Happy with the result today not a great game and Robbo changing the team to help for the playoffs. There was too much drinking in the hospitality when Austin got man off the match I hope it wasn't old caley girl that picked him ?

Well done to all : third place is the best we could have hoped for realistically.  Play offs will be tough given the 'only in Scotland could that be dreamt up'  format but on the positive side, the opposition are no great shakes.

Looks like St Mirren will be the PL second bottom team : would certainly prefer them to Hamilton

Maybe not the best game ever but a win and a clean sheet against a team who once looked likely to beat us to a play off spot, overtaking Ayr to claim what could be a crucial home game in the second leg of our tie against them and a very handy extra £75,000 in our very public battle for finance.

All opposed to finishing absolutely rock bottom and being related to the third tier. I know things have been far from rosy but which of the two 2015 cup finalists would you prefer to be a fan of ?

Congratulations as well to Alloa who, had the only part time team in the division, avoided, not only only automatic relegation but the play off spot as well.

The hard work now really begins but we are capable, we can do it.

Pretty uninspiring stuff today never really carved out any clear cut chances but happy to take the win.Thought Trafford was excellent  and Mchattie put in a decent shift at left back other than that pretty average stuff. Looking forward to next week and hopefully the Inverness public will respond, at only £12 a head there can be no excuses.

Semi Finalists in the Scottish Cup, 3rd in the League, very successful under 18s. A great season so far.

A very good season. Only successfully negotiating the play offs will make it a great one.

Not the best we've played this season, but the priority was avoiding injuries and suspensions, and we managed a home win, a rare result in the league!

Dunfermline were poor, and the goal resulted from a defensive mess up, but Austin was composed to score. He could have had a couple more with better finishing. Walsh hit the post with a screamer.

Ridgers made one really good save, but was not tested much otherwise.

We sensibly subbed Donaldson and Trafford when they had knocks. Hopefully not serious and both are fit for Tuesday.

A quiet game for most players, but those worthy of mention are Ridgers for his save, Rooney, when going forward, McCart who looks so composed, Trafford and Chalmers, who both put in a shift, and Austin who was very busy.

Polworth came on as a sub, and his vision stood out, although he did react to some niggles on the pitch. We need to find a replacement for him.

Would have liked to have seen Machedo, but the injuries put paid to that.

A poor game, but a result that hopefully gives momentum and confidence, with Polworth and Doran presumably returning on Tuesday. Is Tremarco out for the season?

As for the awards, shame more did not stay behind to support the players: a cup semi and third place is better than we hoped for. The show was stolen by super captain Carl's daughter in her party dress!

Congratulations to all who got awards. Doran and Walsh from the fans. Donaldson from the away travelling fans. Chalmers / Welsh and McCart from the players, Chalmers from the press, and special mention to the top under 18 MacGregor.

Well done all, keep it going for the next three weeks!!

Good!  An upbeat thread!

Glad that Trafford is finally being recognised for his work. And the other players also .

Roll on the next few matches. Sounds as if ICT has a great chance of moving onwards and upwards.

Well done to all the players  at this point. Cheers....

S.P.

Trafford is now looking like a player who was once an international. He is starting to believe in himself and more confident on the ball. On the basis Ayr will be pumped up for the play offs, we need to super concentrate during both games. With Shankland back, we are up against some very dangerous attackers in their team who not only respect him but feed off him. Under no circumstances do we underestimate the task in hand. Ayr are a very good team. Early in the season they were league leaders and will wish to put the record straight that ICT may have finished 3rd but they want to join the SPFL more than ICT do. After all, they did go to Dundee United in late November 2018 and hammer them 5-0. Shankland scored 4, Moffat 1.

We also don't want Donaldson getting a bad injury before we flog him to Ross County.

Are you seriously suggesting that we drop an experienced player and play a good but untried and untested  U18 player in our two most important games of the season so far?. Ridiculous post but not unexpected.

I would of had wee roddy in months ago think he got injured right enough! Obvs to late to punt him in now need to go with Trafford and hope he can play like he did against Dundee Utd ! If we don't go up this year tho expect to see the team built around McGregor u read it here first my man
