Brechin -V- Inverness CT

It’s results like these that make a season. Looked like we’d drop points after Tremarco was sent off, so an outstanding turnaround. HOWEVER, our discipline is going to take its toll: it has already taken Raven from us, now Tremarco will miss a game - add in the accumulated yellows for the likes of Vigurs and we might struggle to field a team towards the end of Jan!

For now, however, we can rejoice in the fact that QoS, Livi, Dunfermline, Morton will be looking over their shoulders....watch out - the Highlanders are coming!

There is no doubting his work rate and commitment but it has been obvious for a long time that Baird is not the answer to our long standing goal scoring problem.

Oakley just might be but to establish whether he is or not he needs a fair chance and a run of starts. That should begin on Tuesday. We still have a chance of forcing our way into the playoffs but to do that we need to start scoring much more regularly.

Dodged a bullet there by the sounds of it : losing to Brechin would have been a new low.

St Mirren away next : could be a sore one unless our performance level improves : will be there although with no great optimism.

Keep plugging away and we might scrape into the play offs, but can't see us going up especially as the system is so heavily weighted in favour of the team which finishes 11th in the Premiership. Only in Scotland could the powers that be devise such a illogical way of doing it.

We seemed to start playing better at the front when Oakley came on first goal was an og by brechin. Baird was pants the brechin defence dominated him but couldn't cope with Oakley his presence and strength shown through and his little dink past Smith in the brechin goal put a smile on my face as it wiped the smug smile off smiths face. Funny how he started running to collect balls after that one. But to go and get the winner after being down to 10 men good effort and I'm putting that at Oakley feet he seemed hungrier for the ball.

Cripes so it is!

Another potentially tricky one : old rivals who seem to have picked up this season and a match we need to win if we are to have play off aspirations.

GOAL!!!!!

Baird claiming it. if only we could play Brechin every week so Baird can score

Think it was an o.g. Baird was pretty useless and really should have been subbed at ht along with Polworth. Although Oakley scored 2 I’ve never really been impressed by him and a lot of it could be put down to Brechin tiring. Would like to have seen Doran get a spell. Coll Donaldson was MoM for me and wait till you see his part in the winner.

Fair play to the lads with being down to 10 men and grinding out a win. 3 points off fourth place now. Nice!! January looking like a decisive month indeed. Hope injuries and suspensions dont bite us on the bum.

Hope Seedorf is ok with Tremarco missing for Livi game.

With Tremarco out, could Raven get his farewell appearance playing left back?
