Who will join us in the Championship

Dundee beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in the first leg of the play off final, but it sounds like they were by far the better team so they may rue not getting a more convincing win.

We will know on Monday who we will be facing next season as the second leg is then, whilst Morton play Airdrie in their second leg tomorrow.

He has “decided to explore further football opportunities” whatever that means.

It means that Roy Macgregor has decided that wherever Yogi goes 'exploring' next it won't be in the Easter Ross area.

Watching the second leg of the play off final.

Great to see fans back in Scottish football grounds. Hopefully we can all experience that feeling for ourselves in normal numbers from the start of this season.

And it looks like we will be facing Killie next season unless there is a big turnaround in the last 45 minutes of the final.

What happens if Killie drag 3 goals back? Is there an away goals rule or is it Pens?

Extra time and, if still not resolved, penalties but, right now, Kilmarnock don't remotely look as though they can turn things around.

So just as we lose one plastic pitch we gain another...

Gaining two with Hamilton already down and Killie, as mentioned above, looking set to join them.

Congratulations to Dundee in surmounting the unlevel playing field of the Premiership play offs.

However, those congratulations are extended with more than a tinge of what might have been had we only held on to our play off place.

Dundee were no better than us over the course of the season and that Kilmarnock side were worse than the County team we comfortably dispatched in the cup.

We have lost the three teams we failed to beat this season, Hearts, Dundee and Alloa. Hopefully we do better against Kilmarnock, Hamilton and Partick when the new season starts!

Dundee got better and better as the season progressed, whereas we crumbled.

Just like when they beat us they were composed against killie in both legs, sticking to the game plan & working hard for their win.

Well deserved, but I still hate James McPake.

We have away to go to reachthose heights next year.

Scott Allan was our Charlie Adam equivalent. Oh to have him back. 🙏

You are right Dundee would not have been promoted without him!

Looks like it's going to be a very competitive league next season with no clear favourites to go up or down.

Question marks over how Hamilton and Kilmarnock will cope with the drop, especially with the news that Killie are to shed so many of their squad, and whether Ayr and Arbroath can maintain the level they've been playing at. I would imagine that after the scare of the relegation play-off Morton will be pushing a bit harder next season. The Fifers will both rate their chances quite highly, while both QotS and Partick should be in the mix and pose a threat.

I don't think any of them are better placed than us and I'm looking forward to an exciting season where we shouldn't have to be worrying about the bottom end of the table and have as good a chance as anyone else to take the title - but that new 'head coach' appointment is absolutely crucial...
