Booking Fee at ICT

Dont want to sound like a moan but its just an enquiry to see if anyone knows!!

Per ticket you buy online at ICT there is a £1.25 booking fee (fair enough most clubs are the same), But i bought 3 tickets on tuesday morning at 8am and now found out they havnt been sent to me and need to collect them at the stadium

even if they had been sent in the last post on tuesday they would have been here by today, so what do you actually get for the £1.25 a ticket?

It's probably a handling fee imposed by the merchant (ticketmaster) to process card payment. The club won't see any of it, it's just another way that finance companies make money off us - I can think of certain airlines that are ten times worse.

Thought these 'fees' had been outlawed by the government with immediate effect?

The legislation only prevents organisations charging a credit/debit card "processing fee" which is more than they are charged. It does not stop the application of a handling/administration fee. So all companies will do is rename and alter the description of the fee.....i.e. pointless legislation.

In terms of what the £1.25 pays for. It pays for the use of ticketmasters systems for the processing of ticket sales.

I could be wrong, but I don't think ICT charge a postage fee and absorb that cost themselves. I certainly know that the last time I purchased online tickets (not for football), it was a £4.00 (per ticket) fee and then another £5+ for postage (per booking and not per ticket).

If you want to avoid any queues then get to the game a bit sharper. We have the Sports Bar now, so at least you can get there early, get your tickets and then chill out in there for a bit.

When i went to see u2 in 2009....i was furious to see that the booking fee increased in line with the price of the ticket. Some mugs were paying £150 for a ticket, with as much as a £6 handling fee charged on top. DISGUSTING (but thats Live Nation for ya). Why should a £150 ticket cost any more to "handle" than a £50 ticket? Pure SCAM!!

its a global thing ..... get it here too for any concerts we go to see ... even though most of them now even let you print your own tickets, or even download tickets to a smartphone.....

Even when I buy my Toronto season tickets there is a fee right there on the invoice of about $12 for administration although I do have to say that for this one it seems worth it .... for TFC tickets I have access to an "account manager" page which lets me print, forward, download or even sell my tickets for each game......
