This rescheduled match was to go ahead tomorrow but there is now a pitch inspection at 09:00 in the morning.

Looks highly unlikely the game will go ahead...

The covers were on yesterday but a harder frost last night and more to come tonight so I think it will be postponed.

I'm not really sure how pitches work but would a later inspection not give more opportunity for the pitch to thaw in the sunlight and be playable? Particularly with a evening kick off, can't imagine Alloa would leaving til early afternoon anyway.

Not looking good with the forecast -3 tonight and 0 with full sun tomorrow afternoon and back to -3 by 5pm and it's the same all week.

At this rate what are the chances of having Toshney, Deas, Devine, McHattie back fully fit for a busy spring run in? And we could have a full midfield and attacking cohort to pick from

No chance Saturday goes ahead.

Anyway, the Alloa game has been re-rescheduled for 23rd February.  Kick off at 7 pm.

Looking more promising for next Wednesday’s game at home to Queen if the South (remember it is an 1830 kick off) as long as we don’t end up with a waterlogged pitch....

With the new date for Alloa, we have an intensive spell playing every three days on the 17th, 20th, 23rd and 26th, with by my reckoning the games at Raith and Dundee still to have new dates (plus the cup games at Buckie and, assuming we don’t slip up, Ross County if the cup is restarted).

We try again tomorrow night at 7 pm just in case anyone cares. Alloa looked unlucky not to take something from their game against Dunfermline on Saturday but recently were turned over 4 - 1 by Ayr United.

We've only won once against Alloa at Home in the league in the last couple of seasons so they are arguably a bogey team of sorts for us. We need to take Saturday's form into this one from kick off and hopefully we can get a couple of goals to give us a decent cushion and grab another 3 points.
