well Mrcaleyjag , now we know what you are,a hun who goes to Tulloch so you can wear a blue jersey, next you will want to sing the sash, billy boys and the famine song.

I moved up here 16yrs ago and started going to Caley matches 10years ago so my son could be brought up in a bigot free enviorment.

You have disspelled that idea, how many more of you are there hiding behind Caley colours, are you one of the ones i see at the Bridge End when Rangers are there not daring to cheer when any team scores??

Believe me there's loads of rangers fans going to watch ICT home games and it's part to do with the rubbish atmosphere at home IMHO . It's like the lads that weren't allowed into Parkhead yesterday with their " loyal " flag and it's obvious Rangers links .

Since when have Rangers fans had exclusive rights to the word "Loyal" We have many Loyal ICT fans. If narrow minded brainless numpties assume the word Loyal means Rangers fan, well, waste of fresh air IMO.

Anyway as for the game Just as well I didn't make it, as I do like a song, and god forbid, I do like to enjoy myself. I am fairly certain Jaime etc and myself would have been in same pub before the end of the game.

Dewsbury Dude no offence but I'm glad you never went, after your chest bearing antics at Ibrox I would have feared for your health had you done the same thing yesterday!!!! :tongueincheek:

The behaviour of the stewards sounds dreadful but I guess it is simply a reflection of the culture within the club. We have seen recently that the chairman and their obnoxious manager feel it is alright to throw their weight around and intimidate people so perhaps that is what the stewards feel is expected from them.

If it was me being treated like that I would write to the club to complain (not that it'll do any good but at least it would make me feel better) and I would also copy the letter to ICT and and to the SFA. Our club should be made aware of the inappropriate treatment of our fans and should complain officially whilst the SFA should do something about it.

Given that it was the Ceptic fans who wanted to leave early, could the stewards not have assisted them in leaving the ground instead?

Doesn't make you a Hun to hate Celtic. Can't stand them myself these days (and I can remember loving watching them under Tommy Burns - what a team that was! pure entertainment - didn't win anything but I don't care). Not so long ago, I would have disliked Rangers more (then Hearts with Mad Vlad's...um...management style) but John Reid (how many have died or been maimed through his lies and he has the cheek to call anyone else's honesty into question?!?) has rocketed Celtic in my view (and it seems many others) right to the absolute top of the hate pile. Until Dr Death goes the way of his troops, I expect them to remain there for many years.

Did anyone else struggle with the 'joke' reference? I was thinking Barcelona's Nou Camp and wondered if there was some sort of reference to Jock Wallace managing Seville :slapme:

Anyway, poor taste joke. Lucky you're not a ref! But I do think it's time to stop the you must be ICT and 'Rangers or Celtic'.

Got the bus down, but the train back so dunno about the roads later on. Going down it was bad from Daviot to Aviemore, some parts of it were horrendous. But once you get about Kingussie and Newtonmore it was completely clear all the way to Glasgow.

Not sure how many times I need to post but don't need to try and prove to anyone that I support Inverness Caledonian Thistle, no I am not 'a hun' who sings the sash, billy boys or famine song nor will I be, obviously you didn't read my previous post!!!

For those who know me and sat beside me at Ibrox they'll know I was in the away end and was dancing about the stand when we equalised, unfortunately I can't make the home game against Rangers but if I could I would be sitting in the North stand cheering on TB and the boys like every other game if not more.

Does anyone else want to have a completely unprovoked pop at me and doubt my loyalties?

I didn't accuse you of being a hun. I just asked if you could explain the "Big Jock New Camp" reference. I don't know what it means. Care to elaborate?

Big Jock knew is a song that fans started singing to Celtic in reference to the sexual abuse scandal within Celtic Boys Club. Jim Torbett, a coach at Celtic Boys Club, sexually abused a number of young players during the 1960s and 70s. There have been allegations that Jock Stein and others within the Celtic heirarchy at the time were aware that this was going on and covered it up. There's no evidence for this, although according to Alan Brazil, who was molested by Torbett, the Kelly family who ran Celtic at the time were aware of the abuse and didn't take any action - Link

Calling Celtic Park the Big Jock Knew-Camp is therefore a reference to this. A more accurate title would be the Kelly-Family-Knew Camp.

