Celtic -V- Inverness CT

Against Elfsborg, Celtic defended very poorly against long throws and were almost outdone by them on one occasion.  Against Shaktar Karagandy, Celtic again defend long throws poorly and concede their first goal from one.  On Saturday, Josh Meekings, who has a long throw, is given the role of throw in taker in the first half and uses the long throw (something we haven't used since Munro in the Christie/Brewster days) and we score the second goal from it.

That's good tactics from Butcher and the management team.

Watching Doran's penalty claim live on TV, my first reaction was that it would have been a soft award. However, having seen it several more times on the highlights, I think it was a clear penalty. Certainly I've seen many softer ones awarded (usually against us).

the linesman should have stuck to his original impression but ... He probably didn't want to antagonise 50,000 celtic fans

Well he shouldn't be in the job if he's scared of making the correct decisions.
