Identify the player from former clubs

Below is a selective list of clubs that 40 current or former ICT players were at before joining us. Quite an exotic mix. And it includes players you had almost certainly forgotten, or at least tried to forget.

It is not a list of all their former clubs, or the club immediately prior to joniing us, that would be too easy. Nor is it necessarily in the right order if more than 1 club is listed. And in some cases the player was on the books of the club mentioned but might not have played a senior game for them.

So that one clever person doesn't reveal all the answers within about 5 minutes, can I suggest that people post just 1 answer at a time, and don't post again until someone else has provided an answer.

Iowa City Alliance - Tom Parratt

I see he's now back in the USA at "Wilmington Hammerheads". Not sure what sort of level that is.

USL Pro league so 3rd tier - although the relationship between most leagues in USA does not allow promotion or relegation so no chance to move up without moving teams. They announced last week that for 2013, the USL-Pro and MLS Reserve leagues will play some inter-league games and teams in USL Pro will be able to affiliate with MLS teams so they seem to be setting it up to be a feeder league: http://uslpro.uslsoccer.com/home/690349.html

This is the main structure in US

  • USSF1 = MLS, 16 USA teams, plus 3 from Canada

  • USSF2 = NASL, 7 USA teams, 1 from Canada, 1 from Puerto Rico, plus 3 new ones joining in 2014. The 2013 league includes Edmonton where David Proctor now plays .. and the newly reformed New York Cosmos. Seen as a stepping stone to being awarded an MLS franchise. Edmonton harbour MLS dreams as do the Cosmos .....

  • USSF3 = USL Pro (12 USA clubs plus 1 from Antigua. includes such delights as Wilmington Hammerheads, Rochester Rhinos, Richmond Kickers, & Antigua Barracuda FC !)

Below that it is a regional pyramid system at various levels down to club, college and state level .... see here for an easier explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_soccer_league_system
