Development League info. (2014/15)

I think one of the reasons for shipping goals and fairly regular gubbings is the fact that every week seem to put out something resembling an U17 squad......and Lewis Horner.  The fact that you're now allowed five overage players, with other teams presumably using it, probably won't help either.

Since the return of the U20/reserve/Development League you could go to a match and in wasn't inconceivable to see Esson in goal, Devine and Tremarco in the defence and Nick Ross, Ryan Christie and Liam Polworth in the midfield.  Even then, there'd be U20 players who'd been at fairly prominent previously; Matthew Cooper at Aberdeen, Joe Gorman at Crewe and Adam Evans at Burnley for example.

Now surely getting gubbed every week can't be good for youth development or confidence.

Yesterday we played Partick Thistle and drew 2-2. We were 1-0 down at ht then they scored again not long after the re-start, before Ali Sutherland with around 5 minutes left scored. Then we made it 2-2 with minutes left from a Liam Polworth free kick which the keeper doesn't catch it clean enough and it ends up in the net.

Quite sure that the season is over or just has one maybe two games left, either way next season they can build on what they have been doing this season.

Final score today:

Inverness CT 0-3 Falkirk

Another, dismal result confirming that we have finished 17th and last, with the least goals scored and the most conceded.

How concerned should we be, if at all?

None, this team next year i can see being mid-table maybe even pushing top 5/6

It would be interesting to know if any of the Falkirk 1st team played today given their fixture gap before the Cup Final.

Had a look at their line-up and the 14 players used, with their total caps this season. The only guy to start a league game was Maybury, but his last appearance in the first team was in November. I'm surprised they didn't take the opportunity to play some first-team guys...I doubt any of these players will feature against us. Possibly keeping their 'cards close to their chest'!

Alan Maybury 9
