Been watching the Celtic V Dundee United match

Celtic passing is frenetic and very good. Forwards ,however, have not been looking dangerous.Dundee United were very spirited and kept at it with some great football. Goodwillie very aggressive and energetic.

Caley THistle can beat Celtic next week if the defence is very strong and they attack Celtic at every opportunity. When Dundee started to push, Celtic wilted. At times in the second half, Celtic looked bemused at the skill of the Dundee U players.

Just listening to Mark McGhee's interview on the radio and yet again it's others influencing the game and not his own players, this week it was the referee with the sending off and he keeps going on about having ten men on the park.

Definately a man under pressure looking for other reasons other than his team not being good enough.

That second half was absolutely barmy. I need a lie down now.

How on earth will we hold on to Rooney? He had a quiet first half, but he took his second and third goals beautifully. Hats off to Hayes - instead of cowering in his shell after he gave that gift to Riordan, he went and laid on two for Adam with sublime passes.

Wasn't Lee Cox brilliant today? Back to his Duracell bunny best. Thought Shinnie had a blinder too.

And there are three certainties in life - death, taxes, and that Mark Brown can't save penalties.

Fantastic. How many bottles of wine do we currently owe TB as a Christmas gift?

Rooney, Foran and Hayes, the best attack in the SPL.

Rooney took his goals brilliantly, Hayes playmaking was majestic and was great for Foran to get off the mark for the season.

Despite the 2 poor goals we conceded i thought we contained the likes of Nish, Riordan and Rankin very well.

Thought everyone was great today, paticuarly Nick and Shinnie, their best games so far imo.

A much needed home win and with a few home games coming up after the parkhead fixture will do great for the players confidence.

That's the best I've seen us this season. We controlled the game for long spells, and if we'd taken our chances we could've had 6 or 7 easily. Brown made a few fantastic saves as well, and Richie was unlucky not to get himself a first half hat-trick.

Every player was immense, and other than 2 very sloppy goals, it's hard to be critical. Hayes certainly made up for his woeful back pass by playing two stunning passes to help Rooney get his hat trick.

Great performance...10/10

Great game, we should have won about 12-3................however, what a gem of a game from Adam, just super. Wee Jonny gifted the Hibs an opening, rolling the ball in to the strikers path, I kid you not, he was aghast, like the rest of the stadium.....Hibs penalty, no doubt..........how it came about is debatable, but not Rossco's fault initially.

Still, we were always better than Hibs.

Superb three points and the hoodoo continues.

Yeah.... This was a stroll in the park today for our lads...

A nice little work out in preparation for the big one next Saturday at Parkhead.

Even with us gifting the Hibees a couple of goals the result was a foregone conclusion right from the kick off.

Whilst every player will next week play out of their skin, I predict Wee Johnny Hayes will work his socks off. The crowd were fantastic to him today after his little error. That moment in itself may change our home record this season. Absolutely pleased with the support all round today. For the second half we were relaxed by the Mascot entering into the spirit of Christmas and struggling to work out the route back to the tunnel. The sports bar could well be the boost we need with team support and singing.

Apart from the Mascot the most humorous moment was greeting Adams entrance through the tunnel with 'where's your Daddy today?'

Exilerating, thrilling and hugely enjoyable.

About as much fun as you can have with your clothes on

And in the chill November air they needed to be on.

One little downside was Jonny Hayes tweeking a hamstring near the end. Would be surprised to see him next week.

Feck!

ing beautie

Nice recovery mun.

Just back from the pub, on reflection we looked dangerous every time we went forward, although after scoring we went on the back foot and let hibs feck around with the ball too much.

But hey... we have Rooney and they have Nish, result.

But hey... we have Esson they have no31...now 32 ha ha.

is that really how many pens Broonie has let in? according to the oracle mannie it is.

Hibs must be wondering what they have to fecking do to get a result here... mind you maybe them getting two goals IS a result!

Cracking game. 6 goals, 2 penalties and a sending off.

Enjoyed seeing Del Deeks Derek Riordan getting shown up as a horrific ned with little skill and even less workrate. Rooney took his hat trick superbly, he is lethal at the moment.

Russell Duncan and Lee Cox should always be playing together in central midfield, it's like having Roy Keane and Fabregas together in the same team. :tongueincheek:

Hope to god Hayes isn't out for next week.

Good performances all round. Roscoes psychotic reaction to Hayes moment of madness was hillarious. I don't think I've ever seen anyone lose the rag quite so spectacularly. Shades of the famed 'angry german kid'. This seemed to spur (terrify) the wee man into setting up 2 goals and redeeming himself. Rooney will get most of the plaudits for his hat trick but a close second has to be Grant Munro, he was outstanding today.

ABsolutely agree, he was immense today and continued his great form so far this season. Calm on the ball and, along with Tokely, dealt with Nish well.

Has Mark Brown ever saved a penalty?

Mark saved a penalty against Celtic in our first SPL season at Pittodrie.

Didn't get the accolade he deserved as they scored from the rebound.

Does that count as a penalty save?

Does saving a penalty count as a penalty save? wacko.gif
