Finally I have broken down. Why?

Because there are so many moans and groans  about what the Board is not doing but rarely is there  a mention from the moaner(s) about contacting the Board.

Now IHE seems to want to pursue this and has asked for input--the question is.how many  moaning  posters have contacted him in response to his requests for input that he intends to parcel up and hand over to the Board?

Please remember. IMHO they are also newbies at their job and probably need stuff to be brought to their attention before they can, or want to, act.

But if you want to just moan but can't be bothered to put stuff in a note to IHE how do you think that helps?

Team against St J tonight: Mackinnon, Hastings, Fyffe, Nicholson, Harper, Hyde, Brown, Gunn, MacGregor, Mackay, Kennedy.   Subs: Harkness, Innes, Gamble, Russell

Jack Brown puts caley 1-0 up

HT 1-0 Caley however Mackinnon has gone off injured and with no sub goalie available Gabriel Hastings (son of Richard) has had to go in goals for the second half.

Good start to the second half, 2-0 up now Daniel Mackay

FT 2-0 back to winning ways for the U18s and lasting 45 minutes without a proper keeper aswell, looking forward to seeing Jack brown being given a chance in the first team, a very good talent and could go far if given the chance.

is Gabriel Hastings not one of Richards brothers boys?

What would a ICT U18 player need to do to get into the national squads?  U18s /U19s no player there?

to be good enough for selection but if they are not performing at the top level on a regular basis their exposure will not be as effective.

3 players have already had experience at U18 level for Scotland

that's good to hear. was this at squad training sessions or have they won caps? If they have why have the club not given these boys the publicity they deserve? I may be wrong but I don't recall seeing anything about this.

What an impressive  team record !  And therefore it is very sad that the either uninformed, or complacent, Directors of our club do not have the foresight to continue motivating this team of outright winners by making an effort to congratulate them as much as possible IN PUBLIC.

Frankly, to me the lack of it is, if true as described,  just sickening.

A very good start would be to commence by posting  a congratulatory and praising thread here on this site. That would at least show the young boys how much the upper echelons of the club  appreciates them -- and encourages our punters to keep on keeping on.

You know , on the presumption that the Directors either individually or collectively are astute businesspersons, how do they think they can help the club make substantial progress and put bums on seats  unless they, at the very least, praise and promote the youngsters. These young men are our future for goodness sake. The ignorance here, and frankly that seems be what exists, is mind-blowing. As business owners do they not advertise their wares or do they assume that the heavenly light surrounding their halos can be seen for miles and therefore since all roads lead to Rome their business success is already guaranteed.

By publicly showing deserved praise to the boys and their families they will be seen to be offering top-line encouragement, making friends and influencing people. They are also promoting their own interests bi-laterally since we presume they have  at least a smattering of interest in the local community and by publicly praising this young and inspiring team of lads they show how much they do care about the team's progress.

Sitting in an ivory tower does a little for the polishing of THEIR  ego but virtually nothing for the promotion and recognition of the young team's  hard work and achievements. Not to mention the obvious  lack of direct and connecting interest of the future of this fine club.

Shame on the Directors of this club for their lack of interest and insights.

The U18 squad only began in August/September this year.   Last year's U17 squad didn't have any of our lot either as far as know.  Any info?

Given the positivity around the U18 squad, the big question has to be where next for these guys? The first team isn't performing poorly but we lack goals, however all to often we have seen the door to regular first team appearances seem closed to youngsters at our club over the years. We need a mechanism where these guys can get chances going forwards rather than bringing in guys released from elsewhere who may be not significantly better players but costing the club more.

Also we need to look at who the outstanding talents are or may be and look to get extended contracts in place - we as a club cannot afford our best youth talent to walk away for nothing or pitiful sums to other clubs if they start to shine, equally we shouldn't be just releasing them because we have no mechanism between youth and first teams - even if its signing with a view to several seasons of HL or L1/L2 loans.

What a great bunch of clean-cut and fit looking lads!    We sure are lucky to have them for J. Robertson  and the junior team's coach to work on and assist so that they can take their places probably in the1st team one day.

Ice hockey in the really ambitious teams in Canada is also going the same or similar ways.  Going for  youth and talent, and speed + fitness. By the way, last night I was watching the current premier team in the National Hockey League in North America, the Washington Capitals,  down the Canucks in Vancouver 5-2. on the TV in front of a biased 25,000 or so spectators. Watching their skill and positional  deployment was very  enlightening. A  clever and fast team,  very well trained, and contained the Canucks with ease. Last year they won the top tournament in the NHL  the Stanley Cup.The Canucks, believe it or not, also came within an ace of winning the cup only a few years ago in an electrifying last game  in Vancouver. That Final  went to  7 games to get a winner. Fast and furious, ladies and gents,  leaves the crowd gasping with excitement.
