The burnt boat on the Beauly Firth

Recommended Posts

Now I have clear memories of an eyesore of a boat on the Beauly firth between North and South Kessock

Does anyone else remember this boat which looked like it had been fire damaged and remained in the same spot for years on end

Can anyone shed any life on this I.e how many years it was there, when was it removed and basically what was her story?

Don't remember that one but recall the one at Clachnaharry that was off the canal entrance for many years. I think it eventually sank.

The Vital Spark is at Inverary or at least it was last year ;-)

Here it is I was out for a walk this week it might be older folk will remember what it was as there is not much left.  It is just north of the railway bridge over the canal at Clachnaharry.

I remember that one .... as kids, when there was a little bit more of it left, we always used to pretend it was the remains of a viking longboat
