Shane started well at the start of the season and picked up points throughout the season coming on to his best form in March, April and the start of May before being injured in the away game at Arbroath.  A well deserved winner and hopefully he will make a good recovery from the serious injury picked up at Gayfield. However, early indications are that Shane will be out long term. Congratulations on winning this trophy which was held for the last two seasons by runner up David Carson and a speedy recovery Shane.

  A young player who has come through the ranks and began to show excellent form last season. He made his 50th appearance for the club in the away fixture against Hearts at Tynecastle at the end of November 2011 and scored his first goal of the season against the same side on 21st January 2012 in Inverness. A very pacy and strong forward he will be looking to make a lot more appearances in the starting line-up this season. When given the opportunity, he has a lethal shot which has seen him scoring some excellent goals, both at senior level and also junior level. A lot will be expected of Shane this season as he strives to be one of the main strikers at the club.
  
  Sutherland made his senior début for Elgin City in the Third Division on 23 January 2010, while on loan from Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
  
  He was released by Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the end of the 2012–13 season,and signed for Elgin City in July 2013. After two season with Elgin, Sutherland moved to Scottish League One side Peterhead in June 2015, signing a one-year contract. At the end of his contract Sutherland returned to Borough Briggs for his third spell with Elgin. In January 2019 he returned to Peterhead.
  
  On 16 January 2020, Elgin announced that Sutherland would be leaving at the conclusion of the 2019–20 season to rejoin his first club, Inverness Caledonian Thistle where he is now a regular starter. At the end of season 20/21 having scored six goals Shane signed a one year contract extension. Shane has now gone on to make 162 appearances for the Caley Jags scoring 21 goals in total and 12 this season which included a vital one against Partick Thistle in the pay-off 1/4 final. Unfortunately he has suffered a serious knee injury in a play off game at Gayfield and will be out long term into season 22/23.

The highest number of votes in a game is Reece McAlear for his great finish from Austin Samuels cross and his stunning free kick in the home playoff against St Johnstone. 

The worst referee by far this season is Willie Collum  for his disaster of a performance in the Arbroath away playoff game.

Thank you for compiling the votes.   Shane Sutherland a worthy winner and I do hope he recovers well from that dreadful injury.    Also well done to Willie Collum, the absolute winner of being the worst ever referee all season.

Well said Lizi and thanks to those involved in compiling these.

Sutherland is a deserved winner, but interesting that Carson, Allardice and MacGregor were all in the top six and missed a lot of matches.

That, allied to the Gardyne episode, is the difference in our season between going up and not going up.

It gives us hope for next season, but our signings will be key.

I have nothing but praise for the way that Shane had grabbed his second chance at ICT, with both hands, and got stronger and stronger as the season wore on. I hold my hands up, and say that I wasn't full of enthusiasm when I heard we were resigning him. Not that I thought he wasn't a decent player, but I thought his time had come and gone, but his tireless running, passion, and crucial goals, and finding his best form on the righthand side, had turned him into an important first team member. His injury is such a travesty at this point of his career, but I'm sure he will come back and I am glad the club is supporting him through, what will be, a long road to recovery. Well done Shane on your awards this season, they were very much deserved.

As President of the Robbie Deas fan club I am surprised that he hasn't be scored more highly. Almost ever present during the league campaign (100% starting record and featured in 97% of all 36 league games) he never let us down.
