What an amazing performance from Andy Murray! He has really hit form at the right time, i was delighted to see him going 2 sets up on Nadal, but when the spaniard took the next set after resuming the match a few pundits were saying that Nadal will be too strong for Andy.

How wrong they were!! Now Federer stands in the way of the first grand slam win by a Brit(scot) for donkeys years.

Murray has been simply awesome in the US Open. He is hitting the ball much harder now and playing much more aggresively. He completely outmuscled Nadal. Who would have thought that after Nadal's stunning performances at Wimbledon. It was fantastic to see Murray run him ragged last night and when Nadal was struggling for breath after another epic rally the writing was on the wall for him. The second last point, 22 shots of the highest order from both players ending with Murray the victor, and Nadal bent double absolutely knackered after chasing back and fore across the court retrieving thunderbolts from Marray's raquet.........fabulous stuff.

Wonderful wonderful performance by Murray with some shots quite frankly just breathtaking. He is now showing the correct attitude and aptitude, this could be his chance at a slam event, but don't rule out Federer, he is the Master at the US in recent years.

Geezo, Federer bullied Murray the same way Murray bullied Nadal. Just brutal display by Federer, he truly is a great champion. I thought he was unlucky to lose to Nadal at Wimbledon and he showed tonight what a master he is.

Closer than the score may suggest, and in the second set Murray had him on toast, but the effects of his punishing semi with Nadal seemed to render him helpless to the Federer onslaught as he tightened the screw at the right time in the second set and eased his way to victory.

Well done Roger, worthy winner, and fantastic performance by Andy to get to the final, just a step too far though.

Good post, I suspect that Murrey will be quite happy even though he did not finish the job and pick up the winners cheque, having never beaten Nadel before and beating Federer twice he will know that he capable of competing with the best, im sure his best years are ahead of him.

Good start to the year for Andy Pandy, he has just beaten Federer again, thats five wins to two for Murray now, although one of the wins for Federer was a slam event.

He now plays either Nadal or Davydenko in the final at Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
