.Do you remember the Dundee game?

Watched it on teletext 😂 Wouldn’t have travelled up for a midweek game on a school night at that time. Probably started with the United replay in 98.

The one blootered over was Davie Brennan. Caley got him from Shotts Bon Accord. The other one looked like Paul McKenzie and so did the one in normal time. Either him or John Scott. That earlier one looked tailor made for 10cc to take mind you, as he won it.

The goal we did get is a reminder of what a classy player Danny MacDonald was. His career was tragically ruined by injuries.

That one over the bar was horrendous. It looks like he’s just rushed at it. Shame as that was a great performance. Miss the old days of competing well against the bigger sides.

Been adding plenty more of Mantis's old ICT videos to YouTube.

Loads just gone up from 1999-00 and 2000-01 with plenty more still to come.

Enjoy!

The 7-3 against Ayr and 4-0 against Airdrie are two of the most memorable matches I've ever been to.Thank you so much for putting these up.

The Ayr game was just absolutely mental. David Bagan scored two worldies in the second half. I think Dennis Wyness had only started scoring regularly a month or so beforehand, but he was on fire. That turn and shot for goal number six is, frankly, a bit sexy. It's not in the highlights but I swear Davide Xausa missed a sitter for an eighth goal. It was also so cold that my hands were blue despite thick gloves. Totally worth it though.

As for the Airdrie match, their team of Spaniards really weren't up for the Highland winter. Javier Sanchez Broto (who 2 and a half years late would keep goal for Celtic when we beat them in the cup) spent the whole game being taunted by our fans for looking like a porn star and then gave away a penalty by trying to amputate Mike Teasdale's leg at the knee. Charlie Christie's dinked finish was the pick of the bunch.

Ah, the good old days (I'm only 36!!!)

We absolutely murdered Airdrie that day. Ten years earlier it was a big scalp for Caley to knock them out the cup, They were a ‘big’ club, but that day we just dismantled them. Steve Archibald must have been sick of the sight of ICT😂

Remember quite a few of these . The Killie game was a debacle. Was there not a rumour at the time that the locals had complained about the noise made by the heating so it had been switched off?

Good stuff.......keep it coming

What an occasion. What an atmosphere. What a game. What good goals. Will we ever experiance anything like that again? Had to listen to the replay on a transistor radio at the bottom of my in-laws garden in the pouring rain in Hertfordshire............it must have been pissing everywhere that night. Still, Radio Scotland could just be made out. Ultimately disappointing.
