Capercaillie are playing a few dates in England, to mark their 40th anniversary.

Saw them last night in London at the very wonderful Union Chapel in Islington.  Only the second time I've ever seen them - the other time was long ago, supporting Runrig.

They were excellent. Karen Matheson still has her lovely voice, and the rest of the band were magnificent too.  Sound was great, so you could clearly hear all the different instruments, including the variety of shakers and bells and things used by the percussionist.

They are playing four dates in Scotland - including Eden Court - next May, if you're interested.   https://capercaillie.co.uk/live/

They were on at the Hoolie in the Hydro last week amongst 4 other bands plus a tribute to Fergie Macdonald. We had got early bird tickets a year ago and it clashed with the Montrose game which was a bummer. In the event I woke up with a flu type virus on the Saturday morning so we never went. Had a hotel booked as well. Last year the gig was on the same day as we won 4-1 at Hampden which was ideal.