Ok folks. can we lose our fixation with "Big Jock". The OP - who wrote the phrase once - has explained it was an attempt at humour or a play on words for Barcelona's "Nou Camp" which almost no-one 'got'. It is quite clear the reference was to the stadium and not to anything else, and Chris has succintly explained in one paragraph what the 'something else' that some of you may be getting upset about is.

There is no need to get onto the OP and accuse him of 'being a hun'. If he is/was or ever will be is frankly neither here nor there and none of our business. He also doesnt deserve the abuse he is currently suffering on some of the posts in this thread. If you cant bring yourself to discuss the game, and bask in the glory of yesterday despite the over officious stewarding, and instead feel the need to post abuse please dont bother commenting.... it will save us the task of removing the abusive posts !

Best away day this season so far. Thought the stewarding was dreadfull in the first half, but the coppers asked the stewards to back off apparantly, and in the second half they were (a bit) better. The post match celebrations in the London Tavern were great, and when the singer with his guitar sang Caledonia, we took over the pub! Happy Birthday Caley Away with Terry and Mo. Let;'s make it a win at Tynecastle to make it unbeaten away in 2010! :ictscarf:

I thought Celtic looked poor yesterday - they seemed to lack strength through the spine and we had a lot of possession, more than you'd expect at Parkhead. Celtic obviously have some good attacking players but we managed to nullify them and dominated the midfield for periods. Russell Duncan looked very dominating and busy (when I could see him past the pillar ) and I also thought our full backs played pretty well. When it came to our attacking players, all showed good endeavor and, although I thought he wasn't at his best, Hayes had some success against Mulgrew. Foran is vital in games at the Old Firm and he looked reasonably lively and took his goal very well. Rooney was his usual self. Perhaps the most impressive player in our attacking quartet was Nick Ross, who looked composed in 'the hole' and probed Celtic dangerously.

At the back we looked reasonably solid but again were caught out by McCourt. He certainly doesn't score tap-ins, the bar steward. Aside from that Tokely and Munro again looked solid with Esson making a couple of stops when required.

The most notable thing about Celtic was the lack of confidence I thought they showed. They were 2-0 up at home against a mid-table SPL team but there was always a hint of vulnerability in them and few of the Celtic team looked comfortable on the ball - Majstorovic in particular looked very nervous. Our first goal came from a complete mess created by Majstorovic and Rogne and the second was from a corner that was conceded needlessly and then poorly marked. I suppose starting with three at the back perhaps threw their players and caused the confusion - have Celtic started like this before this season, or any time since the early days of Martin O'Neill?

Special word to the utter dickhead Celtic stewards. What a bunch of complete arseholes.

Celtic are spiralling downhill fast. Two home draws and defeat to Hearts and Rangers recently... maybe we should be aiming for 2nd? :tongueincheek: However what annoys me is when reading the papers, it's all about how Celtic 'threw away points' and 'late lapses in concentration'. They should have never been winning in the first place. We played well and could have won the game.

Not long back, and I can now post what was an opinion of most of the match. You can read anywhere what happened on the field and good it was, but the treatment of our fans by the stewards reached new lows today. At the age of 52, I was thrown out of a ground for the first time for questioning a steward. My son was ejected in the first half, for "standing on the seats" or "being abusive" or "refusing to sit down" depending on what steward I spoke to. I think he was the 5th. Being unable to get a coherent answer, I asked 6 times to speak to a supervisor, who answered every question that i had with " are you calling me a liar?" I lasted until just after McCourt's goal, when I went to the loo. I was followed there by stewards, who told me "we were waiting for you, you teuchter *******" and ejected me. I missed our goals. After spending in excess of ?100 on a day out, these people ruined it for no good reason. Celtic, you really are shameful. I've gone to footie i this country since 1965, and I've never felt so down about it. And yes, I'll be compaining.

52 - isnt it about time you grew up. :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

Fantastic result! ictscarf.gif

As has already been said, the treatment of our fans by the stewards yesterday was shocking, but that can't overshadow the result. We played some great football at times and I thought everyone on the team had a superb game, from Esson right the way through to Rooney. A draw was the least we deserved. I didn't expect Lennon to take a draw or defeat with grace so I can't say I'm overly surprised with his claim that we offered no threat! It would be very interesting to see possession stats, as at times Celtic were the team playing on the counter attack and with our midfield running the show.

Excellent result to make us undefeated on the road for a calendar year, and perfect timing at the Stadium of Conspiracy. Chew on that, Lennon and Reid.

