So what chance of it being on this Tuesday? If the pitch wasn't covered up to make it playable for yesterday it will have frozen snow on it. Can't see that shifting in the next 48 hours if the USH isn't used.

In the Championship, are you obliged to conform with the ubiquitous and frequently fatuous "SPL rules" - formerly applied to keep out the riffraff - which said you had to use USH? Why spend thousands thawing out a pitch for a game which is bound to lose thousands more by taking place in weather which will keep people away in probably still freezing conditions?

Why not instead play the SPFL Jobsworths, whose geography apparently stops at Castlecary, at their own game?

Livi (in)famously don't utilise their USH for games at lower levels by all accounts.

can we even afford to put the heating on?

It's not about affording the pitch heater, its the melting  snow/ice that will cause the pitch to turn into a mud bath, best to scrape the snow off before the game using volunteers!

The club used to often ask for a bit of help clearing the pitch and taking off the covers. Never hear them asking anymore. Can only assume either they now have plenty people to do it or they don't use the covers or phyically clear snow anymore.

Or some third way where the systems have changed altogether.
