  1. No Shock, Aitken & Water man.. Inverness progress to the final of the Chocolate Biscuit Cup despite Storm Dennis and referee Greg Aitken doing their best to ensure that the team from the Highlands would not line up in the final against Raith Rovers at the end of March. A torrential downpour and Gael force winds turned the game into a lottery. Mebude opened the scoring early in the first half as he was given time and space to turn and drill a low shot beyond Ridgers. Substitute James Keatings volleyed home from the edge of the box to level matters just before the break. Keatings
  2. The Countdown Begins Hey Caley Jags fans, it's Hampden week as the build up to the Scottish Cup semi-final starts in earnest. Remember this image? What a history making day that was for the club. Legends every one of them. We had to do it without the suspended Gary Warren. Well Deja Vu! We will have to get through this one without our inspirational centre back Coll Donaldson who will be suspended, possibly even injured as well after hobbling off against Ayr. That's us done with the Championship for now as we take a sabbatical after beating Ayr United to jump
  3. ICTFC v Forres Mechanics Tuesday 11th September 8PM KO Tulloch Caledonian Stadium North of Scotland Cup Inverness Caledonian Thistle will play Forres Mechanics in the semi-final of the North of Scotland Cup on Tuesday 11th September with the game kicking off at 8pm at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. ICTFC have advanced to the semi-final after a 16-0 over Fort William in the first round and a 6-0 victory over Lossiemouth in the quarter-finals, with a blend of first-team players and the U18s squad featuring in the games so far. Ross County host Brora Rangers in the o
  4. Can Cans Can't Stop Mackay A damp and blustery night greeted the semi-final of the North of Scotland Cup on a sad day for North football and journalism as it was announced that former Caley manager Alex Main, who amassed 14 trophies including 4 Highland League titles at Telford Street, had passed away at the age of 86. A tribute to Alex can be found on the Official Site. RIP Alex. John Robertson had indicated he would give a handful of squad players a game and Charlie Trafford, Riccardo Calder, Daniel Mackay and Jamie McCart were joined by striker George Oakley in
  5. IrnBru Cup Semi-Final Inverness welcome Irish Premiership side Crusaders to the Scottish Highlands for the IrnBru cup semi-final. Just when you forgot all about this competition, someone somewhere comes up with a date and time to suit everybody. Well, the date is Sunday 18th February, the time is 17:15. I kid you not. The weather has relented in the last couple of days which is just as well as the pitch looked somewhat tired and heavy after weeks of dismal winter weather took it's toll. I would still expect a less than velvet surface with the going soft. Logistics aside,

  7. Tansey's bullet, Nick Ross's equaliser, Brill's penalty saves or Draper's nerves of steel - take your pick, but was yesterday the most memorable moment in ICT's short history? Of course, there are other contenders - the inaugural match after merger, various promotions, the Celtic 3-1 thrashing etc, etc. As a relative newcomer to the ICT scene, yesterday eclipsed my previous highlight of getting straight back up to the SPL a few years ago. Of course, all of this will be eclipsed when we win the final, but for now, this is the best for me! For debate....

  9. Thought this may be of interest to some, shame I never heard earlier, anyway... Young Scot are doing a giveaway of 25 pairs of tickets for young people, you have to be aged between 11 and 26 and have a Young Scot Card. Go to https://rewards.youngscot.org/ and sign up with your young Scot Card for rewards (if you haven't already done so). You then have to earn 500 points on your rewards. This is quite easy though as all you need to do is then do a few things like follow them on twitter, FB and do a survey etc to reach that target, the site has a full list! There are other rewards too.