Oh, and that Majstorovic is a horrible defender. He made Djebi-Zadi look comfortable on the ball.

There is some good feedback this time and I aint even going to start on a Smileymometer cos everybody would get a feckin FIVE.

A few weeks ago I was suggesting that we should rest Shinnie and Ross but - feck me - no way - they are where they are now on merit - I will give Shinnie MOM to boot.

Duff is one of the best right backs in the business - Rosscoe and Granty (albeit suspect to pace) now undertand each other and Rosscoe has got to grips with the concepts of central defence. The engine room of Duncan and Cox is immense and the width and trickery provided by Hayes is as good as any Premier League outfit - Rooney is getting better and better every game and Foran adds that wee bit of experience.

The game to me was a stalemate and Cellic really did not deserve the first goal although they were on top when they scored the second. I have to admit that when the first goal went in my thoughts went to Harm Reduction mode and that is why the draw was just that bit sweeter. If the cross had been met by Rooney or Foran we would have equalised sooner and if Rooney had squared the ball to Hayes instead of shooting it could have been 3-2.

But to me the defining moments were in the dying moments when we got the ball in their corner flag area - and did we play for time - did we feck - we feckin went for it -

I thought that the ref was class but I would love to see the Cellic offside goal as it looked on to me at the time.

And the support just goes on and on - two faves from yesterda:

"Wear your poppy and Wear it with pride" and "Oh Luxembourg is wonderful ... its got a ref and a linesman ..." :rotflmao::rotflmao:

And ma singing prowess is evidently gaining fame as the mannie playing the guitar in the London Tavern stopped my rendition of the Fields of Athenry and then two wummin stormed the stage as I sang "Father and Son" at the Lesbian disco and I had to sit down in safety.

I also thought "Is this a library?" strangely accurate. Thank god we were there to supply a bit of atmosphere.

But was that weird thing with the wall of sound around 20 minutes in, when the whole place erupted for about 3 minutes? They didn't even make as much noise as that again when they scored.

Oops, sorry - just realised this has its own thread...

I can fully empathise with you .Being thrown out by these bullies you missed the incident at the end of the game. The ball mysteriously landed in our supporters area and a young steward sportingly threw it to some of our fans who were having a bit of fun with no intention of wanting to keep their ball, who would want it, out of nowhere this huge steward arrived and as we were celebrating with Terry and Boys he pushed in behind me ,my friend and family almost pushed me over the back of seat in front and I will never know how I held my footing ,my friend twisted her back trying to save herself it was horrendous treatment.I spoke to him and and he was extremely rude I tried speak to another steward and got same treatment .The police were a bit more sympathetic but said they had nothing to do with stewarding.I did get told the offending steward was the head supervisor for the area we were in .The second one I spoke to was walking away and I tapped his arm to get his attention only to be told dont touch me or I will have you for assault, who the hell do they think they are that they can throw their weight around like that.It didnt end there as some man with a clip board appeared and took my name and said he would try to get it sorted out.Next we got escorted out by two very pleasant stewards who were more than understanding .I then decided it is an absolute waste of time and energy to complain as they all stick together. We had a brilliant result and obviously they had to vent their anger on someone .We are quite probably the easiest and best behaved fans these nasty people have to deal with. They just cant deal with the Highlanders and our sense of humour and the fact we know how to make our day out enjoyable.Dont allow these Bxxxxxxx to ruin a fantastic day in the hitory of CALEY THISTLE be proud and try to move on .I have.

The only way to deal with these guys is to directly speak to the police, in this instance you would have been well within your right to report him to them and say you want to report an assault, the police then would have had to deal with it as they would with anyone one the street. Just because they wear a yellow or orange jacket doesn't mean they can push people about. There are cameras everywhere in the stadium and the incident would have been caught on CCTV.

I love the atmosphere of sitting near the guys who sing their hearts out but can't be bothered with the hassle from the stewards so sit further away safe in the knowledge that I won't be bothered by them. It's a poor thing to have to do in this day in age to enjoy a game but the only reason they do it is because they are power freaks who think they can bully fans about especially when it's a small number of fans. The truth is the police can't stand them and from speaking to the police direct they say that their job is made much harder by them. Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done as no matter how many letters we write or phone calls we make it won't change.

Believe me we spoke to policeman who was in the area and my friend even got his number which he willinly gave when she asked for it but he insisted they have no control over stewards so I rest my case.
