It was widely reported last week that Celtic were interested in Valladolid's keeper Jacobo. Some of the papers today are saying that they are now in talks with "?1.8m rated" central defender Arzo. Both played against us, I believe.

That's quite a lot of interest in a team who failed to beat us, Killie or St J on their tour.

Yes, it seems that most teams, except us, are not shy in valuing their players. What is the most we have received for any of the players who have gone to 'bigger' teams?

Was it Robson, Brown, Black or Cowie? I seem to remember ?150K being about the most we got. Excluding Marius of course, who was a slightly different case.

We got ?110,000 for Rankin although 25% of that went to County. The fees for Cowie & Brown were undisclosed. Black went for nothing. Could well be Robson as I think we got a fee for him + money from the sell-on to Celtic

i seem to recall Cowie's fee being about 50k and Browns was about ?200k.

Cowies transfer came to 150k cos it was a straight up 75k and if watford stayed up we got another 75k

laferty cost rangers 4 million so i feel we should of had at least the same amount for most our players we sold :_thumbdown:

I think the most we have ever received for any type of transfer at all wasn't for a player. Did Dundee Utd not pay something like ?300k for Brewster?

I think Marius Niculae was the biggest transfer fee we recieved .
