IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER

Memory test

Kings of the wild frontier by Adam and the Ants. My first single was Ultravox's Vienna. Both would have been early 1981.

Decent taste for an 8 year old, I think!

Parallel Lines by Blondie, later swapped with a school friend (Davey Hendry) for Sex Pistols Rock 'N' Roll Swindle which he had gotten from a certain mr. A Douglas ... there were lots of record swaps going around in those days ...

but where did you buy your records ? I think most folk went to Woolies or Boots although the more refined (in their own minds) or those into shortbread tin music went to the Record Rendezvous ... and if you did want something alternative it was up the stairs to the Other Record Shop which was a great wee place.
