Not just that (in his day job i guess), he's a sales agent for a retailer of garden products. Helped me arrange the delivery of a summer house last year. Very helpful and can't fault his customer service or politeness.

The team he was playing for is not in mainland Africa, and is eligible to take part in the French Cup.

Yes. Played on the French island of La Reunion  for many years and one season his team qualified but lost 4-3 on aggregate to a South African side in the first round.
