club we have to be so frugal. it may be frustrating for Yogi, but he knew the parameters he would require to operate in, and irrespective of what we achieve that is not going to change.
  9. Tonight illustrated one thing, we have no pace in the vital areas. So one paced it was unreal. When was last season we had zero pace in key areas? i feel sorry for Devine and Meekings as appeared they had nothing to hit. Vincent and Vigurs were anonymous and Storey had no support. undoubtedly we have a major injury crisis, but Doran apart, can't see anyone improving us in the final third How we were in this game with 30 to go was a mystery, poor all round
  10. I have to chuckle at the furore the shirt sponsor is creating. We don't have the luxury of large gate income, so I presume Subway like Cabrini were the ones who offered the most lucrative deals available. When I put my ICT top on its to publicise I support ICT not the sponsors whose logo adorns our kit I personally couldn't give a jot, who our sponsors are, and welcome anyone who invests in our club.
  11. Collum would love the fact we have a thread about him. Being the centre of attention is what he and the other refs these days crave. Like everyone else, I never intentionally have paid money to watch said clown in action, though it doesn't feel that way. Always feel he is trying to be the star of the show, and more often than not games involving him end up with lengthy discussions about his dubious talents. the fact UEFA rates him, tells you everything that is wrong with football. Used to be you never noticed a good referee, but funnily enough we can just about name them all now.
  12. Watkins never wanted to stay ( look at comments from him and agent) and Shinnie had outgrown us. Hamilton took in £1m for Andreu plus other cash for players, that's why they have more to invest. The sooner we realise last year was a one off the better. Surviving in Premiership, given our annual turnover, is what we realistically should be looking to achieve ( even if we think we should do better) I want last year all over again, but let's face it, economics would suggest otherwise.
  13. Absolutely rank rotten. Alarm bells should be ringing, losing is a habit as much as winning, given current formula I can't see it changing any time soon. we can cite injuries all day long, but today was pitiful. Huge improvement needed. Football I have seen this year (I.e. Little goal threat) is hardly going to encourage even the most diehard fans to attend regularly. Am a glass half full guy, but can't see it at the moment.
  14. I thought our tactics were spot on, given heat etc, just paid the penalty for having little quality in final third. Given our resources, to be able to compete in Europe is amazing, but would love an out and out striker, as that would definitely help.
  15. Look on the bright side, we might catch it on Local TV in Romania
  16. These 2 games are a huge bonus, but the fruit of many years hard work. I don't think any ICT followers dont want us to take it serious and try to win, however these occasions have to be enjoyed by all, it may never happen again. IMO there is too much credence being given to numbers who will or won't attend. The people who matter, know the significance of it all, and will be there, if circumstances allow. Personally, I can't wait
  17. I think I have made payment via PayPal. If it's not there let me know
  18. Just to echo above, great work guys, and thanks.
  19. Flights booked Aberdeen-Frankfurt- Bucharest, fly out Weds, back Friday evening, all for a competitive £332
  20. Due to a late cancellation, have 1 return train ticket from Aberdeen, and ticket for North Stand spare. If anyone can utilise this, can they let me know by DM. Apologies for putting this on this forum but not sure where else to put it.
  21. The fulfilment of childhood dreams. The satisfaction we have done it despite the power brokers in Scottish football treating us with utter contempt. And lastly amazing pride on what everyone connected with ICT has achieved since 1994. Really is the stuff of dreams, irrespective of result on Saturday, but by god a cup win would be the cherry on top of the cake. Bring it on!!
  22. Yogi got it spot on today with team selection. The score was irrelevant, as we concluded our league business a fortnight ago. Am glad that game is out the road, as we can now concentrate on the main event Bring it on.
  23. I would go with McKay in goals for next 2 games, as have to protect Esson for Cup Final, and have to prepare for every scenario. Perish the thought, but should Esson get sent off early in Cup Final, you wouldn't want to throw a young keeper in to such an important game with zero first team experience. To counter that, any player could get injured in training, so it's a fine balance as to best way forward. Agree with previous post that Game time be given to what have been essentially squad players this year. Will leave it to the management team, as they haven't done too bad this year
  24. Growing up as a kid in Inverness in the 70s, I would never of dreamed of having a team in the Scottish Leagues. Now 40 years on, Inverness has the 3rd best team in the country, and qualified for European competition. We constantly surpass everything I ever thought possible, and making the kid in me believe in miracles, it has been amazing. Passport at ready, can't wait to watch our team abroad, and hopefully win many more friends en route.
