    don't know if you got my message.I'm new to this just wanted to say that the Locarno cafe was owned and run by Renzo,The Washington in eastgate was owned and run,I think by Rosie ? Dorando's was at the bottom of academy street,I can't remember the name of the brothers,they also had The rendezvous.Unfortunately Charlie Pieraccini died this week ,He owned and ran Charlies at the bus station.I remember that place in 1959

      Thanks for that Violet. This is bringing back one or two things for me. Charlie's café in particular was something of an institution and I did see his death in the paper.
