January signings

Ryan Dow--great set of teeth but his ice  blue eyes could preface a steely warning  stare waiting to break out to stop the opposition in their tracks. :ponder: Looks fit though?

Anyway hope he might be a hard running  player who can  get the ball into the area of the net for someone NOT to miss a good chance to score ?

^ Both have bigger fan bases than us, more money available and it has to be assumed this was part of the deals for either club when they enticed the new management teams. I will suspect a lot of teams in the league will do some business - but we will probably be doing the least and possibly most uninspiring.

Dow signed for peterhead till the end of season. His father in law is the manager.

After being released from county. Peterhead was the only team in spfl he could play for as under their rules no player can play for more than two teams in the same season.

Modest transfer business need not necessarily be uninspiring depending on who we bring in.

Seasons done mid table finish again unless Robbo gets a striker in where's his contacts even for a loan signing we could've buried Queens with a better striker! So much for the players big talk never wanting to feel like they did after cunty beat them ffs

Messi would make no difference it's the tactic's that need to change

True we can be brutal to watch but still making enough chances to kill these teams with even a semi decent finisher! Don't think Robbos got a plan b tbh been the same style since he came back!

Issues with signings not go back to pre season for me. We need to improve on what we have and we make signings based on performances against highland league sides.

Need to play against better oppositon rather than signing them as a result of scoring against these sides.

It's as clear as day with the finances the board aren't desperate to go up its a balance the books pay for a average mid table side and with any luck we might get play offs.

I'd personally far rather watch our youth team getting more game time than some of our current crop. If it's another mid season may as well get them valuable game time rather than the journeymen who have little to no respect for our club and will soon be gone again.

Pre-season - we can only play those who want to play us. Bigger teams wont travel up to Inverness to play a floundering team offering little competition and we can unlikely guarantee the gate would even cover their costs - add that to our lack of funds for any fancy tour we are left with local and cut price. If that's HL and local lower league teams its the measure of where we sit.

Average mid-table may be what is required to get the club into the black - our outgoings significantly exceed the incoming and now we have no TV or windfall monies associated with the Premiership and what it brings, then we are more reliant than ever on gate money. Right now our average gates of 2000-2500 will not support a team anything other than mid table Championship at best. Time for all to realise this.

Agree on the last point about youth players and exposure and been saying that since mid season last year. Better playing 2 or 3 of them and distributing the saved 'journeyman' wages to sign slightly better (but less) 'journeymen'

On the whole, while the tactics do need to change, I think that Messi just might have put away some of the opportunities we have created and missed this season.

Or is it clear that no one, board included , are desperate to put the club to the brink - again.

Don't think it's really clear how perilous things were just a short while ago...getting rid of Drapers wage and banking 100k in the process made a hell of a difference. Might not seem like much but that's where we were, and are not to far on from at present.

Reality check. Out of the 10 teams in the championship we are 6th in wages for players - where are we in the league ?

Answers on a postcard...

Yeah but that’s the problem we have tom  compare apples with apples and our strikers are decent championship strikers when you compare them to other championship strikers.
