After a weekend off we are back in action in a couple of nights with a long trip to Queen of the South. One of the best away day trips has been ruined because of COVID-19 and the SPFL moving it to a Friday night for coverage on a TV channel that almost no one watches but don't let that get you down and tune in to the BBC Scotland channel from 19:30 on Friday to see us take on the Doonhamers.

A really impressive win over early season "surprise" package Raith Rovers coupled with a number of players coming back from injury means confidence will surely be high ahead of this one. Queens are a shambles of a team thrown together last minute in a similar manner as we were at the start of the 17/18 season. That said, they've not performed that badly so it's not going to be an easy game but hopefully it's one we can win and keep up our remarkable run of results in Dumfries where we haven't lost since 2004! The last time we lost there Busted, one of the great UK heavy metal bands of the early noughties, were number one.

No need for streaming info although after 30 seconds of listening to Leanne Crichton and Jonathan Sutherland you may even be desperate enough for our commentator to take over...

Judging by the weather just now I can see this game being called off. :ponder:

Probably, and not because of consideration of the driving conditions for ICT, decisions will no doubt be based on pitch conditions only. (there is also a high probability that the game will be postponed AFTER the team have travelled down.) Hope not. Stay safe ICT.

Queens have a plastic surface so the chances of the game being called off because of the pitch conditions is remote.

Tonight’s team:

Ridgers

Mckay Devine Deas Harper

Allardice MacGregor

Storey Keatings Kennedy

Sutherland

(perhaps not that formation!)

A strong bench:

MacKay, Duffy, Welsh, Vincent, Doran, Todorov and Mackay.

I hope we put on a good performance and get the three points.

Otherwise it will be a horrible trip back north for the guys given they are not allowed to shower: a disgraceful situation by the SPFL.

Two storeys ? Or one storey in two positions??

Brain and fingers out of synch! Corrected now.

Although if Alan Simpson was still here he’d want 11 Storeys!!

Scrappy start by both teams with a lot of misplaced passes. The ball seems very fast off the pitch which may be the issue. Keatings could have done better with that headed chance though.

Some run from Deas there and so nearly a finish but blocked by the ‘keeper.

GOAL! Kennedy. Brilliant.

Hope they give it to him and not make it an og for the ‘keeper.

Great play from Kennedy. Might get classed as an OG though as it was a cutback that wasn’t on target until it hit the keeper.

We should be out of sight in this one with some good movement and play. but we need to be more clinical. The front four have Queens on the rack and hopefully can grab more goals. I’d bring Storey wide and put Sutherland through the middle in the second half.

We need to watch at the back as they have looked dangerous, particularly down the left, so this game is not won yet.

Final ball’s been terrible or we could be about 4 up. Storey should have laid it on a plate for Keatings. Like to see Doran get 30 mins.
