  1. Yes, just got the news that the Huddersfield game midweek will be his last. Good at taking teams out of the mire, and always said he'd love to coach in Scotland. Great experience, could get a younger coach as his assistant, to eventually take over.
  2. What about Robbie Neilson, he's won this league twice, might have some good contacts?
  3. I think he works for Brentford, heard he had been working with Hickey.
  4. As long as it's not Gary Locke. Another one devoid of tactical awareness.
  5. He's not the only striker at the club is he?
  6. If the strikers are finding it difficult to score, surely that is down to the way the strikers are coached? If only we had an ex international striker as our coach to show them how it's done!!!!!
  7. Whoever had the final disastrous decision to award the tactically naive talentless excuse of a coach a two year deal, needs to be first out the door. It smacks of giving him protection against the sack. In one of the Wyness Shuffle podcasts, Gardiner was asked about how close we were to changing the manager when we were on that eleven game winless run, and he said something along the lines of very close, so, any CEO worth their salt wouldn't have handed out a two year deal, when they know that he has that in his locker, it should have been at least a rolling contract, or in a perfect world, Dodds would have left after the Scottish Cup final, with nothing, that would have been in the best interest of the club, which the CEO is supposed to be responsible for, instead of putting them in such a perilous position. Is another defeat today against Raith acceptable to the club now? Or are they waiting till we hit eleven games without a win till they act?
  8. I can't wait for the video when Dodds actually takes some responsibility for our position, because I'm yet to hear him take any of the blame.
  9. I was watching Final Score, and the longer the game went on, I thought yes, I'll take a point, but no, it's another defeat. The time is surely ticking for Dodds, Gardiner, Robertson, Wilson and Kellacher, if not, then it is league one and part time football.
  10. Over the years I have made suggestions to the club on small things that could be implemented quite easily, and at the time, if I ever got any comeback, they made the right noises, but nothing ever happened, so if they aren't interested in things that can be improved, what hope have we got of them sorting out the big problems at the club. As for what we do next, I really don't think enough supporters would join in with whatever protest was proposed. Possibly most folk on this forum, or on the FB page, but the wider support, how do you engage with them, not everyone is online. Even with my health issues, I would sit in or walk out, but it's no use if the majority don't, and the club will just scoff if it isn't a substantial protest.
  11. I always questioned why this was Dodds first job as a number one at his age, when he has always been a number two! And as for the two year contract, that just smacks of jobs for the boys. His contract was up, the club could have let him walk out the door without compensation, but they decided to give him a two year deal and now he would walk away with a nice tidy sum, if we could afford it, which we can't. I only hope that there are some conditions related to the contract, like we have to have so many wins or so many points by a certain date, but I won't hold my breath on that score. Today's game would have been a great way of getting some form and confidence back into the team, if we had of played our strongest team, instead, we let possibly one of our rivals down at the bottom of the table, get a psychological advantage over us, so we go into our next crucial game, with low expectations, no form, and Dodds no wiser to our best eleven, formation and tactics. I look at all the teams in the league and can't see where any wins will come from.
  12. I'd rather get some money for him, rather than him leaving for nothing, which seems to be our default position when our best players leave.
  13. Nathan Shaw for me, was our best player yesterday, and not for the first time in several games, and I was reading that his contract is up at the end of June 2024, if this is correct, has the club entered into a contract extension, and if they have, and Nathan doesn't want to extend his contract with ICT, shouldn't they make him available for transfer? Otherwise he will be the next one of our long list of top players to leave the club for nothing.
  14. It was the largest away support that has been in the away end for some considerable time. I expected Dunfermline and Dundee United to be the two teams bringing good numbers to the stadium this season. There were a few boos, and a few shouts about Dodds to GTF, but else nothing significant that I saw or heard.
  15. When we started to revert to Hoofball in the second half, I thought the 'Magical Folder' might have told the clowns, sorry, coaches, that introducing Big Harry Lodovica might have been an option, but no, the said Magic Folder told them to take off Mckay and put on Samuels to try and out jump their big centre backs! It's not Dodds and Co's fault, bad Folder bad Folder.
  16. A big improvement in the first half, but that wouldn't be very difficult going by past performances. Officials were pathetic, the number of 50/50 that went in their favour was horrendous and the linesmen couldn't see what was offside or on. Typical second half from ICT. Our opposition change things to get a grip on the game, and our 'so called' coaching staff look at a magical folder for answers! Football matches are never won by looking at a folder, and Dodds doesn't have a clue how to counteract things when tactics need changing. Time to look at the 2 year contract to see if there are any loopholes so we can dispense with Dodds now, before we are deeper in the mire.
  17. I totally understand the mixed feelings of many supporters, I find it hard to drag my ageing body along to watch what's been on offer on very cold wet winters nights, down at the stadium. But, I had been an Inverness Thistle supporter from around 1970, and followed them home and away, through the good times and bad times, that's what you do when you follow your team. Granted, the football that is on show now is possibly the most frustrating and unexciting watch that I can remember for some considerable time, but I've never been a glory hunter that only comes out when the good times are here. If only some of the 15,000 fans that came to the cup final, with their newly bought hats and scarfs, would have carried on and supported ICT In the following seasons, we could maybe have attracted a better standard of player, and a far better manager. I don't know if any clauses have been inserted into the unbelievable two year contract that the club gave to Dodds, but knowing what has happened in the past, we would probably go bust if he is paid off, and that is something that we all fear. So, I will be down at the stadium on Saturday, hoping for a point if nothing else. I look at the teams in the league now and really can't see where wins are coming from.
  18. It used to be the mantra of the managers that we won't sign anyone unless they are better than what we already have, they didn't want bench warmers. Well, apart from Nathan Shaw, none of the other recent additions have set the team on fire, and I can't see how many of our youth players are not as good or not better than some of the players we sign, who will probably be gone by next season.
  19. I really don't see how we can sack Dodds, as they have given him a two year deal to protect him from the sack, as doing it would probably send ICT into administration. Why they never gave him a rolling contract based on results is not beyond me, as it looks like jobs for the boys, not a contract based on performance.
  20. I don't think we're as good as that!!!!
  21. I think I was a tad optimistic saying I thought we'd end up 7th this season!
  22. Don't know what's up with Doran, he wasn't in the team photo at Clach and he was getting into his car as we left the ground right after the game, so he was out before the team had left the field with the cup.
  23. There have been instances of other players downing tools to force a change of coach or manager. Now, I'm not saying our players would even contemplate doing that and I'm sure that everything in the club is happy and rosy, but there must be a reason why the coaches say the team is slow to start and low on energy? Is it the training? The tactics? Lack of fitness? Or lack of good quality coaches?
  24. It would have to be a walkout for me. I think if it was a sit in, the powers that be would just leave and let the minions to clear it up.
  25. I'm just putting a question here. If Dodds contract had run down at the end of the season, he would have just walked away with no severance pay, yes? So, giving him a two year contract gives him a big payoff if he gets the sack during that time, yes? Which could be the reason he got the contract, because it certainly wasn't because of his tactical brilliance, I've never seen a worse coach who can't see what is blindingly obvious and needs changing to most folk watching.
