Not really much point starting a match thread for this as the game is certain to be called off although Robbo does suggest that QotS on Wednesday stands a decent chance.

Hearts got a late penalty tonight to draw at Queen of the South: a reminder to us not to be complacent about Wednesday’s game.

We’ve dropped to 8th as a result and will be down to 9th tomorrow unless Alloa beat Arbroath or the weather causes a postponement.

That said we have up to 5 games in hand over the other teams, which is really now wrecking our season.

We are in danger of hitting the bottom today should Alloa beat Arbroath. Only goal difference will be in our favour. Should Arbroath take a point we will be second bottom, now there's a sobering thought.

No matter who takes the points we'll still finish the day in 9th. Alloa are on a GD of -18 (as time of typing), and we're on +3, and on 4 or 5 games behind everyone else (except Dundee who we are 2 games behind on), so as things are going it's not too much of an issue, as right now it appears to be a 9 team relegation battle with 10 points separating us and Raith in second and Dunfermline in third, which to be honest, is not all too much of an ask for us to do, win 3 of our games and we go up into fourth.

Except that's wrong. Had Alloa won we would have remained eighth. That's why my original post said 'only goal difference will be in our favour' and that would obviously keep us ahead of both clubs had Alloa won.... unless they won by at least 21 goals.

Really annoyed again to have established control in the game and looking likely to win, only to throw it away for the 2nd game in a row. Not sure what the cause is. Fatigue/ motivation? Did the wind die off as they seemed to cope much better towards the end of the 2nd half and could have won the game.

Ridgers was fine. Duffy and Harper were much improved from last week. Keatings was linking well and I think Robbo needs to recognise he made the wrong call bringing on Allardice. While I don't think Allardice, Welsh or Vincent had bad games, you can't play those 3 together. They are so similar and lateral. Vincent tried to play further forward but his natural instinct is to play deeper. Carson is another similar player. Robbo needs to pick 2 from the 4 not shoehorn them into other positions. Imo it should have been MacGregor on for Keatings.

Sutherland was playing really well at the target man but then got moved out wide. Not sure why. We created very little after and didn't change back.

McKay/Toddy did okay. Storey had a good first half. Mackay was okay. Doran looks disinterested.

There is potential there, but worryingly there are many more problems to iron out.

Let's just hope the dimwits who run Scottish football do not decide to follow last years debacle, and can the season any time soon. With us in the bottom 2, we really need to get some points on the board.

Would you take a draw?

I have long thought that in just about any football league, if you average 1 point per game you will probably be OK - a place or two above relegation or playoffs.  A quick look round the six English and Scottish leagues that are operating shows that it's true in four, but not in the two Championships.  Tonight's opponents have 19 points from 18 games, but are in 9th place.

That said, we should of course be looking for a win every time we go out.  We are certainly capable of it.

Based of the current form tables over last six games:

Home: ICT W1 D4 L1

Away: Morton W1 D4 L1

Can't help feeling nervous to be honest

It’s probably going to be a high scoring  win for one of the teams!
