The big Europa adventure thread

Winning the Europa League will secure us automatic qualification into the 2016 Champions League group stages. Not that bothered about the European Super Cup to be honest, but would be a nice bonus, a bit like the North of Scotland Cup.

Except you need to beat the Champions of Europe to win it :-P

out of interest....

I am of the belief one round would be great and to bow out without getting battered would be great.

at what point though does the europa adventure starting become a drain on the clubs finances and players?

I was also led to believe that as we go in 1 round after Aberdeen in theory we could be drawn to play them????

in truth though I just hope that

A. I can go to at least one leg

B we don't get humiliated

and C I can afford the away leg

I know we made about 2-3 million from our 3 rounds. However, i'm sure St. Johnstone and Motherwell made a loss. I think the experience of playing in Europe will help you guys immensely, no matter what the finance bonus or loss

What are the chances of the club offering seats a decent rates on their charter flight from Sneck? Makes them pennies and helps out fans.

I'd be up for that. Surely there will be 80-100 seats available to fans on a 140 - 160 seater charter.

Would certainly cut out a lot of the logistics for many of us.

Possibly one for CaleyD? If the first leg of rd 1 is tight we'll be hanging on till the 16th and the away game could (will?) be 7 days later.

If the club could even give any hint of provisional travel arrangements and look for notes of interest/deposits it would be great.

The club have been speaking to two companies who specialise in travel for these kind of things but with a large number of possible locations it's not practical to draw up options for them all.  Once the draw is done on Monday and the options are narrowed to just a couple (or we may actually know for sure) then I'm sure things will quickly kick in to place.

All I can say for now is that the club have asked that chartering a larger plane and selling the additional seats be looked at as one of the options.
